We just need a few judge judges and one judge judge judge. It's simple really.
Ah. .. I misunderstood what IN said. My appologies.

No problem. I just have to take my unending fury out on your character the next time we fight.

Me and Skally actually mentioned you judging in PMs.

You, Melon, and IN.

Blades was brought up but Skally wants to see a full fight from him.

My judging style is more lenient and "rule of cool" so I'm not sure how good I'd be if I let things slide too much. However, I suppose I could try. There should be an option to have additional judges if someone thinks the main judge messed up.

I think its a cool twist regardless.

Yes, never thought about that. Well, do I sometimes have crazy scenarios behind the battles like a baseball game to the death, but this sort of thing is slightly different.
We need judges for a non-ranked battle where they are our characters, not the people controlling them. For example, I could have a bloodthirsty idiot guy as one of the judges and have him judge the fight accordingly, making hilariously bad choices on who should win based on his bias. Actually, that would be an interesting fight mechanic to freshen things up. You can see in what way the judges are biased so have your characters change their fighting style accordingly.

I know. I've been generally impressed with how the community has handled itself in this venue. Even though I haven't done any combat (for the sake of combat) in years, I still get stressed thinking about it.

I'm doing a cooperative battle right now where everyone fights a huge team of my characters so it's not really stressful. Everyone can have fun teaming up and know I won't have all my character destroy everyone and take the fun out of it.
I'm also probably going to largely avoid combat myself mostly because it has lost a lot of its allure to me (in terms of competitive combat).

Would you like noncompetitive combat better?
About not being able to use certain wagered item, you could still accept the wager just like if they wagered a burrito. Even if you can't use it then it still might be very useful in your possession so that they can't use it. However, the other person should make it clear when wagered that this is the case. No saying, "Oh yeah, you can't use this" after you already lose it in a wager.
That leads to another provision. What is lost or gained to a wager only effects ranked battles.
I think to wager such a thing it should make sense for that thing to be able to do so, not force it to do so just so it can be wagered. Items that respond only to their owner could be justified, likely because if it's original owner changes ownership then whatever magic is at work could recognize that.
300 bonus points for defeating so many opponents in a row isn't that much. If it was just points for each battle then, as already stated, you might as well not participate in tournaments to get a bunch more battles done quicker to end up with more points. I could see second and third bonus points decreasing a bit more like 150 and 50.
I know all you guys want quick points so I expect to be beat up and bullied for my lunch money. . .*sob*

Knowing Evvie's track record, when we fight we'll both get beaten up. Nobody has managed to steal her lunch money yet though.

Are we agreed on

100 - win
25 - loss
50 draw

And what's the ruling on sanctioned tournaments? I'm a fan of wagered points fROM everyone, and doled out to the top three.

I would also like to add a provision for wagered items. Winner should get the ability to actually use the item, perhaps not all abilities associated with the original user but enough so they aren't trying to wield a virtually useless weapon to them.

Yes for points. For tournaments, I'd say first gets 300, second gets 200, third gets 100. This is all bonus points. You still get points for your battles like normal.

It would be odd if they suddenly become a sword master if they win a sword, but they could certainly use it like a normal person and get better in training montages behind the scenes.
