Current 2 liter bottles of Mt Dew were like breakfast/bus ride to school drinks back in my day. They would be gone before the bell rang, and then there were the cans from the school vending machines...

I have the sad, today is day 30 for some of my favorite RP's. They go into archived until life is breathed back into them. Some only have days left on the clock. :(

There has been a linguistic shift to far less formal speech over the years here recognizing regional and cultural diversity as well as the acceptance that overly formal manners can be classist

I am super excited! I actually love Bartending and the money is good. And if I am working slow nights it probably wont interfere much with my other stuff
I am supposed to know Monday so fingers crossed!
@SinfulSkills That is awesome! My family and I work like that too. Doesn't matter how the kids get here, they are kids and loved as such. Hell my Bio Grandma delivered all of my half sisters as an OBGYN Nurse and called them her grandkids till she died even though there was no blood relation to them.
BWAHAHAHAHAHA "Once your hands have been up my skirt You get to call me by my given name" HAHAHAHA Of course, she is just being nice...
“I do not believe you.” His words echoed in her mind. Oh he should believe her, she was terrified. Lucia faked confidence well, but it was an act, a charade. Something you did to get through one day after the next. She could probably fake this too, but that didn't make her wish that having a dozen cats, several streaming services, and delivery pizza was a valid career choice. She drew a deep breath and nodded her head slowly. She wasn't going to argue as much as she wanted to. There would be other times, other issues. In truth he had certain things that seemed to matter to him a great deal, and to her very little. What was the harm in going with it?

Lu did her best to ignore the whispering and awwing coming from the sales clerks. Her eyes flicked across the mirror and caught a glimpse of at least two of them watching. She fought the urge to roll her eyes at them, and jerked her attention back to Serge as he clasped the bracelet around her wrist. She held her hair out of the way for him as he lifted it to place the necklace around her neck before letting it fall. She met his gaze in the mirror, his smile matched by her own as he asked if she needed anything else.

"I should be asking you that question. I am lucky if I make it out the door in shoes that match each other." She said as she turned to face him a brief expression of mischief crossing her face almost to fast for him to catch it, but he was quick, he probably saw it. "Although now that you mention it, there is one itty bitty teeny tiny thing." She said.

She closed the gap between them so she could speak very quietly. "Lu, Lucia, Gwen, Guinevere. Anything but Ms. Baker. I'm pretty sure once your hands have been under my skirt, You've earned the right to call me by my given name." She teased about her reasoning, but she was serious. Ms. Baker was her mother. She didn't feel like Ms. Baker, She wasn't Ms. Wilmer either, right now, she was just Lu.
Kids can be fun, but I have to admit I love my kid free time too. Not everyone needs kids full time in their life. If you are happy without the pitter patter of little feet I say leave it be. If you decide long term you want more kids in your life, there is always big brother big sister groups, or babysitting for a friend. Nothing like having kids that AREN'T yours around for a while to make you check the refill date on Birth Control HAHAHAHAHA
LOL My 14 yr old is built like a football player and eats like a sumo wrestler. Then again my 52 yr old uncle still eats cereal out of a mixing bowl, so I am pretty sure I am doomed to an empty cupboard forever.

You are most welcome! I adore my computer friends. :)
LOL My Middle sister ate more than most boys I knew. My parents HATED it! She was the first to sit down, and the last to leave. Her first words to my newborn son in the hospital (born 9/26) was "Just WAIT for Thanksgiving little dude" LOL

WHEW! What a relief! All my friends live on the internet, so I start running checks when I hear about nasty weather.
@SinfulSkills Check in when you can so I know you are safe from The nasty weather. Just saw the weather report for your area in the country, looks BAD!!! Stay safe
