I honestly don't care what people think of me as long as a mutual respect can be reached to the extent of having fun with RP. :3

Well if it isn't the HR-department on wheels...

The cynically playful tone of the janitor that wasn't there sparked as I heard Achieng's setup wheel over to me as I approached the primary airlock bulkhead. "Zeh captain has gone AWOL..." I began, being reminded that a super-soldier of a doctor was chasing him down. Continuing, I draw my PDW and pull the slide back half an inch for dramatic effect as I muse, "...I intend on bringink him back to his respective station, or zee brig...vichever I deem him ready for" before looking her over and letting the weapon snap itself into place. Her setup was in no way capable of accompanying me, and with a small disappointed "Hrm~" and a brief frown I mash the switch to open the blast doors with my fist as I fold my ears back to fit in the hazmat hood.

--------------------------------

However, after the recent leaves, security had a different opinion. No sooner had the doors opened then about four guards stood with weapons bared and safeties off.
"I vould not suppose I could tempt any ouf you to accompany me..." Kaite sardonically mused, taking a step forward before one of them shouted, "Please back up, Sir Jericho...security officer Kate requested to seal all exits...I apologize"

Kaite tilted his head, pulling the hood off with disbelief at the betrayal. He'd given the woman one job...and the weight of authority from having similar names, and she repaid him with...
"You realize...if I fire you now...?" Kaite hissed, pointing to the airlock door as he also switched off the safety to his PDW, an action one of the security officials, names he'd hand-picked, stepped forward to slide a finger behind the trigger to prevent it from being pulled to pull the boy close and drive a knee into his gut, lifting him off his feet from the force. He wheezed, the wind knocked out of him as he crumpled, still clinging to the gun which was pried out of his hand's gate, throwing him to the ground in the same motion. "We got the memo..." One of the other guards sighed as the one who had just assaulted Kaite hesitated before ejecting the clip and pulling the slide before tossing the weapon down the hall. "Please understand...sir..." he hurriedly said as the door closed.

Kaite laid crumpled and shaking, holding his ribs with one hand as he tried to work himself to his feet and failing twice before giving up, laying on the floor.
"Vaht do you vahnt...?" he groaned, his voice calm but weak and hissed from behind his teeth as he laid facing away from Achieng. It didn't take a genius to feel the emotion of embarrassment and barely contained rage boiling underneath his words.
Blegh, I don't even remember writing that post...
She may have been around during his exchange with Katherine.
I guess I'm not sure. I didn't think that part through. :x
So I guess...

EDIT: Kaite, keeping to the spirit of the Infamous Alto, would try to think the way he would think Ryland would think, first...although he thinks himself wiser than the man that ran off. Between being physically unimposing and cautious of the captain who he is now aware of, hes taking a huge gamble with Katherine from navigations to hold things together for him long enough to personally find and arrest the captain for going AWOL.

This is what he intends, and I hope Achieng will at least attempt to stop him.
...since the cast is down to 4, someone has to stay on the ship...And Kaite likes fish... ;>_>

Btw, I'm back...now that I had the motivation to read a megapost.
It was more moving than you'd think...for personal reasons.

-I've deleted the post concerning AgentManatee. Their posting rate is...well...I ignored it in the attempt to continue the story.
Kaite flipped through a few images he'd taken of passing star clusters that were smeared by the slip-space transit. It was hard for him to imagine the tenacity of mankind and the thousands of years it took them to get to the point where they could escape just their solar system. He'd buckled up at his station through the landing procedures, although he didn't have much to do considering the lack of exterior threats and found it a good time to let his mind wander.

The captain left at a point, an action he acknowledged with a glance before unbuckling himself to resume patrols. In all, the dead planet was woefully uninteresting if the whole 'unknown alien' theory was still on the table since the idea of teraforming the planet and leaving for later inhabitance was always on the table...boy did he hope that was it.
Just imagining shooting down colony ships of the invading force made his fingers itch. He didn't even have to be the first to fire a shot, just as long as he could have a few dead families on his hands...

On the note of missing people, an interesting notification popped up on the HUD of his eyepatch of being the stand-in commanding officer. "Towan? You know why I'm asking..." He asked, receiving Sel's transmission through his earbud. He was about to respond before the static of the barrens overtook the signal, the signal having jumped out the cargo bay. He cursed himself as the AI read off the time and date that the captain had taken 'temporary leave' which left him essentially stapled to the ship as both the current active ranking officer as well as commander of the Infamous Alto's peronal guard.

Kaite rubbed his temples, pacing back to the bridge and striding up to the captain's chair. Running his fingers through his hair, he sat in the captain's chair, crossing one leg over the other and giving the swivel chair a few spins, lacing his fingers as he closed his eyes to think.
Taking a deep breath, he got up with a groan of a sigh, letting the chair spin itself to an eventual stop as he simply exited the bridge without a word, leaving a few of the observing members of the bridge in a state of confusion as they looked over action reports.

The doctor was more than enough for whatever the captain could get himself into. My duty was to the ship and the dead planet was just as inconsequentially distant as the floor separated from me by my boots. I hope he finds what he's looking for...
I proceeded to eat my words as I opened the door only to face Katherine who grabbed me by the armor to lift me out of sight.

"What the hell is going on?" She hissed, walking down the hall with a grip on my webbing, keeping my inches off the floor. "Nohzink, and you should be at your-huhnf!" I begin to explain before she forced me against a wall. "Don't give me that bureaucratic garbage! The captain pointed a gun at me, and now...and now you are the ranking officer?"
I had no love for the woman, my hands going to her wrists...I knew seven different takedowns from this stance; Three of them, the nice ones, would leave her with broken wrists...we needed her...another three would also include an array of messily broken facial bones and one would kill her almost instantly.

"Iz 'business as usual' and zeh captain has left zee ship. My duty iz to maintain sanity on zeh fucking ship!" I inelegantly hiss in a sarcastic tone just under a shout as I lace my fingers under hers that gripped me, bending her index and ring fingers to the point where she'd let go before releasing, letting myself drop to the floor with the tiny clicks of my boots. "Ask me a question, if you vill, miss Sinclair, but I am not some toy to be picked up and I vill break your hands next time!" I bark, taking a few steps away before pausing.

A gun pointed at her...by the captain? He may indulge in alcohol a bit harder than I would be able to, but he was a disciplined individual of integrity who had his own context and order taken from him by war incidents. We would be mercenaries if the strings weren't still attached to Ryland Senpai...

Here we go.
Oh? This is new.
Look at her, she doesn't know what to do, but she practically knows how to do it all.
...
Oh whoops, there's the coordinates to Ryland's position relayed to you by Sel...better do something.
Who are you?

Before I could rationalize my own thoughts, I had already opened up the relayed layout of the hangar and local facilities which had pinpointed both the captain and Sel upon request. They weren't far. In truth, it would be easy to catch up to them...at least fast enough to identify their corpses before the atmospheric toxicity ate them away to mush...hopefully they were smart enough to bring suits.

"Katherine...ehm...Kate" Kaite said, looking to the woman who glanced back, her eyes teary. "I am leavink to fix zeis mess and bring zeh captain back..." he simply said before pulling the resonator insignia from his eyepatch and tossing it to her. "...Zeh code is one-zero-five-seven...don't abuse it-" He said before pointing at her with a meaningfully apologetic nod before saying, "Kaite"
And with that, he left towards the docking airlock.

"Lost..." she quietly mused in response to his telling of his password, plugging the signature chip into her vox unit.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kaite was in the process of suiting himself up in a layer of skin-tight hazmat material to cover his suit, making doubly sure, keeping his arms outstretched as the suit mod adjusted to cling to his setup. It would only be a short walk from the armory to the airlock where he intended to recruit a few soldiers to join him in his hunt.
His determination would make him tricky to stop, though any were welcome to try.
It was a solid concept, imo.
I'm really confused too, especially since Achi's role isn't combat. Unless she was ordered to, she wouldn't leave the ship. *stuck and confused*
This.
Just one simple question for Sector: "Where is this going on?"
Its NOT an abandoned ship in orbit so, shit, I guess it could be anywhere else, then! If its on the surface of the planet, leave it to the actual supsersoldiers since it'll take us jerks at least a good 20 minutes to clear everything and fly down there, and I don't have the motivation to write a megapost that makes sense of all of the shit Kaite'd have to do to get from being picked up, to being stand-in captain, to gathering a team, to go down to the damn planet, to kick down the door just to wait another half a week for Sector to give me the meekest of hints about what the hell I'm supposed to do at that point.
Sorry for hostilities, frustration beat me and I have no motivation left.
Ah...I guess I'm finding my own way there.
...And I guess people just jumped from the ship to the planet? I'm still not sure if this is going down either on a time-warped version of the flagship the alto is attached to while it floats in orbit, or that people have the ability to just jump down to the planet.
Don't mind me while I spend the next 20 minutes ingame scrambling a squad to chase ya guys in a dropship with...and reread the last page for the fourth time to try to find where I went wrong, since that idea sounds like bullshit and I'd rather just quit.
That or I could just ungracefully have people just be there(Abandoning the entire previous scene and context)? Wherever 'there' is, relative to the ship.
I'm not mad at people, I'm just incredibly frustrated with what I think people think I think I'm supposed to do with the event.
Spoiler alert, I have no idea what I'm doing or where to start.
I am very sorry.
First off, hhheeeyyy.
It's more of a concept proposal, and I'm sorry for the poor format but, hey, hear me out.
To start by being honest, I haven't gotten the character to really work in any thread I've seen, so making things "smaller" seemed like the next step >_<;
Face value: the thread is a 'stranded' style of setting.
Its sci-fi meets fantasy with the character I play as being a soldier of the "Eledric Pact"
Ah, right, the plot. it can go a number of different ways. It could go through the dimensional route with hextech subspace nukes dragging my character's ship into another dimension and crashing on a planet that may or may not be civilized, but ideallyc has a form of civilization (like tribal or modern). In that setting, it'd be like a 'first contact' kind of thing with tribes of viking-esque warriors curiously fearing the advanced technology with warring tribes stealing chunks of the ship and trying to control the tech. (The whole opposing warfare concepts and stuff)
...or some kind of weird alien-manhunt in modern settings with the whole "Vision console activate....I SAID 'CONSOLE, ACTIVATE!'...*groan* where is the interface for the AI? *looks around for the tv remote*" thing with adapting to 'primitive tech'.
I guess another idea would be for the other player to be a human rebel getting caught in the same mess, being forced not to slit eachother's throats as we look for a way out of it.
Yeah, endgame would be ET trying to phone home, but how/if that goes about isn't even a consideration until the plot can be nailed down and interest holds. I have quite a bit planned, but may need a bit of collab help for the sake of direction and personal interest.
_________
- I intend on playing as "ET" and will play a Male character. (Since there had been confusion leading to the death of one instance of this thread, already.)
- As you can tell, I'm not the best at making thread's, and this would probably be a cooperatively constructed story as it goes, although once I have a whiff of a plot, I'm pretty good at working it.
-I'd greatly prefer at least 2-4 paragraph posts, but I can understand if you'd only need one, sometimes. (The tag says Casual, so a level of quality comparable to what you'd find in that section is expected)
-Its intended to have mature themes, so mature audiences. (Murder/gore, radical thought processes, maybe a little cannibalism, bits of abuse and the like)
-I'm in the central timezone, if that helps with anything...
-The whole "uke x seme" thing feels a little restrictive, but idk what to really do about it. My character will be small, but by no means are they 'submissive', being a trained and accomplished killer. Its explained in the bio I'll submit once there's an understanding on setting and stuff over pm-shipped interest. (There are, like, 3 different versions of the same character depending on the setting)
Input/questions? :x
Feel free to pm me, I love debating/explaining things firsthand.
I pm'd you an idea for the stranded thing.
