@ImportantNobody Drums in jazz are a thing. They're used sparingly but they're there.
Jazz drumming is one of the hardest genres to learn, so I've heard. I tried jazz guitar. Not easy. Can't bear to think of drumming.
She has good lungs but it seems like sax would be harder to learn, but judging by what you said, perhaps not. Still, in line with her personality, she'd want to be drums. Doesn't matter if she sucks at it, she'd still have some fun. I don't know who I have who would fit as the sax player.

For some reason I have the urge to draw my characters in a jazz band in a noir setting. Evvie is on drums despite there not usually drums in jazz.
I can draw some of your guys's once I finally get around to drawng all the characters of mine that may see the light of day. By then I'll be drawing better so you guys wouldn't throw up from seeing me butcher your characters.

There's a mech sword fighting duel in the anime adaption (Gankutsuo or something like that) but I didn't know how canon that would be either. XD
There could have been a duel at some point that I forgot, I just remember the one scene at the end with the wall trap, unless that was just the end of one guy and not the grand finale. I read it back in middle school so it's fuzzy.
