I'mma cut your...THREAD OF FATEEEEE!!!

Her threads of fate stop her from loosing in the first place so fate wouldn't allow you to cut it. I'm the author and even I can't kill her and she'll come alive and conquer the world despite being good.

She can also "thread the needle" for perfect accuracy, but that seems less OP then her other abilities despite being OP.

EDIT: It's actually redundant because if she's fated to hit then she'd hit anyways. Thread of fate covers almost any weakness unless the plot demands she loose.
I'm curious as to why this worries you. This issue mirrors the issue with standard interrupt rules where someone can easily exploit the interruption rule to do it every post. Its a matter of sportsmanship under either rule set, because both to me are equally exploitable.

I'm more worried because for interception they have to logically be able to explain the intercept, while excessive prepping is more open to interpretation on if you're going too far for your opponent's/the judges liking. More of your detailed rules could better paint the picture, though.

Whatever the case, me avoiding it for ranked battles would solve the worries unless people take non-ranked too seriously and stretch interpretations in their favor, but then I could just leave if it happens too often.
how much work do you guys put into these posts? Do you spend like two hours on them or something and just can't find the time?

I can easily take 40 minutes, sometimes more, depending on the post. If it's a just for funsies I could do it in 10 minutes or so. I've been meaning to do more detailed posts, actually, but haven't gotten around to it.

Thank you. The reality is I, and probably In, expected Khan to abandon this. I had hoped we take one of you out prior to that event. Regardless, I expect after you finish Khan to take me unawares. Unless events change I shall fall next.

I didn't expect it at the start of the match but I knew you were 1 down without me.

My guy has his primary weapon in the wagon and cannot pull it out without opening himself to arrows in the face, so he's not in very good shape either for three on one if you die. :p
I'm assuming that's me you're talking to. Though I'm not fully understanding your question. Care to try and rephrase?

Now that I am home I can look through your posts to potentially clarify myself, but in case not my question was along the lines of,

"If I can't be interrupted, could my character spot an awesome location for cover across an open field, so in my post I say they dart across the field and reach that location, ducking behind cover."

Your character could attack me or move around themselves, of course, but it seems like they couldn't actually do anything to stop me from reaching the awesome location. Of course I'd have to be a jerk to exploit this and other situations along this concept in every post, but this is what I worry for doing ranked battles with this system.

This system you have reminds me of checkmating in chess from my understanding, where you have to be able to kill them if they stay still or move. I'll explain more once I get a better understanding by reading through the argument.

EDIT #1: Interrupts could get kind of zany with interrupts for interrupts, even, although I haven't personally come across anything further than single interrupts on their own and they have made sense. Guess it depends on personal experience what people see as or has become a problem. Personally I wouldn't mind 100 interrupts in a long chain as long as it made sense and was reasonably executed. There comes to a point where reaction time wouldn't allow it to go any further, though.

EDIT #2: Read everything, and it looks like my concern still stands. Only one attack is allowed, which is good for this system, but I'm not sure about running around to your hearts content. I'm guessing a prep would count as the one attack or else you could obviously charge up a massive beam and then fire it and they couldn't stop you. Some of the problems would, therefore, be solved by way of character powers not being unfair to take advantage of the system, which is a problem for any system.

EDIT: 3: Like checkmate because if I start an action you cannot interrupt me until it's done, so I'd only be killed if I was already going to be killed even doing said action. You cannot suddenly pull out a gun and kill me while I'm doing something so I'd be safe for sure as long as mechanisms for my death are not already in motion.
I honestly don't have enough time at the moment to read entirely, just popping in until I get back, but couldn't you just have your character uninteriptedly get to a prime location to cover so they can't shoot you until you get there and complete the action you described?
For no interrupt, it would be funny if someone says they throw 1,000 punches and you stand there watching him exhaust himself and then stab him at the end just as he finishes. XD

No interrupt seems most doable with only one attack allowed per post. Even so I wouldn't likely do ranked battles this way but may do one or two just for quick matches where it doesn't matter as much.

So, she has the power to control yarn, in Kirby's Epic Yarn and she also got transformed to Yarn silhouette when she got there. :v

I have a yarn controlling cat girl but she's not nearly as powerful even with drinking milk powerups.

It's not impossible for me to have two yarn controlling characters due to having hundreds of characters. I could actually have her power be "thread" and she can take liberties with that concept, including cutting her opponent into threads. It goes slightly against the concept of an ability that sounds weak in theory if you think about all the possibilities of thread, but then again some stupid bandits might still underestimate it. That or they assume her power is only cotton or yarn. She can be called the Cotton Knight because she normally only needs cotton to defeat her opponents, even Satan ripoff.

P.S. She can probably control string theory as well so could maybe kill a god.
I'm thinking of having a character in a setting where she's the most ridiculous OP in it. However, her power will be something people consider weak or silly such as cotton manipulation. Her power is machine washable as well. XD

Maybe she nonchalantly strangles the Satan stand in to death with a string of cotton and absorbs all fire damage with a cotton barrier. She'd probably have to be able to generate additional cotton to be super OP though.
And here our team would have only been made up of only skally if I didn't show up. XD
Well I suppose we tap Khan a few times, if no post by Tuesday I guess we can discuss allowing the finishing move then move on with Vordy. I figured this would happen.
