And back I am. Exhausted, certainly, and may need a while for that to wear off, but I'm once more here to read and even write!

There's a lot of backlog here on my end. I'm trying my best to lessen it, but replies might be less frequent for a time. A welcome change from the nothing doing I went through though! Thanks partners!

Bio

I suppose it is about time for me to copypaste fill in some information about myself over here just as well. Only took me a few years to getting around to do it.

I am a married individual in my twenties from the country some people dare claim does not exist. The Finland conspiracy is an old joke, you can stop with it now. Not a native speaker of the English language by any means, though I did begin studying it exceptionally early for our country's standards. I suppose it was some sort of a test case. With that out of the way though, what more should I be saying here...
  • I like being nice to people. If one needs to ask why, well that alone is reason enough.
  • I play and Dungeon Master Dungeons and Dragons, both offline and in the past also over here.
  • I enjoy OOC chatter, be it planning the RP or a more casual exchange (not that RP'ing is that serious). I can make do without, but don't be afraid to talk to me.
  • Whatever the case, I'm here to have fun and hone my writing abilities!
I do think that should about cover it, yes.

Thanks for stopping by I suppose! I do also have a Discord account, but I prefer to start anything RP related on the site. At least with people I don't know from the past, that is! But hey, now if you are a longer time contact of mine and happened to read this, now you know and can ask!

Escobert followed the actions of the adventurers for a moment before sighing to himself. They seemed not to care about the blatantly broken port whatsoever, so apparently it would fall upon him to take care of it. As per usual, he had to admit. The guards and other muscle that deal with threats like this didn't really want to ever bother with this kind of stuff... he just had hoped the adventurers would show some interest in this part of the strategy.

The castellan didn't simply keep all this to himself, but replied to Parum in a calm if a bit stern tone: "Alright, look. We 'ave a broken port in our hands, sumfin' the enemies likely know the location of by now. We can think about the prisoner and what comes after later. And your green friend might want to reconsider spending their time doing... that while situation is what it is. Do any of you 'appen to know, for example, some magic that could fix this neatly and quickly?" He didn't want to delay the repairs for a second, who knew if the enemy was planning a full assault as they spoke?

Their prisoner remained unconscious for now, but anyone close enough to observe their breathing could notice it was getting slower and losing it's natural pace. Didn't sound good or normal. Perhaps some first aid should be administered? If they wanted to get the man all the way to a cell without risking it, at the very least.
@Lucius Cypher
I must be being my usual blind self again. I'll get on it.

Aaaand there we go. I truly need to consider picking up the Observant feat, don't I?
@Phoenix
Would you like to get a post in or shall I go ahead and write mine?
@The Harbinger of Ferocity
They are alive at the end of your action.
@The Harbinger of Ferocity
Indeed, he was merely knocked out. However, the attack was not declared nonlethal so there is certain chance he dies as per the usual death save rules. If you want to make changes to your actions now that I've elaborated, feel free to.
@The Harbinger of Ferocity
Oh, you are taking a captive? Let me roll his death saves...

Details will follow in my next in-game post. Now would be too early for one though, I'll be waiting for more entries.
The few times I've actually got to play myself, I loved critting on sneak attacks. So many dice! Given how builds always wanted their damage to be flat boosts instead of being based on dice (more consistent output, what's not to like?), this new thing just might shake things up a little, although I doubt it.

In any case, the combat situation is resolved! Now it seems to be mostly up to you to figure how to NOT leave a gap wide enough for enemy soldiers in the defences.
The bard's mental assault struck true. While more of a threat than a real insult, the creature still felt the weight of the magical words and suffered their ill effect. It didn't have the time to bother the creature to it's full effect though, as all of the problems it had or might have had were solved with a swift greatsword strike, leaving very little doubt about the creature's state of death. A momentary silence filled the room, broken at last once a guardsman poked Parum in the shoulder and asked "Is it clear?"

Spare from the corpses of the fallen, there were no signs of enemies as things were now, even with the broken down port on the outer wall. The people of Greenest had to consider themselves fortunate: Had the knowledge of such a breach been common knowledge among the enemies, they would be rushing in no-stop. As soon as an all-clear message was given, the castellan walked into the lantern and magic lit room and examined the port from a distance. "Well, it sure is beat up, but ain't nuffin' that couldnae' be fixed. Any ideas on how to proceed here? Do ye happen to 'ave any tricks up your sleeves for this?" he inquired from the squad.

A solid hit to the head knocked out the human, the noise of them tumbling down caused the Drake to quickly spin around to see if the sound was something it needed to bother itself with. This opening was utilised by the monk to punch the creature directly onto the snout. The drake shook it's head and returned to battle ready position before anyone else had the time to strike at it. Now alone and cornered, the beast had no option but to go all out if it gained the chance.
@Phoenix
No, wait, my mistake, he goes down on the first. I'll just move the latter strike to the last remaining opponent. Glanced through the notes just a bit too fast
