Current My Italian friend just asked me if it's true that all Americans are fat. I'm offended but I can't stop laughing.

I always respond to OOC tags within 10 minutes, but I respond to PMs within 10 days. I don't know why- I suppose it's just because PMs are so easy to brush aside and forget about

I don't have any finals, but everyone else having finals is slowing down my RPs. Second-hand busyness.

I know it's time to go to bed, because I just started wondering if maybe the whole universe is a single cell on some alien's ass

If a tree falls in the woods and Fox news isn't around to see it, is it still Obama's fault?

A day or two at most passed. The one before ended saying that they weren't prepared for the winter, and winter came.

The next post should get through Vestec's night (to be fair, this post was originally supposed to get past that point as well...) and cover what they do with the dragon.

Eat it?

That dragon could feed your tribe for months!
I probably know more about the obscure Getmanic pagan gods than Greek or Roman. Did you know that four days of the week are named after Germanic gods?

I think I've heard it somewhere, ya, but I never bothered researching it.

Did you know that some people believe Jesus and Dionysus are based off of the same myths? Both turned water to wine, both were the children of the most powerful God (Zeus for one, actual God for the other).

Did you know that Dionysus ordered some of his followers to cross-dress? Why? WHO KNOWS? (I do. It was because he was two-sided and bipolar, like the two genders)

If you ever do get into the Greek Gods, go for Dionysus. He's the most unpredictable and interesting.

EDIT: Dionysus once willingly allowed himself to be captured by sailors (who thought he was a prince), only so he could turn them into dolphins later. He was like the Vestec of the Greeks

EDIT 2: Jesus and Dionysus were also both born from human mothers, so there's that. I don't believe it, but it's always interesting to hear what other theories people come up with.

Was?

I tend to use past tense when speaking about the Greek Gods, since they are no longer believed-in.

Is. She IS a virgin (as far as we know).
I mean how did Ares and Hephaestus come from the god of the sky and the goddess of the hearth? There are plenty of examples of gods that are nothing like their parents.

Also, because I'm a nitpicker about Greek and Roman anything, I must point out that Ares and Hephaestus are children of Zeus and HERA (the Goddess of Family and Marriage).

The Goddess of the Hearth is Hestia, not Hera. Ares and Hephaestus were never children of the Goddess of the Hearth.
Fun Fact: The Goddess of the Hearth was a virgin
@Connormon99w

You want my advice for choosing parents for a demigod? Just ignore their domains/portfolios and go for the ones that you think are cool/ would like to interact with the most.

I mean how did Ares and Hephaestus come from the god of the sky and the goddess of the hearth? There are plenty of examples of gods that are nothing like their parents.

I was going off of what the GM said about it, that the domain of the parents had to be taken into account.

EDIT: If his domain is really that obscure (that it can't be traced to any existing gods) then, yeah, he can probably just pick whatever
What if Vestec and his opposite somehow combined? Order + Chaos = Fish tacos

Vestec's opposite, Alexavier (God of Order), is no longer in the RP. He may return at a later date, but I don't think you want to wait the weeks or months that may take.
@Hael I'd be fine as a demigod, but somebody just needs to MAKE ONE.

Also, how do god-god battles work? What happens if one dies, does his killer get the portfolio? What if Vestec tries to kill everyone else, turning there domain into chaos?
( Maybe I shouldn't've mentioned that? )

What sort of Demigod are you going to be? As a demigod, your powers will be somewhat similar to that of your parents. A Demigod of Death would be descendant from Vestec (chaos) or Escre (life). A Demigod of the Air would be descendant of Undasis (who created the atmosphere).

It all depends on what you're going for, really :). After that, a god can make you.

Nah, I won't change it. There's ways to make long posts that don't end up with it being painful to read for peeps like me. If there's an important event in those posts, it'll be summarized in the Summary in the end of the post :p

I am now going to write a 100,000 character post, and leave off the Summary just to spite you. Then I'll make the post mega-important, so you must read.

I honestly don't read long posts xD Especially if they're written in huge ass paragraphs, as those are outright intimidating and confusing to me.

You should change that habit, perhaps, as the long ones often contain the most events. Plus nobody likes to think that what they (probably) worked hard on is being ignored.
Maybe god-god makes a god, but god-mortal makes demigod.

We've been debating that, and I'm in support of it.

You could start off as a really low-level God, and a child of two others.
As with Cyclone, many of us will be willing to parent your character, if it makes since for him/her to be a descendant of our character.

Of course, it might be more fun to start as a Demigod and work your way up. EARN THE POWER, MAN, EARN IT!
