Add boredly watched this girl ramble on and on. Oh god... he was hoping she wouldn't be like another Aisha for all he knew. It was either that she was really some sort of humanoid squid or that she had some colorful imagination. Unfortunately for the Esper, it was clearly the former, given that his Dynamos were getting some weird data from a singles can on Ika. Maybe he should humor her with a bit of help, since it did give him some leeway to continue his ultimate goal.
"Let me get one thing straight here, Ika Musume. I am no subject of yours. I'm just a Time Esper that happened to be transported to the wrong timeline. Call me Add... however, as for the task of cleaning up..."
A creepy smile and laugh came from him, holding up one of his hands to partially trigger his Configuration mode. One of his eyes shifted to a black schlera.
"Allow me to demonstrate what I am capable of... Let's make this icky building... disappear."
A powerful surge of psionic energy began to build up at the center of the tall building nearest to the two of them. An eerie flash of purple came from both his distorted left eye and the center of the tower. Once the flash went away, a subtle series of sounds, much like crunching and crashing, were held in the matter of seconds... and all that was left of the terrible and skeleton of a building was a pile of dust.
"That good enough? Satisfied?" The Diabolic Esper shut his distorted eye once the damage had been done, and briefly looked down on the girl. Maybe if he were to make some connections with someone... his time here would be more deceiving. Have someone cover for him perhaps... and then betray that supposed ally to stem more despair and conflict. Beautiful. That sounded wonderfully beautiful...
Desolated cityscape? Check. Presumably young girl alone? Check. No one else around? Check. Check. Check.
With that checklist completely checked off, the Esper didn't see any reason not to pop up out of nowhere to this child. Not only did she seem to be a perfect target for his "experiments," Add couldn't help but feel interested on Ika's species. A crack of space-time energy appeared in front of her, Add's figure stepping out of the newly created time rift, which closed behind him. No way was he going to wipe that sly smirk off of his face, no way at all.
"What do we have here? Are you lost, little girl? You know it's not safe to wander around like this... you never know who can come up to take you away to a bad bad place~"
Out of all the people here, the masked bounty hunter didn't seem that surprised the appearance of this daunting palace. She's been through some mind-baffling events before, those events being either her strange survival from a bullet to the head... and her meeting with the Witch of Miracles in the Metaworld. How long was those events ago? She didn't even know. She couldn't remember. Her memory to the past was so fuzzy, she couldn't tell which were the realities from the fantasies.
"Rinato, just make an alliance with these individuals. It is for the best."
Right...
The small gemstone stuck on her left cheek glimmered as she took a deep breath and a step towards the group.
"Well, that sounds quite interesting to hear from someone," Add couldn't help but find that humorous in his head. If this boy thought that being alone was fine, the Esper wanted to see what kind of anguish he would feel from a centuries' worth of loneliness. Multiple timelines' worth? Add coped with the failures that he had on finding his specific timeline's past, but every time he was hit by a failure, he started to lose meaning, and here he was... seeking the destruction of time-space and all existences related to it. What a cruel cruel world...
The Esper was able to tell that something had caught Masaki's attention, and it sure took his own attention as well. Clearly that's going to be a problem, whoever was able to summon that palace in the first place. Clearly his ventures on eradicating the existence of time and space wasn't going to be as easy as he thought...
"What a surprise... looks like I do have to work on figuring out where this unknown timeline is located. Until later, toodles~!"
Add had opened up another rift and disappeared through it. Well, it wasn't like he could do much with his own rifts at the moment, considering that he could only travel between this world and his artificial pocket dimension.
Masaki would see that the Esper had left something there, a purple shard with eerie energy stemming from it. Why was it left there? Who knows?
Well, I'm not going to be posting much today either. i have to help out with this volunteer thing, and probs going to have a bad allergy reaction to the numerous plants there.
Poor Masaki... that poor poor soul. All alone and far off from your allies, it was a delight for a certain someone that managed to get a drop in to this unknown world in some unknown timeline. A statical shock of energy surged throughout the sky, and boy that didn't feel all too pleasant...
"Well well well... what do we have here? Didn't you learn that being by yourself is a big no-no? Kekekekeh..."
No matter where Masaki would look to find out the source of the speaker, there wasn't much that he could find, other than the fact that the voice echoed from all directions. Another surge of energy raced through the air, but this time, it appeared that some sort of rift of time-space was being torn into the fabric of this world's reality... Stepping, or more like floating out of the rift, a man with pure white hair like snow, radiant but eerie purple eyes, and donning a dark purple body armor suit (that looked way too tight for him) made his entrance. A jeering smile on his face stayed where it was...
"I mean, who knows if bad company decided to drop in on you and ruin whatever you find important? Not like I would ever do such a thing... riiiight?"
This man definitely wasn't bad company like he described... right?
The masked girl abruptly walked in to whatever conversation they were all having, not really caring if they pretty much had the same knowledge that she had regarding this topic. Then again, she knew a little bit of this location... or what the location used to be. This was the remains of New York City, once a prominent urban city in the United States of America. While she wasn't in the city that much to begin with, coming from a disclosed location, she had a feeling that this city wasn't the city that she had knowledge of. It had the same blueprints and all... but there was some factor that made it different, and clearly Lapis didn't like being left in the dark about whatever was going on here.
She stayed where she was, crossing her arms as she waited for her answer to come.
