Things you should keep in mind about my RP...

1) If you need me to post, PM me. My memory is awful.
2) No matter how much I may love the source material, I will not join an RP if the Interest Check, IC, or OOC has too many posts. I am not reading all of that. If you want me to join, PM me a summary.
3) I won't even read source material in the Interest Check or OOC sections if the IP is, like, super convoluted, long, or snobbishly formatted. Keep that shit IC. Give me clear and concise posts or I'm gone. I dont have all day to sort through your five different fonts and your 17 paragraphs of setup.

lol D'ren is 16 years old, oldest RP character i have next to Abdiel, his alternate reality double who is literally the opposite of him in every way.

if the Authoress' ability to read minds is because you say she can (kinda like my Ambassadors), then its a moot point. you can read his mind. because Samyazaii is the third most powerful evil angel in existence, and the sixth or seventh most powerful being ever (in my story), so her power to negate the use of other powers on D'ren is completely dependent on being more powerful than the other individual. since you are real and she is not (theoretically...), you are automatically more powerful than she is.

that is if the Authoress is anything like the WorldWeaver...the WorldWeaver is just me, their literal author. hence why the WorldWeaver could never actually be a character. at best, an incarnation of the WW would be an Author's Avatar or Ambassador.

hope all that makes sense.

if the telepathy is magic/supernatural-based, yes. if its psionic, like someone evolved it or a scientist messed with someone's brain and gave them a genetic mutation that allows them to use telepathy, then they can send thoughts to D'ren but cannot read his mind.
The Infamous nodded to his two girls and they walked away from him, to opposite sides of the restaurant, as if on guard. Meanwhile, the evil warlord himself walked into the bar, ignored the giant dragon-amoeba, and headed straight for Levi. He exchanged smirks with Abigail, the new author's ambassador, as he placed his hand on Levi's shoulder.

"Mr. Half-a-Jeans-Company!" chuckled the Irishman as he vigorously but good-humorously shook the fictional author, as if glad to see him. "It's been awhile, mate!"

Levi lowered his head in despair. "Not real, not real, not real..."

"D'ren," Abi said to him, offering him his plate of burritos.

"Oh, thanks, love," said The Infamous, whose first name was D'ren, and took the proffered plate.

The Infamous sat down on the other side of Levi and started eating. With his mouth full of bean and cheese and sour cream (for whomsoever does not put sour cream on their burritos are not truly human), D'ren turned to Levi and playfully smacked his arm.

"Oi!" he said, "Did you save the multiverse after I died or what?"

Levi gave him an incredulous look. "You remember that? What...?"

Abi answered for him, "Yeah, the WorldWeaver let him remember everything that ever happened to him before his current age, 28."

"Oh," stated Levi. "So he doesn't know that he turns good soon and helps save people with his nemesis, a hero."

"A hero!?" D'ren spat, throwing his fork down on the bar. "I would never!"

Levi smirked and took a bite of his own burrito. "Yeah, you'll see...mate."

Abigail snickered darkly. "The WorldWeaver is a meta master, is he not?"

Levi ignored her. He continued eating. Realizing she was being ignored, Abi scowled and turned to take a bite of her own burrito.

As if to explain, Abi told John, "The WorldWeaver has eaten bean and cheese burritos almost every day for the last ten or so years. So naturally, we love burritos too."
@Night_ Starnot everyone in the universe is like that lol.

ive been called a terrorist and im not Muslim or Jewish. im a white dude from North Carolina. XD but i dont really worry about how those people view me. now, its when close friends or family start that really gets to me. thankfully, i have (mostly) understanding family members and i dont socialize with anyone many people, so i dont have to worry about it too much.

i will admit though it's a lot scarier online because everyone magically grows a pair of balls and says shit they would never say in real life. but i just block those people (btw, is there a way to block people on this site? ive already come across a couple...)
btw have you seen the article about the real nessy's death? apparently no one has seen it in over 8 months.

also i dont think nessy holds the same interest with everyone in the world as it does in the UK and europe. i think "the monster people want to see the most and find out the most" is geography-based.

Dear @Kiwiwiwi, @ActRaiserTheReturned, @SilverRain, @Lady Selune, @Andreyich, @Kalleth
"I am The Infamous Warlord D'ren Connor McMasters of the Hell Planes of Malevora! You can call me your evil overlord! About a year ago, I invaded and conquered your pathetic excuse for a planet, making every nation's government subject to me! However, unlike most rookie evil overlords, I did not make my base of operations the chief capital city of the most wealthy and powerful nation. Nor did I put it in a ravine beneath which is the perfect vantage point for your marksmen. Neither did I put it atop a mountain for all to see and revel at. You do not know where it bloody is, only that I broadcast to all the nations this modulated voice message, so that you do not know what I look like, nor what I really sound like! So HA!"

An evil overlord has been in control of your nation, and realm, for a year. He has also blockaded dimensional travel, so that nobody may enter or leave the realm without his expressed permission. However, don't think that you can rally your fellow citizens against him. To most, he is considered benevolent due to the fact he always rains money and candy down on orphanages and hospitals. You, and only you, and maybe one or two others, realize his true menace, and now you must construct a plan to remove him from his shiny throne, the location of which you are unsure.

Protagonists, such as heroes, sidekicks, talking donkeys, and resentful nobles who once controlled an entire industry but were ousted from their position by one of the overlord's lieutenants, will begin as any character of any race with any name, job, background, appearance, ethnicity, and superpowers all on the same small island-nation of Gi. It's about a third of the size of Rhode Island. So before you do anything, you might want to go looking for other protagonists on that island.

Antagonists, such as the overlord's trusted lieutenant, distrusted lieutenant(s), advisers, concubines, and grunts in the Legions of Terror, will be somewhere else. Once I make my initial post, you will know. ;)

To keep a minuscule amount of fairness here, if the same number of people who showed interest join, I will make one hero a co-GM and one villain a co-GM. If they agree that something I did as the evil overlord is too OP even for him, or if enough protagonists (or villains for that matter) come to one or both of them with an issue that they feel I am being too lenient toward the villains and too hard on the heroes, IC, we will take a vote and I will change my ways accordingly. :) However, see the rules below for more details on that.

Go ahead and post a character sheet below for approval.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Rules (eh, more like guidelines) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

1) Click the laugh button if you think a post is funny. Consider this your laugh track. But also keep in mind that everyone has different styles of humor. I personally am decent at essay/narrative humor and witty dialogue, but not too good at slapstick. Just because you dont think something is funny, that doesn't mean someone else doesn't too. And just because you arent getting props for your humor, doesnt mean someone isnt reading it, liking it, and just not making it obvious. As the Evil Overlord, I will not be laughing at ANYONE! XD

2) Any and all races from any genre are allowed. You may take a canon character and change the name and costume sightly, to introduce a black and yellow-clad DiePool, but don't just bring in DeadPool. Although this is designed to be a free, multiversal and meta RP, I simply want to see true creativity in not just the jokes, but also the characters.

3) Be meta. 4th-wall breaks (talking to the readers) is encouraged, but don't do it every five seconds.

4) Screw with tropes. If there's something not in the list that you wanna make fun of, do it. But keep in mind that if you make fun of something that another player deems very important (certain political or religious beliefs, or even playful ethnic slurs), they have the right to retaliate IC IC IC IC IC IC IC IC IC.... (not OOC).

5) Time period: while this will be mainly set in a high fantasy/medieval setting, feel free to include laser guns and space ships and shit. But be smart about it. I want us to be able to explain stuff like that away, not make it the central focus of the RP. Just keep that in mind when you're looking in a cave for a superweapon and find an alien mothership with infinite power. It's probably a trap.

6) I saw a few villains, but before I make the first IC post, I want to see at least one character capable of being a hero...or, you know...a hero's sidekick. Someone to oppose the evil overlord. Also, for now (to keep you protagonist-players in the same vicinity), you are all starting in the same country on the same continent.

7) We will, for now, be focused on the first 100 points in the list.

(The following rule may seem both confusing and unnecessary, but this is just insurance against my egomania. If nobody has any problems, we wont have to worry about it.)

8) Hero or villain. Not both. Not neutral.

9) Co-GMs and voting: it's human nature to not want to look bad in front of people, and I'm no different. If someone accuses me of something in the OOC board, I will probably look at them like theyre crazy. So, to keep me out of it until absolutely necessary, do the following:

A) PM one of the Co-GMs (if you're a hero and you PM the villain Co-GM, dont be surprised if they disagree with you) and ask that GM to talk to the other GM.
B) Once the player does that, they just wait.
C) The two Co-GMs will discuss it (dont take forever), and decide if the player's concerns are warranted.
D) If both Co-GMs agree with the player, they are to both PM ME and let me know I was being unrealistic in my IC post.
E) If the villain Co-GM doesn't see it, the Co-GM who was PMed will PM the player back, as well as the other players who are in the same alignment (heroes/villains), and take a vote. The results have to be close to 3/4, and at least one villain agreeing with the accuser, if it is to go any further, because if all the villains vote for my decision being fair, and all the heroes vote against it, and we have more heroes than villains, of course the majority will win.

This keeps me and the hero co-GM from taking over the literal RP universe.

[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[THE WORLD, in case you care]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]

World: flat-earth called Pababa; has three large continents/nations, one small one, and many islands

Continent 1/Oroka: An empire ruled by an emperor and an empress, subject to the Evil Overlord; think medieval England (central on the map)

Continent 2/Ala-ala-ala: A very tribal land rich with culture and precious metals (take a guess which one of those things the overlord is interested in); think Africa or the middle-east (far north, very cold)

Continent 3/Maaaaerp: (number of A's dont matter) this continent is run by a bunch of kids under 18 who lost their parents in a fatal "welcoming of the overlord" ceremony; think steampunk (southwest)

Small continent/Bardos: Bards dont play; well, they play musical instruments, but that's it. They also like to play games. Ok, bards play a lot. But their army dont play when it comes to resisting the evil overlord; think Australia, but right after it was settled by prisoners... (far east)

Gi: the small island all heroes must start on. You may leave if you wish, but you should probably make a plan first. (between Bardos and Oroka)
I'm 31 years old and this story...well, there are multiple stories merged into one, but they're all over 15 years old. So explaining everything in one post is not an option. But keep reading (and for the love of God, ask questions), because this is not your generic "You wake up in..." story or game.

YOU - the player - your consciousness, memories, experiences UP UNTIL THIS POINT - are transported to another dimension/universe/world/realm/plane of existence, whatever you wanna call it. Except you are in the body of another character. You can hear and feel the other character's mind and personality, but you control the body. So if you meet a short bearded man with a pickaxe, and he looks like a dwarf, you might assume he's a dwarf, if you've played any DnD or watched any fantasy movies in real life. However, if that dwarf type creature is actually something else, the person sitting passenger with you (IE me), may choose to correct your assumption, or he/she may let you believe what you wanna believe.

The worlds: the RPG is called The Otherworlds Stories because there are more than one world.

The first world is a ----REDACTED, TOP SECRET---- where there is no ______, ______, or _____. You may think this - or perhaps even both of these worlds - are boring since apparently you cannot _____, but rest assured, the conspiracies and mysteries will have you guessing until the end.

The second world you will enter will be ----REDACTED, TOP SECRET---- where you will have to rely heavily on your diplomatic skills and perception of people and surroundings rather than combat, since everyone there will be way more ----YOU DONT WANT TO KNOW----

Then there is the more mundane world, except it's ----REDACTED, TOP SECRET----, but all of these different stories and worlds are inter-connected. The key is trying to find out how, and of course surviving.

There are rules.
1) You know in the game, what you know in real life. Up until you join the game.
2) Have a notebook, physical or computeral - you are gonna wanna write or type things out to keep in mind for later. You really dont want to have to sift through hundreds of pages of RP to find the name of that NPC that was mentioned once...
3) I currently run a d20 tabletop RPG of this (like DnD), so if you would either have a d20 on hand or download an app, that would be great. I could roll for you but why? Yes, you can cheat, for a little while, but it wont really help all that much. Trust me.
4) Passion. Creativity. Ingenuity. Reliability. Have these. Please. I will remove you from the game if you are absent for more than two weeks without notice, or if I feel like you're not that interested. Which makes no sense since this game is online and you can choose to RP anything, but it's been known to happen.
5) There is a type of leveling/XP in one of the stories. If you bring someone into the fold and they play long-term, you will gain XP and level up quicker. If they leave after you level or show no interest, or I just think they came to help you out, I will reduce you one level. I giveth away, and I taketh away.
6) This game has an overall story arc. But feel free to suggest creative ideas. I will only disallow them if they in some way go against the overall arc of the story. If you want to affect the arc, remember you are in another person's body seeing things as they would, and acting contrary to how they would act, so...that's kind of an unrealistic expectation, and you will understand why once you've been playing awhile.
7) Charisma, diplomacy, persuasion, perception, insight, etc. > combat ability.
8) There will be no more than 8 main player-characters. If anymore join, they will be ancillary. They will be the Jack Patillos of the game. XD for Achievement Hunter fans.
@Night_ Star why would you assume i might start a religious debate? i was just asking out of curiosity. Hebrews fast for the same exact reasons, just at a different time of the year (though its a good idea to fast more often than that for those reasons as well)
I have a couple of concerns/questions/comments:

1) You are playing Nessy, but is Nessy sentient, like some dragons are?
2) Considering what we know of Nessy, the creature is most likely this. However, if you plan on the monster not being that, but some other mythological or fantasy creature (such as a sentient dragon), then will you explain how the monster was created? I dont mind if the explanation comes IC, as long as i get one eventually :P

3) Why do you call Nessy the master of monsters?

4) Will we see other monsters in the RP? Bigfoot comes to mind. However, im worried this RP might just turn into a monster-mash of monsters we have to fight.

5) I dont really have a character for this, so i will roll some dice and randomly make one, if i decide to continue IC
appears the GM has been AWOL for a couple months.
