And back I am. Exhausted, certainly, and may need a while for that to wear off, but I'm once more here to read and even write!

Should have been writing posts. Took part in D&D shenaniganry instead. Got to fix that tomorrow.

There's a lot of backlog here on my end. I'm trying my best to lessen it, but replies might be less frequent for a time. A welcome change from the nothing doing I went through though! Thanks partners!

Bio

I suppose it is about time for me to copypaste fill in some information about myself over here just as well. Only took me a few years to getting around to do it.

I am a married individual in my twenties from the country some people dare claim does not exist. The Finland conspiracy is an old joke, you can stop with it now. Not a native speaker of the English language by any means, though I did begin studying it exceptionally early for our country's standards. I suppose it was some sort of a test case. With that out of the way though, what more should I be saying here...
  • I like being nice to people. If one needs to ask why, well that alone is reason enough.
  • I play and Dungeon Master Dungeons and Dragons, both offline and in the past also over here.
  • I enjoy OOC chatter, be it planning the RP or a more casual exchange (not that RP'ing is that serious). I can make do without, but don't be afraid to talk to me.
  • Whatever the case, I'm here to have fun and hone my writing abilities!
I do think that should about cover it, yes.

Thanks for stopping by I suppose! I do also have a Discord account, but I prefer to start anything RP related on the site. At least with people I don't know from the past, that is! But hey, now if you are a longer time contact of mine and happened to read this, now you know and can ask!

You do indeed land the first hit @The Harbinger of Ferocity. It stings Cyanwrath, but he remains standing with fortitude that refuses to waver quite yet.

We move on to Torus @Zverda.
@Lucius Cypher - The rooms only have so much space to move in before the dimension give in. Assuming she tried to make the maximum distance while maintaining good LoS on Cyanwrath, that would have been partially closer to the axemen. And both of them were already in the room just as well, one specifically avoiding the melee to make it towards the backline. So yes, I am rather sure I got the dimensions right. Thank you for your concern.
Cyanwrath's posture hardly changed, but his behaviour certainly showed odd signs just after the halfling had performed her magical act. The half-dragon begun to glance towards his sides, and his nostrils drew closer to being shut. A low rumble emanated from his throat and his scaly fingers dug deeper into the handle of his weapon, the pressure starting to show even on the covering scales like it would have shown in the skin covered digits of a human, yet so much more mutely. His soldiers didn't need to consider twice what was going on, and the scar eyed man pointed his weapon in the direction of the bard. "Target the halfling!" he shouted out, earning a grunt of approval from their boss, stuck in the illusory threat without the ability to see beyond the cloud.

The axe wielding soldiers sprang into action, each changing their trajectories to pick up a new target from the group of adventurers. Even the one locked in melee combat against the half-orc would rush past his opposition, but the bleeding man didn't look all that certain of the action. Yet there was something in his eyes that drove him forward. Fear. Not of death, but a sideways glance to Cyanwrath spoke more than a thousand words. As did the swinging weapon of the half-orc, and after him the turning blade of the bestial paladin. His path was cut short, the hefty steel blade pushing him down to the ground, though even then it wasn't quite sufficient to cut through the man's armour enough to outright kill him. Oh he bled, especially from the shoulder that had just been struck, and the amount was not trivial either. But his chest still moved, and he closed his eyes on his own.

The druid in the guise of the tiger managed to strip a piece of armour away from the warrior that darted away from him, a snap of leather sending the broken strips lashing out at the animal's face. Not enough to cause direct harm, but certainly delivering an unpleasant lash just a hair too close to the eyes for one's liking. But with the Paladin having neglected the chance to impede the decorated axe and the apparent underling making it away from the tiger's maw, two axes came rushing down towards Parum. Both of the warriors put their full attention into the strike. Neither was fooling around. The intent was not only to maim. It was to kill, to ensure that the spell would end and that they would have one less target to worry about in the fight. The twin strikes landing on a woman barely the size of the blades spoke for themselves. One down. A couple more to go. Even if it cost one of their own.

Do you want me to post or do you want to just incorporate it in your post? I'm fine with either choice

I'll include it in mine. Anyway, you both hit. Neither kills, though the one that was against Orchid is now obviously doing not too good.
Would it be possible to use a Shove action as me AoP?

RAW no, that won't do. We can make shoving and grappling as an OA a thing, but that may not exactly end up being to your liking down the line. Taking a bit of damage is one thing, but getting your entire move cancelled by a mook successfully grabbing you makes both bookkeeping and planning turns ahead for post fluidity somewhat precarious. I'd default to no on this one, if mostly for the convenience over our chosen medium.

Plus give Brannor advantage if he goes after the guy I know down.

You do realise that the opponent could just rise up on his feet instead of crawling past Brannor, yes?
Yah, Cyanwrath may be fooled to believing there is a cloud, but that's the effect of your spell. You don't get to make the cloud sing songs/play violin for you, not to the levels of the Deafened condition anyway @Ryonara.

Now then, Orchid (@Lucius Cypher) gets an opportunity to deal one Opportunity Attack. Same goes for Torus (@Zverda). Lastly, Brannor (@The Harbinger of Ferocity) gets two chances, one for the one with Orchid (if said target remains standing after the first opportunity attack) and then the scar eyed and decorated weapon wielding man. All three are obviously aiming for either Kyra or Parum.
Cyanwrath fails his save with a roll of 10 @Ryonara. I can't promise that you could use both effects of the Blindness/Deafness spell with this one though. Feel free to explain the image you are creating in more detail so that I can assess what you are actually trying to achieve. You'll have time, since I won't have the chance to provide an IC reply until Monday rolls around, as my weekend is booked full.
You land your attack @Lucius Cypher. It draws further blood, nicking the armour at the outer edge of the axe wielder's shoulder, but it does not strike him down quite yet. Sturdy lot, these guys. Effect of the guiding bolt recedes.

Parum is up next @Ryonara.
Your Guiding Bolt hits @Norschtalen. It's a rather nasty blow at that, burning a gap into the man's armour and leaving a glowing patch of skin behind, from whence it spreads to the rest of the man's body for the spell effect. Yet that spot will remain battered, and even softly haemorrhaging as time goes by.

Next up is @Lucius Cypher with Orchid.
Not looking promising for the next round, is it? My tolerance for the delays dragging on is growing thin, I won't hide it from you good people. You do deserve to know, since it isn't a game without you taking part just as well. If either side cracks, the DM or the players, well then a game of D&D isn't really working well is it?

I hope we can keep this rolling. It would be a shame to put the closing notice after all the hardships we have already endured as a group. But there's only so much I'm able to take on the whole "no communication, sparse posting" front.
