Zapdos grabbed Yamamoto's shoulders and tried gaining altitude, but the Tyranitar was too heavy to be lifted into the air*. "Yamamoto, Stone Edge!" Rings of stones orbited around Yamamoto and were launched at Zapdos.
* Sky Drop will fail if the target weighs 200 kg (440.9 lbs.) or more as they would be too heavy to lift.

Yamamoto was electrocuted from the Discharge and was already starting to feel exhausted. "Yamamoto, Earthquake!" With Zapdos grounded from the Smack Down, it was no longer immune to ground attacks and Yamamoto took advantage of the fact by stomping the battlefield, sending forth a powerful quake.
"Smack Down!" Yamamoto threw another rock at Zapdos, hoping to ground the bird.
Both attacks collided and did super effective damage. The only difference was the amount of damage received—despite Zapdos' attack exploiting a double weakness, it only did minor damage. "Yamamoto, Stone Edge again!" With stones orbiting Yamamoto like a planetary ring system, the Tyranitar started charging again.
The rock bounced off the shield. "Yamamoto, Stone Edge!" Three rings of white light were conjured around Yamamoto that formed into stones as the Tyranitar charged at Zapdos.
"Yamamoto, Smack Down!" The Tyranitar found the rain barely tolerable, but focused on the battle as he threw a rock at Zapdos to try and ground the bird.
"Titania, return; Yamamoto, I choose you!" Shiranui switched his Gardevoir out—knowing it would cancel the Gardevoir's stat boosts—and sent out his Tyranitar.
"Titania, Stored Power!" The Gardevoir unleashed a blast of psychic energy more powerful than a Hyper Beam at Sylveon.
Titania took the hit. "Titania, Calm Mind!" The Gardevoir relaxed her mind and that caused her Special stats to sharply rise.
"Titania, Charm!" With a wink at Sylveon, Titania sent hearts flying at the Eevee evolution. The Encore had ended.
