Is a battleground where, if you step on or otherwise ruin the manicured grass, an old man who owns the yard yells at you and shoots lasers out of his eyes, be too silly to include in the battleground thread?

Also, more battle types could be based on different fighting games such as street fighter and mortal combat. So for the street fighter one, everyone can inexplicibly jump high into the air and spin around like a tornado or other unrealistic moves while the mortal combat one would be doing fatalities and stuff.
Super tired from work the past few days but now I have two days off starting tomorrow and am more energized. I'll get my post done during this time wither everyone's posted or not. I think they might have...
I heard from a Youtube reference that you can actually upload your own character figure models. I'm not sure how difficult that can get just yet though so I wont ask of too much.

Anyways, I will be looking forward to the character sheets and all of the "To come" information you have regarding this! But to get an idea of what's to come, what kinda of races, classes, and monsters did you have in mind thus far? =]

If you're able to create your own model it would be easy to import into the game. Creating the model sounds very difficult though. I just use the piece that comes with the game where there's a blank wall sticking up that you can paste a picture onto.

I'll get back to you guys on the races and stuff. I'm wondering about one of my ideas where there were titans and dragons as the first life forms and they fought so long and hard that they formed the world how it is today. I'm wondering if I'm subconsciously stealing this idea or not. Sound familiar to anyone?
I thought dice rolls would be for battles specifically for dice rolls and would be mandatory there.

I'll come up with battlefields while at work then get to posting them on here sometime. I'll include some serious ones as well as the crazy ones.
Would still need to find a way to make full dodges possible.

Based on how you dodge it can lower or raise your character's normal dodge rating which include being far away or point blank. You can make the number whatever you feel is right, but if your opponent doesn't like it they can tell you in the OOC and the matter can be figured out by them or a judge to say the final numbers for the accuracy of the attacker and the dodge of the defender for that attack.
Why only subtract 30, if you dodge?

Perhaps a attack-defend roll, with dodging to power damage?

Perhaps;

attack for 100%, defend 75% of that and then the dodge roll be to whether or not you avoid it entirely, depending on the mechanics. But I've never been a dice man, when it comes to actually making a system

Even if they have 100% base accuracy, with the enemy having 30% dodge that reduces you to only a 70% chance of any hit at all. Which I guess is still not bad but for things liking shooting fireballs and stuff you wouldn't start with 100% anyways.

I prefer a roll to hit and then do damage based on the attack power of the attack.

Each others characters

Not that the other also can't be a thing.

For the dice rolling mechanic we could use this and use the bottom option for a 100 sided dice. Each of our attacks will have a base percentage of doing damage, from 0% to 100%, and based on the circumstances you can up or lower the percentage for the attack. Each character would have a dodge number to start with (a nimble person having 30, for example, meaning they subtract 30% from the enemy's attack) and then how they dodge could also change things. Not being able to move would eliminate all dodge.
Skally reminds me. A potential tournament could include 'switching' characters.

Like switching their minds into each other's bodies or us using each other's characters?

P.S. Nobody can set a trap for Evvie.
I got a new job so disrupted by schedule for a bit but I should have time to work on this some more. Maybe Tabletop Simulator can be just a supplement if people don't have it, but of course if everyone has it then we can all just use it.

The best bet for this is to make drawings of all the enemies so we don't have to use the figures that come with it, which are indeed cool but I have some made up monsters and races that they obviously wouldn't have. If you guys want to speed things up then you can make your own monster drawings and even come up with the entire monster yourselves.

I'll see if I can come up with the character sheets today or tomorrow. That will be on here and not tabletop simulator because it will be much easier that way. Basically, all the typing stuff will be here and the other is for visualization of the maps we move around on, which would stink to try and spell it out on here but still possible if someone doesn't have the game.

I'll try to come up with the different playable races today as well, but don't know how many I could end up with/how detailed they'll be before I get too tired.

If I, as the BattleGrounds 'groundsman' were given the authority I could make all sorts of cool death trap style arenas for special themed matches. Suspended platforms over an Acid pit? Frozen indoor arena with rabid polar bears? Fighting on top of a Colossus Eagle?

Dynamo is your man.

You're like me in wanting to create crazy arenas. My most tame one thought up so far is on a beach with extreme tides going in and out to sweep you off your feet and possibly trap you somewhere and drown you if you're not careful. Join me, and together we can create the most epic battleground!
