If you are a fan of Warhammer 40,000 or Age of Sigmar, let me know. Maybe we can put together an RP. I play Ironjawz & Kruleboyz in AOS and Salamanders & Drukhari in 40K.

Bio

I am a veteran of the United States Army and the US Army National Guard. I spent three years on Active Duty serving in the 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized) at Ft. Carson, CO, and the 3rd Armor Division at Kirch Göns, West Germany. I spent 18 years in the Army National Guard with the 26th Infantry Division "Yankee" and 29th Infantry Division (Light), "The Blue and the Gray". I was deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina with the 29th ID (L) in 2001 - 2002. I have also been reading military history articles and books since I was 10 years old. I do prefer Military Role Plays over all other genres, primarily because I have a vast knowledge of the subject including personal experiences. At the very least, my characters are always veterans.

I have been writing for pleasure for at least 35+ years but only got into forum-based Role Playing about eighteen years ago. I do enjoy Nation Role Plays and get into minute detail when designing my military. The only reason I enjoy excruciating detail in my militaries is because for me, it is fun. My education and experience on this subject afford me the insight to see the depth of the structure. It is not just a General and a large pile of soldiers. If someone wants assistance in designing an army, navy, or air force, please send me a PM. I will help. Please specify what level (echelon) or depth you would like me to go. When I say echelon, I mean Army, Corps, Division, Brigade/Regiment, Battalion/Squadron, Company/Troop/Battery, Platoon, and Squad/Section.

When I was a student in High School, I used to play Dungeons & Dragons. Recently, I have been DMing a 5e campaign of my creation for my son and his friends. 5e is so much less cumbersome than earlier editions of D&D. I do have an interest in Tolkien-esque fantasy-styled Role Plays as well. Time travel has always been a fun genre for me, but to do it well, one must have a firm grasp of historical facts.

There are only a few fanfictions I will participate in; Star Wars and Star Trek are two of them. I want to do an exclusively Klingon RP one of these days. I also avoid Canon characters.

I have real-world martial arts experience. I would love to write an RP about hand-to-hand combat, no fantasy magic chit, just hands elbows, knees, and feet. Maybe the occasional head butt thrown in to mix things up. I trained in Krav Maga for six and a half years. I earned a first-degree black belt in Krav Maga on 3 June 2017.

Krav Maga is an Israeli martial art form that employs practical self-defense techniques drawing forms & techniques from Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Taekwando. It is very brutal, demanding, and aggressive. During the seven years I trained, I have bruised two ribs, sustained several muscle pulls, and various lacerations and bruises over my body. I have received a sprained ankle and a fractured wrist. Before the first black belt test, I received a bone bruise to my right shin; where my roundhouse kicks impact. Yet, I am stupid enough to continue training. [Regardless of the physical pain, it is more fun than any other physical activity I have engaged in. Fortunately, the bone bruise healed up prior to the third and final test. EDIT: I did leave the sport over five years ago. :(]

Over two years ago I completed my first novel, a science fiction set in the 24th century. It focuses on a Private Military Corporation solely employed by the earth government. I started a second book in November 2022 and hope to work on that this summer when I have more time.

Send me a PM for a Role Play or if you would like to see what sort of an army I could build for you.

Well, like I've said a few times before, the American government system is the one I know best. I had planned to have "Politician CS's" when I started the OOC thread for people to fill out.
Since, most American presidents were either a Senator, Representative or State Governor before elected president, it would make more sense to create Politician Character Sheets prior to an election. Then you have a pool of Politicians who would then campaign for the office of president. He/She would then select a running mate, like in normal US Government election process. Once the election is complete, the President could then appoint his cabinet secretaries. Those folks not selected would remain in their political office. This way we are voting for the character, rather than the author.

The only time a politician was not elected, it was a General Officer who may or may not have served in a political office.
France's Semi-Presidential system also works with a Multi-party system of government. It would be just as simply to integrate that into the American form of government without having to create a Prime Minister.
I am interested. I think the first step you should take, is this. Have everyone create a politician. Don't post what position they want. The politician should choose a political party and state their positions on certain domestic and international issues. Then we as a group decide who should be President. The President should be able to decide who is VP and cabinet members are. Anyone not chosen is either a Senator or Representative in Congress. From a creative writing stand point, I would suggest that we do not limit this government to two parties. That is one of the principal flaws in the American Government. Yes, I have a degree in Political Science. Honestly, I do not want my character to be president, but if elected, I would do a decent job.
Updated character sheet to include the "Audition".
If you are still accepting applicants, I will offer my interest.
I would like to vie for the possibility of three different positions, you can use me where you need me. I'm flexible.

1. Gunnery Officer. I have served as a Heavy Mortar Platoon Leader in a Light Infantry Battalion and have some experience in this capacity. Again, I could adapt real world experience to this Steam/Mech/Fantasy battlefield. It looks like fun.

2. Scout. I am a former Infantryman, I understand the role of a Scout on any battlefield, including a 19th century steam/mech infused one. I would love to be able to employ a squad of NPC scouts to control, in the event the Pegasus deploys Scouts somewhere. Even if you perceive this role as a minor one that may or may not happen, I would enjoy the opportunity to reserve this is an additional character to employ should the need arise.

3. First Officer. I have served as an Executive Officer (2nd in command) of an Infantry Company and am a big fan of Star Wars: The Next Generation fan. I'm sure I could do a convincing Commander Will Ryker, but it would be my style of Number One.

You folks are moving at a pace that I will absolutely NEVER be able to keep up with; both the IC an the OOC content. My real life is too damn busy for all this, plus I am in three or four other normal paced RPs. Although, if anyone has questions about how to organize an army, feel free to shoot me a PM. Or anything about militaries in general.

I can report India's army stands at about 138,600 soldiers, 700 tanks and 2880 guns.

a much larger army than I have. Now, if the last of my three protectors would show up, I can advance.
Where is Lost Cause? He seems to know a great deal about the United Kingdom. He would be perfect for that job.

Alright then. Can I be in the Royal Engineers?

I sent you a PM regarding Combat Engineers and those Engineer Units assigned to the UK 1st Armour Division. I list the Regiments and the Brigades they support. For my own sanity I post the fact that they are Battalion strength. In my world, a Regiment is the size of three battalions. France and UK have smaller regiments than the US. Please pardon me.

21 Engineer Regiment (Battalion strength) supports 4 Mech Brigade
32 Engineer Regiment (Battalion Strength) supports 7 Armour Brigade
35 Engineer Regiment (Battalion Strength) supports 20 Armour Brigade
