Sylvia let out a sigh as soon as they reached the room. She listened to Pylia as she took off the armor and spoke. She mentally noted to buy lighter armor for Pylia when they go shopping for gear. She answered her friend when she offered to heal her, "Ah, thank you. Yeah...I figured today wasn't a good day to wear the fancier dress from Cassari. That might be better worn when we go to see the Duke,"

While Pylia would start tending to her wounds, Sylvia would ask, "Speaking of the Duke...what did you think, Pylia? Regarding what Shor and Aisha said about the Duke and Senaschal,"

She was not only curious, but she also wanted to make sure Pylia is in a conversational mood so that it would be easier to start the discussion regarding her meeting with the skeleton.
Sylvia could feel a slight blush rise in her cheeks at the mention of her being a foreigner and not knowing much because of it. Apparently it was that obvious. Still, she wasn't going to complain about it, and she listened as Shor spoke highly of the Duke, but knew little of the Senaschal. The fact that he was the third Senaschal was concerning and the previous Senaschal was hung for treason. Sylvia was glad to hear Aisha's candid remarks, not only because it shed a little more light, but it also aligned with her own feelings that she had thus far: The Duke may not be corrupt, but he may be manipulated by someone who is...

At that thought, she glanced towards Pylia to see if she could see her expression in response to Aisha's words. Sylvia did recall how Pylia seemed to believe that the Duke only cared to rest on his laurels then go and fight a dragon if it returned.

Sylvia had mixed feelings on Aisha's comment on the leader only being led by the people, but she kept silent on that. She wanted to keep listening to Aisha's rant, but the market crowds were deafening. In the end, Shor advised her on how not to offend the Duke and Senaschal, and she answered him, "Thank you, Shor. That will definitely help," She then looked to Aisha, and she told her, "And thank you for your candid answer, Aisha,"

She then bid them a good-bye for now, "We'll be heading back to the Silver Stag for now. Hope to see you tonight at the party!" She then started heading back to the Silver Stag.

....When they get back, Sylvia was going to start that discussion she wanted to have with Pylia.
Sylvia smiled to Shor and nodded answering, "It's a deal, Shor," She then shook his extended hand. She then looked to Aisha as she stood up and brushed off the sweat and sewage. It was only past noon?! To Sylvia, it honestly felt like an entire day had passed. Though, then again, she did just use a lot of her ki. She could probably use some rest. She stood up to leave as well, and as she did, "Oh! Shor, Aisha. Sorry, I have one more question, and this one is just out of curiosity as well. We can talk while we head out,"

While they were heading out, she decided to ask Shor and Aisha, "I apologize if this comes off as a little intrusive, but could you tell me about the Duke and the Senaschal? What they're like, what kind of impression do they give you...I'd like to know so I don't accidentally offend either of them when I go to meet the Duke..."
Sylvia blinked rapidly at Pylia's words. She doubled the price for the Wakestone and she felt herself sweat a bit while wincing. While Pylia may be knowledgeable about magic, even Sylvia thought that doubling the price might be a bit much. Then Shortfang spoke his piece. She answered his comment about finding more Wakestone pieces thoughtfully, "That is certainly a possibility. Plus there is still business to be done in the sewers..." Then it was Buddy's turn. She read the book and she was impressed that he asked about real estate. Honestly, she hadn't thought about their living situation. They couldn't really stay in an inn forever and they may be here for quite a bit while the Duke isn't here.

After Pylia asked for her thoughts, Sylvia answered her, "I was definitely thinking of selling the Wakestone as well. As Buddy suggested, we can use some of that money to buy a small house here, and I was thinking we could use the rest of that money to buy some gear for us, like Shortfang was saying. We did come across an interesting shop that seems like they could have such gear. And who knows? Maybe there'll be an item that'll serve a similar purpose as the Wakestone,"

She then looked to Shor and she added, "I don't want to gouge you and the rest of the guard. You guys probably need it to help protect Gransys, right? I think eleven thousand would be the best price in this case," She figured it would be the best price as it would be the most that Shor could get together, and it wouldn't be too low as Pylia suggested.
Sylvia listened to her friends as they answered her question, and she nodded as the answers sounded like the most likely. When Shor brought up the possibility of Red Stain having the Wakestone, she shuddered. Red Stain would have slaughtered them if they had mistaken it for dead. She blinked at the mention of selling the Wakestone to the guards. Her eyes widened a bit at the sound of Ten Thousand gold for the Wakestone. Sylvia thought over the offer. Yes, they could certainly use the Wakestone, but they do know of a store where they could use ten thousand gold to get something else...and she didn't think that the guards would go to the Beholder's store for anything.

She answered Shor, "Hmmm...That is a tempting offer...." She was considering accepting. She looked to her friends and asked, "Pylia, Shortfang, Buddy. Do you guys have any objections to selling the Wakestone?"
Sylvia nodded in response to Shor's question. When Pylia brought out the stone they picked up from the trog, she answered her friend, "We found another one on the dead cultist from the Jabrani tribe. Aisha was able to sense magic from it, but not what kind. She needs these two stones to figure that out," She was honestly curious about the key that Pylia found as well, but she decided that that was a matter for later. She follows her friends to meet with Aisha and convened at a table. She brought out the items that they found and she listened as Aisha identified them. They really did find quite a bounty during this war!

She commented thoughtfully after Aisha identified the Potion of Water Breathing, "The cultist probably had that just in case he needed to make a quick escape without being found,"

When Aisha identified the Scroll of Find Familiar, Sylvia smiled giddily and she commented "Oh that's cool! We could have two animal friends in our group!"

When she made her comment about the Bag of Holding and the results of damaging it or putting it in another bag like it, "Duly noted," with a grave nod.

She then watched as Aisha analyzed the three veinous stones and kept them separated with sticks. It was actually kind of eerie with how the stones were being drawn together. She too grew concerned when she mentioned that there was Necromancy magic in these stones. When Aisha took away the sticks and let the stones form themselves into one, she muttered "Woah!" at the ending result: a stone that looked like a visually accurate heart. At the mention that this was a Wakestone and what it could do, her eyebrows rose upwards in surprise. That could be useful!

But then a thought came to mind. She commented "That's strange, though. If the Wakestone could do that as now...then why would the cultist, trog, and slaad carry pieces of it instead of a whole one? You'd think they would want a complete Wakestone if they wanted it to bring them back to life..."
Rain noted Albrecht's stare, and she laughed, "I know, we're quite a weird combo, huh? A tortle, a drow, and a water genasi! Trust me, there are a lot more colorful characters than just the three of us!" After Albrecht introduced himself, Rain nodded and answered "Nice to meetcha!" After Albrecht made his comment, Rain nodded and answered "Yeah, I can understand that. Bet it's the same for ol' Hoot! None of us can keep that kenku still,"

She then rubbed her chin and she suggested, "Tell ya what. If you really want to help us that bad, then you can, and we'll let you watch the carnival for free tonight. Sound good?"
LOL.
If you do look in the Monster Manual, then I bid you good luck.

;) Who said the monkey was a monster?
Sylvia smiled at the mention of a celebration and she answered Longstrider’s invitation, “We’d be delighted to join in on the celebration! Thank you!” She then watched as Longstrider went up to the dragon egg and informed them that it was a wyvern egg. When she offered to help, Sylvia accepted the offer, “That would be great! Thank you! Honestly, I don’t really know how to take care of a dragon or wyvern,”

After discussions were finished, Sylvia headed out of the hut, saying, “See you at Dragon’s Watch!”

After speaking with Longstrider, she decided that she should speak with Shor and Aisha. Once outside, she asked Shor, “Before we go to the party, could we meet up with Aisha. I think now would be a good time to have her check those two stones that we found...”
Sylvia let Shortfang give his explanation. Sylvia turned her attention to Shor when he spoke, and when he mentioned the seneschal, she recalled that he was going to ask him for reinforcements for the Sewer war earlier. As far as she knew, only Shor’s team helped out. The Seneschal, for some reason, didn’t send help to an important part of Gransys. She felt a little suspicious. What kind of person is the Seneschal?

Her attention was then drawn back to Longstrider. When she asked for their protection, she answered her, eyes locking with hers, “Yes. I promise we will help protect the Sewer Dragons and ensure your freedom. Just call us if you ever need our help,”
