What might help Memalade is if you simply enter a thread with someone and have them teach you the basics. That way you could develop a character based off of that if you so chose. But more importantly, as Skally said, you learn how to properly fight someone.

I can see how a lot of arena etiquette can be a barrier to most though. Angel's predicament though appears that he mostly knows what he's doing in Spanish and he just wants to know how the English speaking boards operate.

I can draw some of your guys's once I finally get around to drawng all the characters of mine that may see the light of day. By then I'll be drawing better so you guys wouldn't throw up from seeing me butcher your characters.

Well, trying to make a char based on 'Grim Reaper is an Eldritch Abomination/Great Elder One.'
Got some base for the powers, but exact appearance eludes me.

A skeletal tentacle beast with infinitely dark holes in the skull's eyes?

For some reason I have the urge to draw my characters in a jazz band in a noir setting. Evvie is on drums despite there not usually drums in jazz.

@ImportantNobody Drums in jazz are a thing. They're used sparingly but they're there.

Jazz drumming is one of the hardest genres to learn, so I've heard. I tried jazz guitar. Not easy. Can't bear to think of drumming.
