And back I am. Exhausted, certainly, and may need a while for that to wear off, but I'm once more here to read and even write!

Should have been writing posts. Took part in D&D shenaniganry instead. Got to fix that tomorrow.

There's a lot of backlog here on my end. I'm trying my best to lessen it, but replies might be less frequent for a time. A welcome change from the nothing doing I went through though! Thanks partners!

Bio

I suppose it is about time for me to copypaste fill in some information about myself over here just as well. Only took me a few years to getting around to do it.

I am a married individual in my twenties from the country some people dare claim does not exist. The Finland conspiracy is an old joke, you can stop with it now. Not a native speaker of the English language by any means, though I did begin studying it exceptionally early for our country's standards. I suppose it was some sort of a test case. With that out of the way though, what more should I be saying here...
  • I like being nice to people. If one needs to ask why, well that alone is reason enough.
  • I play and Dungeon Master Dungeons and Dragons, both offline and in the past also over here.
  • I enjoy OOC chatter, be it planning the RP or a more casual exchange (not that RP'ing is that serious). I can make do without, but don't be afraid to talk to me.
  • Whatever the case, I'm here to have fun and hone my writing abilities!
I do think that should about cover it, yes.

Thanks for stopping by I suppose! I do also have a Discord account, but I prefer to start anything RP related on the site. At least with people I don't know from the past, that is! But hey, now if you are a longer time contact of mine and happened to read this, now you know and can ask!

It's been a quiet few days for me, been slowly writing up a D&D conversion into the SI system. Need it for another homebrew project of mine and even if that never really gets attention I'll find some use for the conversion as someone from outside the United States.

Anyways, we are just waiting for @VKAllen.
@The Harbinger of Ferocity I have not yet had an example case from anywhere, so it is currently difficult for me to give a concrete answer. We can try different approaches in this game and see what works and what does not. We can start with the damage dice of the weapon lowered to 2d4 on such out of the ordinary maneuvres for starters, if it is okay with you. Pommel strikes might be better off as 1d6 though. As I said, we'll have to see.
Please excuse the short entry from me, I have been describing too many scenes today and must have gotten lazy. I should not let it happen, but things are as they are.

EDIT: Lazy is not the word I was looking for. Exhausted describes what I felt like so much better. Well, English is only my second language.

While Parum and Orchid stayed behind to make sure that the family would not be attacked while the rest were surveying a potential path before them, they couldn't miss the sound that could only be described as clatter-bonk from the direction of their brave front-line. A worried expression flashed across the faces of Linan and Cuth, but thus far no shouting came following the noise. Unsure whether they should proceed, they began taking some unsure steps with the halfling and a half-orc closely behind them.

As this was going on, our not-quite-as-silent-as-preferable scouts miraculously saw trouble before they had seen them. On the main street a kobold and a lightly armoured woman stood next to a barely burning house, seemingly awaiting for something. A few moments later, a half-orc in leather armour similar to the human's and another kobold came out of the house, the man carrying something in his right hand. They exchanged a few words neither Trear or Ashkar could quite hear, but were now seemingly on alert and on a slow approach towards the scouting pair's position, if aiming a bit too far left.

The fourth day is gone soon and we know what that means. I'll be advancing the story today once I've handled the in person game I've got scheduled.
Yah, no real notable loot on these guys. Several daggers, but their handles are too small to be effective on our heroes, as well as the slings of theirs being kobold sized.
As Cuth rose up rather unsteadily, a shade of a smile crept on the man's face. Now that he was standing up, the fact that he was hurt became clearer. His legs had a few gashes on them, but the worst had to be his left arm that was simply hanging limp on his side. "It is good to see that there are still people who seek to aid those in need instead of exploiting their situation", the man said as he waved for the children to follow his lead. "Come on, we need to get moving!"

As her husband was taking care of the children for now, Linan took the moment to instruct the party on how to get to the keep: "From here, the fastest way is undoubtedly crossing the first intersection and going right from the next. From that point on, you just cannot miss the keep. It's not far... But that raises the question on whether it is the safest one. One thing is for sure though, we'll need to get moving now!" Having said that, she crept a little closer to Ashkar who had promised to heal people if they were in need and whispered: "Cuth will never admit needing any help, but he is hurt. Perhaps..." but she was cut off by Cuth before he got any further.

"I'm fine! They are not going to get as good of a fighter outta me anyway, not with that broken spear being the only weapon. Save your strength warrior, we may yet need it in the future", and with that Cuth returned to helping the children stand up with his uninjured arm. Seemingly defeated, Linan rolled her eyes and pointed her spear at the keep.
Okay, Kobold and Forest it is!
