You magnificent bastard.

You still planning on doing the Manhattan Projects?

I still say Agent 47 would have a wonderful place here. Anyhoo, I'm working on a sheet.

Does he have any comics? I'm not finding any.

Loving everyone's concepts so far. My Leo CS is done, now I'm deciding on my second/third. I have 3 concepts I can't choose between so far.

No problem. If/when I ever get my laptop back, I'd be interested in joining. Unfortunately, that's looking further away with each passing day.

Hope it clears up for you soon.

Henry I have a question, would Angela be allowed as part of my character roster as she was originally part of Image comics but now has been transferred to Marvel.

Yea, go for it. As long as the character started out as an Indy, you're good to go.

Feeling inspired so expect a sheet or two in a few days (or tonight if I'm on a roll and got other responsibilities finished).

Sounds great.

Just a little note, the rules might need a revision. Some refer to Hype or One Universe instead of RPG and Independent Universe.

That's what I get for being lazy and copy and pasting.

Thanks!
OOC is up:

I'm working on CSs now.

Also, if anyone has a cool header for the RPG, or if anyone can make one, let me know.
Earth’s History

Since the birth of time the Earth was a battle ground between good and evil; between heroes and villains. The earliest of these heroes was Conan the Barbarian, who wandered the ancient plains battling his enemies and becoming the most powerful warrior of old. Evil also crept into the world during this time as well. Monsters and demons crossed from their plane of existence to ours. In order to combat them, men of the ancient times bound the powers of a demon to a young girl, creating the first Slayer, and a lineage that would continue as long as evil existed.

As time went on, others emerged, such as Solomon Kane, who made it his mission to eradicate dark forces on the planet. It was around this time that the first League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was formed by the British Crown in order to protect the world and the British Isles. The team would form and disband many times as time progressed, with many eccentric and powerful characters serving on it. The fabled ninja clan The Foot became a powerful force in Japan in this era.

The Earth’s move towards today’s super powered present at a greater speed during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. During this time, the longest tenured League of Extraordinary Gentlemen fought off the first supervillain in Doctor Fu Manchu, as well as others. But the biggest change came when the Earth experienced its first alien invasion, as large tripods landed in the English countryside. They were eventually stopped by the League, as well as a biological weapon. The weapon also killed the majority of the witnesses to the invasion, allowing the government to mount a full-scale cover up. This betrayal led to the League disbanding.

This progress continued as World War II erupted. Hitler and his occult fanaticism drove the mad dictator to search the world, and other worlds, for anything that would let his rule last forever. Thanks to the efforts of Henry “Indiana” Jones, Hitler was denied the Ark of the Covenant as well as the Holy Grail. But that is not all Jones denied the Fuhrer. On a remote island off the coast of Britain, Jones accompanied Professor Trevor Bruttenholm and a contingent of soldiers to stop a Nazi plan to release a demon upon the Earth. Hitler’s occult priest Rasputin managed to open a portal to another plane, but was stopped by the Allied forces. Rasputin was sucked into the portal, but something managed to make its way over to their side as well. The small, infant demon was discovered by the Professor and named “Hellboy” by the troops. After the discovery of Hellboy, Bruttenholm and Jones formed the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense, dedicated to protecting the world from “the things that go bump in the night”.

After the war, the world began changing dramatically. Superpowered humans appeared in the decades that followed. The government did not know where they came from. Some speculated that they were experiments gone wrong, and others believed they were the next stage in human evolution. Most of these people hid their abilities in fear of what normal people may do to them. Others joined government initiatives to understand the phenomenon.

The super powered age exploded in the 80s, however, with the debut of the “superhero”. Costumed characters such as Omni-Man began patrolling the earth and fighting crime and super villainy. The trend continued for a decade and a half until the world governments decided it needed to be regulated. They created the Global Defense Agency, and publicly claimed it was to reign in the superhuman population, but in reality it was designed to work with the superheroes. Each hero was given a government contact they had to report findings and movements to said agents. Around the same time, the team known as GI Joe was formed to combat terrorism. They clashed with the terrorists Cobra Command, and MI6 battled with the group known as SPECTRE.

The world spun on until our story started…

Events so far…

-The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles emerge from the sewers and begin exploring the surface world. They fight the New York mob from the shadows, leading the mob to hire two big game hunters to kill them. This leads to them being flushed out of their sewer home and into an ambush, which they barely survive. The family also deals with a rival mutant, an alley cat named Old Hob, and his street gang. The Foot begin appearing in the city in the latter part of the year. The first skirmishes end in Turtle victories, until the Shredder appears, turning the tide. The Foot now look to exert their power over the other criminal groups in the city in order to take it over. During the year the Turtles befriend college students April O’Neil and Casey Jones, as well as the vigilante street gang known as the Purple Dragons.

-Hellboy and the BPRD tangle with a resurrected Rasputin and his cult followers. The insane sorcerer plans to use Hellboy’s right hand to unleash the Ogdru Jahad, the seven dragons of the apocalypse, to destroy the world and remake it in his vision. The plan nearly succeeds, but the spell over the red demon is broken, allowing Hellboy to lock the gate once again, and kill Rasputin once and for all.

-The superhero calling himself Invincible debuts and fights the fallen hero Omni-Man.

-James Bond foils several plots by SPECTRE to destabilize the world’s governments.

-GI Joe stops Cobra from obtaining a bio weapon capable of destroying vast amounts of human life.

-The Autobots and Decepticons continue their war across the stars, still searching for a place to call their own.

-The Doctor patrols the Universe fighting for good.

-All characters can interact with each other, it is the same universe.

-No Killing. Unnamed, faceless NPC's may be killed, but not major characters, or taken characters. Someone else may want to take up the character, or they may be important to another story.

-You are your character, so act like it. Talk like them, use their dialogue. Do not exaggerate your powers, or pop-up here and there without explanation. BE Your character.

-Several stories can be going at once, and you have the freedom to interact with other characters. If a PC doesn't wish to participate in a major event storyline, they don't have to.

-You must post at least once every two weeks, though it is preferred that you post more. If you go two weeks without a post, your character is up for grabs. You will receive no warnings as it is your responsibility to keep track of your character.

-Be serious, no slander, or impractical actions from your character. Example; "I found a crystal and now I own the world! You're all my slaves!"

-If a major character is applied for, there will be a 24 hour period for other applicants. If there are multiple applications, the other players will decide who gets the character by casting their votes. Less popular characters can be given out on a first come, first server basis.

"Sir, you may want to see this," the butler says, approaching the old man in the chair.

The man sighs, softly closing the book he is reading before placing it on the table. He stands, showing his wiry, frail-looking frame. The light from above reflects harshly off his completely bald head. With a slight hunch, his skinny neck protrudes from tiny shoulders. Perched on top of it is an ugly, boney face adorned with a beak for a nose. His body is more or less rail thin. Dressed in all black, with a turtleneck covering his scrawny neck, the man looks like his namesake.

"What is it now?" Adriane Toomes bellows at his servant.

"You wanted me to inform you the next time one of those...things were on the television."

Toomes's eyebrow rise and he follows the butler into a room with a huge TV screen covering a wall. On it, a gigantic man in what seemed to be a rhino costume was laying waste to downtown Manhattan. The rhino flips a cop car with ease, before tossing a piece of concrete through another. This is exactly what Adrian has been looking fore.

"Prepare the suit. That brute will keep Spider-man busy."

**********

"It just wouldn't be a fun Friday night without a rhino monster attacking the City," I say as I swing towards the downtown rampage. Another week, another costumed, superpowered crazy person is threatening my town, and I'm gonna stop him. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Sometimes this job can be so repetitive.

I land on a building down the street, surveying the damage. The rhino must have ran straight down this street towards Times Square. Cars are upturned and the beast's foot marks are deep. Whoever or whatever this thing is, it's strong. Possibly stronger than anything I've ever come up against before. This is probably going to hurt. I hate that.

Oh well, the life of a superhero, right?

As I approach the square, a car flies through air towards me. My spider sense explodes, and I manage to evade by a hair, twisting back as the side grazes across my costume. Landing in the street, prone and ready for another attack, I call out to to the new guy on the block, "Hey, big boy! You a rhino, or is your nose just happy to see me?"

"Come on, bug," he says, looking over his shoulder, "dontcha recognize me?"

As the Rhino rumbles towards me, all I can mutter is, "Sytsevich?"

**********

Adrian Toomes soars through the air over New York city. The wings on his arms and the booster pack on his back work like a charm, allowing him to fly through the air with ease. The flight suit, his greatest invention, has always worked. None of the morons in the business fields ever thought so. This day he'd show them, however.

And he is going to do it by taking what is dear to them.
Gonna work on some of this stuff tonight and tomorrow. Might get the OOC up this weekend.
