A priest and a rabbi walk into a bar. The bartender looks between the two and it finally sets in how his life is a joke.

I honestly don't care what people think of me as long as a mutual respect can be reached to the extent of having fun with RP. :3

Oh, of course. Old dogs still know their old tricks, that's why they're more valuable alive than dead.
That's why they get the comfy seats and beds in the king's court instead of a cot near the front lines. Not to say those jaws don't still have rows of nasty teeth in them as well as a grip of tricks and >10 different tactics on how to use them to make your life a living hell.
(Character philosophy)

Also *high-five for Pathfinder*
<3 the simplification of the multiclass system as well as making fighters viable in in later levels without the pressure to multiclass.
@knighthawk
I'm guessing the chief battle-master is more of a title than anything. A veteran whose proven himself to the point where he doesn't have to prove himself any more...or so his appointers think. I'd imagine it'd get into the whole "Back in my prime, when I was allowed to be on the field instead of telling others what to do on the field..." kinda thing.
Sad how age effects people.

But that's just my take.

(Subject to change?)
Edit: Picture fixed
@Dynamo Frokane Essentially. Its a bit more complicated than that, though.

Relevant to dnd standards, what would be the "level" limit to our characters' powers? (assuming you know dnd standards >_> (1-20(1 being any jobber who knows how to do what they do enough to affiliate with a 'class', 20 being kicking down deity's doors and demanding rent)))
Too many ships will clog the harbor.
Best get your papers in order before setting sail...
*Noisily straitens papers and tips glasses down to look over the rim with one eye*
In a modern-!
That...that changes everything! D;

I think?
I'm not confused, its just that new information keeps 180-ing every character I want to make...

Lol, I'm just going to wait until other people post their characters before even starting on one.
Ah.

I think I'm the one whose misread the conversation.
I now understand that we start with essentially nothing.
...
How do our characters "have" the gear we start with? Not get, have.

I'm just going to 'out with it'. I wanted to make a runaway duke of sorts who (I don't know enough about the plot or how to combat amnesia through pre-character building) came to the land with relatively standard gear for all practical purposes.

I just wanted to play Dad-guy. :T
The habit for caring for his people when he was driven from his land turning into fatherly instinct. (Solid physical, no magic)
How op is a greatsword forged with rippling alloys of unknown foreign metals with a silver etching in a floral design running up the flat of the blade?

Not magical, just expensive to make and hinting to regality of some sort.

Also: What is the policy on multiple characters, since the OOC has 20 openings...
Oh, well, okay >_<
