Sylvia nodded in agreement with Pylia's words and she commented "...Agreed. To use the ballistas against him...that would be brutal," She then looked to the aforementioned ballista, and saw how Buddy and Shortfang were moving it (well, it was mostly Buddy, but still). She couldn't help but chuckle at how Shortfang was excitedly saying that the ballista was the biggest crossbow ever. It was adorable.

She then looked to see Shor and Aisha arrive. She listened as Aisha briefed her and her friends on the situation that was taking place now. She looked to the keep as well when Aisha looked towards it as well. When Aisha mentioned that she would be deciding who would be going with their group, she had to take a moment to silently think about it. Aisha was definitely a magic user while Shor was probably a melee fighter, if she guessed correctly. She considered having Aisha go with them as Sylvia and her friends were mostly melee with some spell casting. Pylia was probably the only one out of them who could use a wider variety of spells than the rest of the party.

However, there was the fact that there were the coming situations to consider as well. They were going to be going into the keep. Aisha's magic might be better used out in the courtyard, where she has room to move and she could have more space to use magic. Plus the gators would probably be able to protect her better than the four of them. Shor would also probably be able to handle going into a keep and he would probably want to see that this situation was taken care of himself.

With these thoughts in mind, Sylvia answered Aisha, "Thank you, Aisha. I think it would be a good idea to have Shor come with us into the keep while you stay and take care of the courtyard,"
Sylvia blinked rapidly at the screaming trog that Buddy had casually stomped on and kicked off the stairs. Despite that being a warning sign, she still wasn't really prepared for the sight that she was about to see. The sight of dead bodies all around, kobold and troglodyte...and Yorik had taken some heavy hits as well. Then there was the fact that the giant crocodiles were breathing acid! Was that why they called the giant crocodiles the Sewer Dragons? Was that normal in Keratia?

Clearly, Keratia still had many surprises for Sylvia.

She shook her head as though to shake the surprise and keep herself from freezing at the large amount of dead bodies (war is truly hell on...Keratia?) After taking in the area, and the keep ahead, she considered the situation. She answered Pylia, "I think we should wait for reinforcements. If we charge in now, the four of us would probably be at a disadvantage. Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if Red Stain came out here to fight us," She recalled hearing that the troglodytes respected strength and that they wouldn't listen to the leader if it seemed like he was just using the trogs as meat shields. Did that mean that they would kill the leader if that was the case...? Sylvia wasn't sure.
From the exterior, Trina's Trinkets seemed like any other shop. The shop sign itself was wooden, dyed purple with carved cursive writing that read '[i]Trina's Trinkets', finished with a wand underneath the writing, as though it had conjured the words onto the sign. The interior of the store was well wit, and it seemed to be cooler in here than it did outside. Was there some magic involved in cooling the store? Numerous items and potions were placed on shelves behind the counter, or were locked in the display case in front of Elaranna. A lot of these look expensive!

As you enter, the sound of a bell rings above you, and a woman wearing robes of blue, purple, and black appears. Trina appears to be human, with her black hair done up into an intricate bun with long pins poking out from them. Her green eyes look to Elaranna as she greets, her voice serene, "Welcome to Trina's Trinkets. I am Trina. How may I help you today?"
At first Sylvia was worried that this was going to be another boulder incident where Shortfang and Buddy would give her looks for...not being as physically strong as Buddy. Thankfully, that wasn't the case as she was able to move the lever after she got some momentum on it. Once she moved the lever, she stayed where she was and listened carefully. Once she heard Yorik's battle cry she smiled. She nodded to Buddy and moved away so that he could break the lever.

She nodded to her friends after they all said their piece, agreeing with their words of continuing upwards to join the battle. She let Buddy take point of the formation and she answered them, "Let's get going! Stay on your toes guys. We won the battle, but the war is not done yet," She then headed upstairs with her friends. She prepared herself in case anything were to suddenly attack them.
Sylvia took the moment to catch her breath after Shortfang and Pylia finished off the last two trogs. The battle was won, but the war was still raging above. It was a good thing that she only used a little bit of her ki, just in case. She nodded to Pylia when she called out urgently. Before she followed however, she accepted the healing potion from Shortfang, and she answered him, "Thank you, Shortfang," before she quickly uncorked it and drank the contents of the potion. She could feel her wounds heal as the potion takes effect. She then hurried to the lever.

Once she reaches the lever, she would grab the lever. She then looks to Buddy and she tells him, "If this is the lever that opens the gates for our friends, then break this after I pull. I don't want those trogs closing the gate on them again," She had a feeling that Buddy might be strong enough to break the lever after it's pulled.

She then pulls the lever after she made her statement.

Sylvia was impressed with Shortfang's and Pylia's moves as they dealt their blows to the trogs. It was like they were all in some sort of epic movie. Despite the damage they dealt, the trogs were still going to attack them! She gasped quietly as the trog managed to bite Buddy's face. Thankfully, it seemed like Buddy was okay because he simply tossed the trog aside like it was nothing more than just another pest. Unfortunately, that meant that the other trog managed to slip by him and reach her! She managed to dodge its teeth, but the claws got to her. She yelped in pain. When she heard Pylia call to her, she answered back, "For now!" She then tried to attack the trog. Unfortunately, her tonfa went wide, but thankfully that gave her the chance to get a hit in with a roundhouse kick. When she heard Shortfang call to them, she called back "Good idea, Shortfang!" She hoped that Shortfang's idea would work. Would Syfr be strong enough to push the lever? They'll just have to see.

Sorry for the wait. Had family over. ^^"
Sylvia was grinning as she easily dodged and feinted past the attacks that were directed at her. If she hadn't taken patient defense, then she would have been torn apart! She was glad she had made that choice. She immediately felt her wounds close and her spirits rise as Pylia gave her words of encouragement. She called back, "Thanks Pylia!" before turning her attention back to the two trogs surrounding her. She decided to trust in her friends and deal with the trogs in front of her. She struck at the healthier looking trog with her tonfa before striking the wounded trog with a back handed punch to the face, like she had seen done in the movies. Her back towards the wounded trog and she didn't even need to look at him as she back handed punched him.

Sylvia let out a shout as the trog managed to bite her and scratch her with its claws. Thankfully, Buddy was there to finish off the creature. Of course, when Pylia screamed, she immediately turned to look. As she witnessed a trog biting into her arm, she could feel the divine magic disappear. She immediately reacted and threw a sun bolt towards the trog. After doing so, she looked towards the trogs that Pylia pointed out.

She squinted in order to see the lever behind the trog and she called to her friends, “There’s a lever behind them! Let’s get over there together!” She then led the way towards the trogs and after moving as far as she could, she braced herself for any attacks that may come her way, using a bit of ki to help her dodge. She was in need of healing...

After doing that much damage, she looked to the trogs and saw that despite their fear, they were going to fight to the bitter end. She sighed shaking her head and she muttered "Don't they know when to quit?" She then hears the trogs coming from behind. She turns to face them just as Pylia blocks an arrow from one of the trogs. She decided to focus on them, since she would rather not be overwhelmed. Shortfang can handle the one trog on the other side.

She moved to stand next to Buddy, hoping that while she moved in that direction she could potentially find the lever or some way to open the gates for the kobold army. She struck the healthier trog with the tonfa first, hoping to do significant damage to it, before finishing off the trog Buddy attacked earlier with an oncoming punch.
