And back I am. Exhausted, certainly, and may need a while for that to wear off, but I'm once more here to read and even write!

Should have been writing posts. Took part in D&D shenaniganry instead. Got to fix that tomorrow.

There's a lot of backlog here on my end. I'm trying my best to lessen it, but replies might be less frequent for a time. A welcome change from the nothing doing I went through though! Thanks partners!

Bio

I suppose it is about time for me to copypaste fill in some information about myself over here just as well. Only took me a few years to getting around to do it.

I am a married individual in my twenties from the country some people dare claim does not exist. The Finland conspiracy is an old joke, you can stop with it now. Not a native speaker of the English language by any means, though I did begin studying it exceptionally early for our country's standards. I suppose it was some sort of a test case. With that out of the way though, what more should I be saying here...
  • I like being nice to people. If one needs to ask why, well that alone is reason enough.
  • I play and Dungeon Master Dungeons and Dragons, both offline and in the past also over here.
  • I enjoy OOC chatter, be it planning the RP or a more casual exchange (not that RP'ing is that serious). I can make do without, but don't be afraid to talk to me.
  • Whatever the case, I'm here to have fun and hone my writing abilities!
I do think that should about cover it, yes.

Thanks for stopping by I suppose! I do also have a Discord account, but I prefer to start anything RP related on the site. At least with people I don't know from the past, that is! But hey, now if you are a longer time contact of mine and happened to read this, now you know and can ask!

Good hit, not dead @Norschtalen. Sorry to hear about your accident. Speedy recovery!

You are up, @Ryonara.
I dunno. We are all the plot writers here. She is a person that would have a chance to know. You are more or less free to add details to the big plot we are after here! As long as it makes sense in context, that is. If it doesn't, I'm sure a brief discussion and a few edits will solve any trouble that could have risen from it!
I don't see why not. Who would have an ear close to the ground if not the gangs who attempt to keep their hold on said ground? They might not be the easiest to convince to talk to outsiders, but they might be willing to trade. After all, if we take the hook of Ribby calling her about, he may have suggested an intel trade. The knowledge of the amphibians for what she known of Lt. Davison.
@Norschtalen, you are there, yes?
@13org

Yep, she would not be kicked out. The gang is happy to take jobs from outsiders to keep themselves in the money, so someone unaffiliated coming in wouldn't be odd at all. I might even suggest Ribby may have called for her, knowing that she keeps herself in the know of things?

But just so we are clear, the bar they stay at is not actually the Colonel's Corner, it's just a place whose sign they can see in the above city and named themselves after it. The acquisition of this place which I seem to have forgotten to name dammit, came later. Let's call it Chemspill or something like that.
Say, would you like to be the arrival to the amphibian's place or shall I just go with the NPC backup plan @13org?
Welcome, new soul!

I would recommend you have a look at the new user's guide, see if anything is remarkably different from the sites you may be used to. I've been finding this place nice enough myself, so here's hoping you will run into people of similar sort as I have!
Oh no, I have been namedropped. I'm not used to this sort of fame. Think Hekazu, think! How will you make it past this gracefully…

You were not just listening to me mumble to myself, were you?

Oh great.

Anyhow, it sure is out there. I wish I could promise to have an active part, but that's not exactly within my capability. I might write up a few records though, you never know!
The situation was grim. A sword came flying from the side, and that wasn't even the worst of it. While the Dragonclaw managed to grab the blade rather than allow it to plunge into his throat, it made a nasty slice on his fingers before it stopped. That would not help his fighting any, but at least he now had a weapon. Yet, it did not take much strategic aptitude at all to realise in just how deep shit he was now in. All of his allies had been slain, their horses running wildly away from the thing that one of the heretics had become, and now the non-believers were making an attempt to surround him. He had only one direction to take from here, and that direction would be away as fast as one could go.

He encouraged his horse to move, still clutching on to the machete that he had just managed to stop from ending his life on the spot, but in his hurry he had neglected a single detail: While he himself was ready to avoid any strikes, the way he rushed his horse meant that it was much less so. There had been but a scarce few hoofbeats before a large blade had cut the escape short. The animal began barrelling down towards the earth, and the cultist had no option but to jump. As the blade descended upon the horse anew, splattering gore around and ending the animal's misery, the dragonclaw ran. With all the might the Queen of Dragons had, he did not possess enough of it. A punishment would follow for this failure, but from that one would rise again. From death, not as much.

The moonsworn paladin attacks the mount in an effort to cripple or kill it and its rider's odds at escape, swinging the greatsword for a deathly 22 to hit, with a 10 for slashing damage. Because Brannor is specialized in Great Weapon Fighting for his Fighting Style, the 1 is rerolled to a 5, causing the total damage done to become 14. Assuming it hits, it should put quite a damper on the attempt, @Hekazu.

That would indeed do it. A falling horse, followed by… let's see here… burning of the Dragonclaw's reaction and he will use his own movement instead. Since the horse dies, Torus needs not provide their roll. I shall get on to writing the post about this.
