Ah okay. I see what was going on. I was thinking of electromagnetism and you were talking about magnetism. I get it now ^^;

Everything else makes sense too.

I just got out of a full shift and it's late. So I'll edit everything tomorrow (I'm off).

Thanks for the input (and patience.)

@Geyter

@JackDLemmy Alright. From what I get from the fruit is that it's similar to Kidd's, but instead of manipulating electromagnetism, it's more of the concept of magnetism. The idea in itself is fine for now.

The nerfs and conditions I was previously taking about would involve it's area of effect (AoE) and on how it's activated.

For it's AoE, I'll limit it to single objects. So basic hand held weapons, cannon balls, then large rocks at most. Charging up an average sized person would be difficult and take a significant amount of time. The stronger you get, the larger the objects it can affect. Eventually you'd get to charge up larger areas such as land.

The conditions I was talking about would be how you would trigger the charge. You'd require physical touch. At present, it would definitely limit what you can do, but that's the point.

A good reference point would be Shiki and his Levitation Fruit. It's very similar to what you want. However, instead of electromagnetism with pushing/pulling, it's just manipulating the things he levitates. The area he effects is incredibly massive, affecting entire islands.

Anyway, that's about it. Physical contact let's you assign a neutral charge. No technique needed. Changing it either positive or negative requires techniques.

Also, what do you mean regarding your mentions on kinetic energy?

I'm sorry. I'm a bit confused by the first part. What did you mean by the concept of magnetism? I could've been mistaken but I thought that an item have a positive or negative charge was what caused electrons and protons to be pulled/ repelled, which was what electromagnetism was? (I haven't really studied much on physics so I'm really curious.)

I'm fine with a single item at the moment, to start with, but would that carry out through the character's advancement with the devil fruit?

I'm completely fine with a charge being limited to small objects to start with.

Requiring physical touch works too.

Well kinetic energy is movement. Normally if someone hits someone else the force of the blow actually disperses equally between the two parties. The issue with that is my character isn't physically strong and so if she were to use the ability, later one when heavier power came into play, she'd pull a deku and her arm would be smashed into pieces. So by adding the stipulation that force moves into the positive charge it makes it so any damage to her would be mitigated. Also put the thing it the neutral charge so she could put it on herself as a way to lower damage taken from blows she hasn't been able to put a charge on.

@Geyter

@JackDLemmy I prefer this concept, but still needs reworking. Specifically range, area of effect, and conditions to use the ability. Also, each charge would be a different technique. If you don't mind the nerf, I can help you work on it.

I have no problems with the fruit being nerfed and would really appreciate the help. What did you have in mind, exactly for the fruit's limitations?
@Geyter

@JackDLemmy Mark Mark Fruit.

It seems too vague. If you're going with the idea of assigning objects with "a charge" too create somewhat of a faux magnetism, that would be okay. You should rephrase it as such though. It kinda gives me the same vibe as "Manipulate Separation" that it doesn't tell me what it actually does aside from assigning a mark.

It seems like Color Trap but incredibly powerful since "Various Effects" just means "Anything".

Understood. Ultimately electromagnetism manipulation is what the fruit will be capable of, though that's a way's off. The "various effects" part was just if something else came to mind, but that is a beat of a cheat so I'll remove it. I overhauled the fruit in a way that I think is more clear as to the fruit's abilities and limits.
@Geyter
Changed my character's fruit. How do you feel about this one?
@Rai

@GreenGoat I think we can see the flaws easier in our own creations.

I know I can ><
@Geyter

@JackDLemmy That code though. Don't worry about the lack of DF users. Just go with whatever you're most comfortable with.

<Snipped quote by Rai>Surprised me too. Good for Sanji though.

@Saltwater Thief Accepted! You could remove that line under stats saying that you only have 50 points to spend though.

Will start writing up the intro. IC will be up probably sometime this weekend.

True, but I always liked it when there's a good mix in an rp. Just my ocd I guess.
On the bright side I'm pretty much finished with the CS. I picked the Skills, fixed the code, and just need to figure out three more skills. Which I'll be able to add through the work day!
WIP
Kind of surprised by the lack of DF users. So I'm going to change my original concept for the character's abilities now. So just need to figure out what kind of fruit goes well with a showman ^^;

@Geyter
Question: are the new stats going to be in the cs?
WIP
Name: Yvonne Vandolas

Age: 18

Bounty: 12,000,000

Gender: Female

Appearance:

Personality: Upon first meeting Yvonne meaning would assume her to be cold, and aloof. Uninterested in the world around her, but that couldn't be further from the truth. She's keenly aware of her surroundings along with those who exist within in it. She's curious to the point of fault. She's a highly motivated worker, when she wants to be, and often times loses herself in her projects or experiments.

Like her character, Yvonne's morals also cause confusion, even among those who know her best. This is because she tends to see things in shades of gray as opposed to black or white, as everything is in a state of flux. She's also highly pragmatic, always certain the ends may justify the means. Though despite her utilitarian ideals, Yvonne isn't above showing off or becoming flustered if her creations don't work the way she hopes.

Backstory:
Yvonne spent her formative years on a small island where her skills and intelligence quickly caught the eye of the world government. After which she was moved to one of their high level labs were she was educated. After learning everything she could from the resources allotted to her, Yvonne was put on various R&D projects which were quickly brought to fruition thanks to Yvonne's capable hands.

It was during one such project "the Trinity Garden" where she became disillusioned with the world government), and not only planned, and carried out her escape, but crippled any and all future hopes of anyone ever using the new weapon system again.

Abilities:
Genius level intellect-Even by the brightest minds at the World Government's disposal Yvonne is considered a superior intellect. Her intellect, when coupled with her imagination and dogged determination means that there's not much in the way of physically possible that she can't do, and a few things that should be physically possible which she's managed.

Engineering-Yvonne is a master of engineering and is constantly tinkering with whatever she can get her hands on.

Items
JALOH- Five robots which can be formed into a single entity. Each robot comes equipped with a tracker, camera, and simple AI which can handle rudimentary tasks. The JALOH units can be controlled via a pair of special gloves which Yvonne keeps on her person at all time. She also wears special glasses which when activated can show her: each units location, stats, or allow her to see through a unit's camera feed.

Relationships:

Dreams: To put an end to the world government's current hierarchy, and create something splendid which will stand the test of time.
