Quick everyone, PM Mahz with your wishlist for Guild updates and new features. The more the better. In fact, send him a PM about it every day. Make that every hour. Chop chop!

To all the homies in Florida -- stay safe out there. Now is not the time to wrangle an alligator and surf it down the flooded streets. I know, it's hard to resist the urge.

Bio

On the old version of the Guild I was the record holder for 'Most Infraction Points Without Being Permabanned'.

My primary roleplaying genres are fantasy and science fiction. Big fan of The Elder Scrolls, The Lord of the Rings, Warhammer 40,000, Mass Effect, Fallout and others.

<Snipped quote> It definitely wasn't there when I personally registered. I've only ever made two introductory threads on forums during my entire life, both of which due to hard requirements. Neither of which was RPG.

RPG didn't have that measure during its entire lifetime. Either way, it's a band-aid fix, not necessarily a permanent solution. I'm sure @Mahz would rather work on other improvements before devising a sophisticated anti-adbot system.

<Snipped quote by Mahz> Erh... I don't like the idea of mandatory introductory posts. There are a few reasons why I never make them unless I absolutely have to, and generally tend to consider "Introduce Yourself" subforums spam. Did bots get better than humans at captchas and other anti-bot measures already?

We had the same measure in place before, on the OldGuild, and it worked fine. Nobody complained about it.

Also, it isn't really "my" idea per se. I just suggested re-implementing it.
Because we need someplace to brag when we say something funny in the chat, right?

Meep meep, sucka.
Alright then. Welcome.
Jurassic Park: Adding frog DNA to your science experiment is a bad idea.
And pardon any passive aggression here, but I prefer the term pagan to heathen. Has better connotations to it.

And there I was thinking I was already being considerate; I almost called it heresy.

How does an Australian guy end up as an adherent of an American approach to old, European heathen faiths?
