Something tells me our sparing may turn deathly serious...
So, as an idea - with the last tournament of the calender year being considered the biggest I'm thinking of a few ideas to promote even more fights.

1) First tournament will be considered a Rookie tournament. I've watched Hajime no Ippo and that's where the idea comes from. Winner gets 200 points, flat. Or, 50 points per win. That's something to be discussed. For tournaments I'm not a huge fan of giving points for every tournament win. Winner is also automatically given a spot in the year end tournament. Limited to people with 1000 points or less. Or! Last 8 people in terms points. If possible, I'll see if we can get special titles like 'Rookie King/Queen of the Arena'

2) Second/Third tournament: Can be simple or 'themed'. Specific genre, style, etc.

3) Final Tournament: Will be the big tournament 500 points victory spoils(plus ability to jack dead/disabled opponent of ONE item to use through tournament and afterwards). Limited to top 7 fighters(8th will be decided based on the Jan. Tournament). Winner will be crowned 'King of the Arena' for a year. To take off from @ImportantNobody's idea, this will count as a season/year end of us.

4) We may end up holding some type of award(votes based off nominations and arena participants); maybe IC. Potential season premiere and introduction of lifetime points). I'll see if we can get King/Queen of the Arena special titles

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Will also be going through and messaging people who haven't been active, giving them a week to respond before moving them down the ranks to move active people up, or completely off

Some good ideas. The rookie tournament would have to go off of last year's lowest 8 because few people would have a lot of points at the start of the year anyways. The lowest 8 people who have participate in a battle, that is, or else we'd have a ton of people tied for lowest 8.

I'm fine with 4 way sparring. Maybe my guy also has trouble focusing on multiple opponents so this will double help his practice. Well, if I do go with this other guy I have planned but he's not quite ready yet. I originally was planning on using Natalie Lockheart to explain some improving sword skills and such to help take away her main weakness. I guess I'll end up going with whoever I feel like at the time. A normal girl going against a spartan might be troublesome for her but at least it wouldn't be to the death.
The elven male fought bravely, the orc's weapons clashing off his shield while he got some good counterattacks of his own against them, but unfortunately this distracted him from the arrow coming in from a direction that he didn't expect. The female shouted at him to look out a moment too late, as he glanced with unfocused eyes at the iced over arrow in his side before tumbling weakly off the cliff edge, his armor and shield making loud clattering noises as he fell to his presumed death. The female snarled angrily at the loss of her comrade and friend, finishing off her spell with much more energy and gusto then before, unleashing a huge blast of fire at the two orcs in front of her, intent on burning them down to charcoal in revenge for their role in his demise.

Velice's swift reactions were too much to allow her to be tricked so easily as she blocked the shoulder slash, although her muscles strained against his power more then she'd like to let on. He was indeed a strong orc after all. She took another step back to dodge the kick. How could an elven princess like herself be caught seen giving ground? Loosing on her of bodyguards to him was already a big enough shame as it was. She'd have to stop fooling around with him and take him and the rest of his fowl brethren out.

He tattoos glowed as she extended her free hand towards the ground, calling forth a vine to spring out and try to wrap around her opponent's ankle, forcing his foot out from under him so that he'd fall heavily to the ground and become an easy target.

I feel like that's an invite to fight.

Ah, so she's literally a spartan. Does her invisibility have to wait a bit after wearing off to allow for an attack again? If not she can appear and attack in the same second and devastate most non/low powered foes (which appears to be her target audience).
I think they are afraid of the Spartan Woman.

What one? I know no fear.
Velice sensed the attack coming and swiftly glided backwards out of range of both the swing and the arrow, almost making it seem like she was on ice skates. She gave her opponent an arrogant grin as her feet touched noiselessly back down onto the earth.

"Surely you didn't expect to take my head with that paltry attack? Any other moves you'd like to show me?" She taunted, unbecoming of her beauty to act in such a manner.

Her two companions wearily faced their opponents, their battle not going quite as well as the princess's, but they were managing to hold their own for the time being and hoped for a single good strike or two to turn the fight in their favor. Fighting at close range against orcs was not a favorable position, so despite the elves being more powerful overall, this battle was proving to be a very difficult one. They were talented with magic but not nearly on the level of the quick casting abilities of the princess, and the orc's relentless attacks stopped them from having the time to form the complex spells that they needed to win. They needed to make their move...

"Gildia, behind me! I'll hold them off, just concentrate on the spell!" The male elf said in their language. The female nodded and stepped behind him and his shield, chanting.
Of course we'd let Evvie live for. . .one meeeellllion dollars. . .muhahahaha.

Evvie: "Um...I have...this rock!" *Holds it out dramatically and then gets sniper'd in the head.
If by live you mean feed her to sharks with lasers on their heads, then yes.

That's after she gets hit by lightning she falls into the shark pit. She's like, "I'm okay!...oh God!!!"
<Snipped quote by ImportantNobody>

How about no. Unless she's an active participant in the 4 way.

I'll kill you myself. ;) and take 50 points for your trespassin'

Evvie randomly flies in delivering a dramatic battle cry when out of nowhere Rill pops up and says, "lol no" and smites her down with a lightning bolt.
