Since the local Jigglypuff and Clefairy populations of Mt Moon were recently reclassified under the newly-discovered Fairy type, Mt. Moon had an aura of mysticism that Shiranui felt. Titania's Poké Ball shook and the Ralts popped out. "There are bad people below us!" the Ralts telepathically cried out, clearly afraid.
Shiranui encountered a horde of Aron and sent Shishi out. "Aron, the Iron Armor Pokémon. It usually lives deep in mountains. However, hunger may drive it to eat railroad tracks and cars."
"Shishi, keep using Roar until there's one left!" Nodding at her trainer, Shishi let off a loud Roar at one of the Aron and it ambled away. Two of the remaining Aron used Tackle and the rest used Harden. Shishi roared at one of the Aron whom used Harden and it left. Two Mud Slaps blinded Shishi a little while the third Aron used Harden again. Shishi roared at one of the two-pronged attackers and it left, leaving two Aron who went for a two-pronged attack, one using Tackle and the other using Headbutt. Both attacks missed. Shishi roared at the one whom used Tackle and after it left, one remained. "Shishi, Charge!" Shishi charged power, causing her Special Defence stat to go up and electricity to arc between her claws. Aron scratched Shishi with Metal Claw, but the Luxio didn't get much damage from the attack. "Shishi, Spark!" The Luxio pounced on Aron, electrocuting the metal eater with more power than the attack would normally use thanks to the Charge attack from earlier. Aron was left paralysed from the hit and Shiranui took the opportunity. "Poké Ball, go!" He threw the Poké Ball and Aron was drawn in. The ball shook a bit until it a resounding ding was heard. Shiranui named the Aron Tetsu and gave Shishi a rewarding pet for her hard work.
When Shiranui put his newly-caught Aron away, a Sableye jumped out and gave Shishi a Mean Look, rendering the Luxio unable to retreat. "Shishi, Bite!" Sableye gave Shishi a Leer before it got bit by Shishi. Shiranui noticed the Sableye had the Prankster ability, making it able to get certain moves in before Shishi could attack. "Shishi, Spark!" This time, Shishi managed to tackle Sableye, electrocuting it into paralysis. Sableye fired dark beams from its eyes at Shishi, signifying a Night Shade and Shishi got a bit of damage, but not much. "Poké Ball, go!" Sableye was drawn in and after a minute of watching the ball shaking, Shiranui heard the ding he hoped to hear and the Sableye was caught. He named his new catch Sapphire and Shishi beamed with happiness at a job well done.

Shiranui handed his Pokémon over for healing and went with Liam.

As he went with Liam along Route 3, Shiranui noticed a couple of Pokémon that shared one thing common with Titania and that reminded him of the controversy that happened barely a year ago when various Pokémon started showing an immunity to Dragon-type moves and some Eevee started evolving to Sylveon through bonding if they knew certain moves. The Kalos Pokémon League explained about a new type called Fairy that was immune to Dragon-type moves; resistant to Fighting, Bug and Dark moves; and weak against Poison and Steel. Their type of attack didn't affect Fire, Poison or Steel that much and was strong against Fighting, Dragon and Dark. Other things the Kalos League stated that superseded what other regions had known was that the Steel type was no longer resistant to Ghost or Dark moves, Grass Pokémon were immune to powder moves, Electric Pokémon could no longer be paralysed through any means and Ghost Pokémon were immune to trapping moves.
Through training along Route 3, Shishi had evolved to a Luxio.
Shiranui did see the bit of pink hair, but did not comment on it as he was more concerned over Liam's wellbeing. "Are you okay?" he asked.
Shiranui saw a Kabutops skeleton and read that it came onto the land back in the Devonian period to hunt its prey.
Shiranui entered and gazed in wonder at the artefacts within.
50 gyms and STILL no Dark gym…
