I think, If we were to do that, whoever is controlling the humans would have to do it from a particular soldiers or generals perspective or perspectives. If we both did in a disconnected third party perspective, I think it would be a little boring to read. I would enjoy being some weird monster.(Should we make a new thread to continue this on?)

also DANG
CORPSE SHIELD

dang

That would admittedly block their standard issue weaponry for a couple shots as they don't completely blow through someone in most cases besides those with upgraded versions or close range. It would be weird for a monster to strategize like that though. If he has sentience to plan then he'd be called a race in my setting but some beings do blur the line.

I could have more "lead character" red shirts, like around three of them who are better fighters and more important while the others true to their namesake. They are ship crewmembers so don't follow a general and there's only 30 or so total. Humans are a common race but only for an individual race. In the massive pool of races they don't make up that large of a percentage like in star wars

We can start a thread for all planned battles and have a [planned] tag in the title so they know.

Yeah i'd be up for that if you wanna do that
it'd be my first one

Maybe where I control a redshirt army from a scifi setting I'm working on versus some alien menace so I can try fleshing out different npc's and their abilities? We can say my ship exited some weird dimensional portal so that if your alien monster follows different scifi convention rules then that's fine. He doesn't have to be a monster either. That or maybe I can do a team of my normal heroes versus some big bad. Could be fun because in a real match it would be hard to balance such a fight but if it's planned it could work better.

I'm also open to a standard one on one fantasy fight. Could also be Jedi and padawan versus Sith.
@Stekkmen You should challenge IN to a one vs one.

A planned battle, perhaps.
come aaaaaaaaaannnnn

Well, it's still within a couple days time. I would expect it today at the earliest or maybe tomorrow if he procrastinates.
so many buff characters

I don't really like playing buff characters unless they are fun stereotype versions.
I thought khan was first at first and Vordak was somewhere near the middle, but the exact order shifted mysteriously at some point. I was originally last but somehow went up one.
You can say that Karvos came upon the exchange as the last blows were being traded, but I want to give you the heads up that I won't write it that way. I'm the last one in the rotation for the round, and each round has been more or less simultaneous so far, so I'm reasonably gonna have time to kill Kahn's character and reposition.

Looks like the turns are all out of whack now. We should implement some turn counter for the first post of the turn of its that important.
I forgot to mention, but to keep his shield and eyes also on the archer, Karvos will be attacking his back from an angle where it's more head on facing the carriage. The vagueness of my post could be read as just him swinging at the back of the head while rushing in from the side. This will cost Karvos a little more manuevering time, possibly a step or two.

Her being on the left ruined a straightforward attack coming from the side because his shield is on his left, so he'd be exposed to the archer. That makes this move more troublesome.
With him having to keep his shield up nonstop to defend himself from arrows, this battle lasting longer would only benefit the opposition. He did do strength training, of course, but nobody could keep a shield of that size raised for extended periods without feeling the burn. Karvos eyed the location where his female ally was currently locked in a one-on-one struggle with her twisted foe. With the orc being handled quite effectively without his help, perhaps it would be best to change targets and defeat the last of the melee attackers as soon as possible so that the enemy archer would stand alone and stranded on top of the carriage. Climbing up to greet her now, or other methods of reaching her, would be most unwise to attempt while the ground around them wasn't secure unless they had faith in the woman to hold him off. Frankly, he didn't have much faith in anyone besides himself.

With his mind quickly made up, he shuffled sturdily to the side so that he was coming upon the one eyed lady's last known position just as the latest exchange of blows was being made. He took a larger step now to try and reach them in time to save her, as she seemed to be on the loosing end of things. As he stepped forward he swung the hammer towards the back of his skull, hoping to crack it while he was still busy grappling with her.
It's been so long I forgot who I was after. I'll get a post going tomorrow after work.
