@DJatomikaNo worries.
I tend to take combat pretty seriously, and respect the laws of physics to a certain degree. In my current character's case, destroying energy/matter is the only leniency to this rule, and I rationalize it fairly well, I'd say.

The only time I don't take it seriously is when it's not a centralizing aspect of the RP. xP

My exact sentiment. I used to explicitly combat rp and only combat rp for a few years. Now I hang around the Arena here to get my kicks.
@thewizardguyI mean, I actually dont get what makes him so insanely powerful. Your entire metric from which to gauge it is based solely on how fast his fist closed the distance with the angel-things shield. I have seen several characters with railguns here, and all freedom did was railgun its arm. Now lets consider distance. The shield is super close to me. Close enough to bash me so within a foot. I know you know how fast a typical railgun bullet travels. Hence why I used the term 'macro-second'. Not only to stop the first 'micro second attack', but also because it would take virtually a nanosecond for a rail gun to travel a single foot speaking strictly in terms of scientific validity.

But I'm all for fighting people his 'power level', too.
And in all honesty, I can already see this becoming an issue. It almost never fails. I'll just pull the character from the RP. This is as good a place as any seeing as the fight is over and done with. I'll just man Corban.
@thewizardguyBecause its called logical restraint. Just because I might have a deathcannon that can one shot the world doesn't mean I'm using it off the rip. Just because a policeman has a gun doesn't mean he needs to use it, and when he does use it he isn't obligated to unload the entire clip in your skull. You're allowed to feel however, but to imply it makes no sense to not constantly be running at maximum power running around one shotting everything is narrow-minded.
@thewizardguyI appreciate the tips, but I stated before and apparently will again, that the character is built to scale. I didn't start the speed escalation. Nor would I have had it not already begun. So in short, that kind of speed and power would never be used against other opponents who clearly can't perform at that level.
@SavatoI mean I guess you can intervene. I am personally tame. Slime makes a point to continuously bring it up. So in my defense, I'll say Kyrie didn't struggle as much as his character didn't struggle. They were both doing some ludicrous things, but the issue with slime arose because he for some reason feels I'm obligated to 'struggle' or take damage from him to spare his feelings. Like I said, kyrie scaled to the opponent. An opponent who complains of 'effortless feats' yet attacked me with a 'micro-second' speed attack, and then in a fraction of a second hit mach-10 in mid-air.
@texThats a fine observation and all, but I just tend to roll with the punches rather than hold the RP up with judging over issues that can be worked out or just ignored and continue it. The goal is to tell a story. So my primary concern wasn't proper etiquette, so I just took the mech to its logical extreme and kept the fight even.

That's real funny. From what I see from your posts, is: "Kyrie's super-awesome mech does ridiculously awesome and cool shit with virtually zero effort or tension thanks to its insanely potent tech and Kyrie's own godlike piloting skills.". Now I'm sure making him do all those things so easily isn't your intent, but it really makes it seem like everything pitted against the Freedom doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of beating it.

And that stuff about Sonic Move? I wasn't honestly planning on using that at so early a stage. But I had to escalate so that the Magnaangemon will have at least done some form of damage before getting put in his place. And even then, the Freedom beat him without taking any damage whatsoever.

Quite the contrary. Nothing I did insinuated that. All I did was state rank, which you yourself did before me. There's a difference between taking in story-based accounts and just tooting your own horn. In my story, Kyrie has gone through quite a lot, and has been in service his entire adolescent and adult life. He isn't a pushover, sorry. Boo hoo. I even conceded that the V particle couldn't outright beat your light magic, and kept it at an even keel.

You continuously scaled upward with the ludicrous speeds and reaction times, so I naturally did the same. The Freedom is built to scale, so don't think that I can't react accordingly when you're zipping around at friggin mach-10 on a dime.
I used to play lots of DnD. You can do a lot with very little if you use your brain. xD

My character corban is hard-d&d. You can do more than just a lot with it with some ingenuity.

@texIn my defense, I would never have done that had slime not started the speed-game with his micro-second shield bash. I was just properly scaling at that point.
