"I agree," replied Shiranui, "We must assume that Chuck would have some counter strategies for Psychic and Flying types. Only a few of his Pokémon can hit Ghost-types and I don't believe he would have got wind of Fairy-types; which his Pokémon are weak to."

"Thanks Liam," replied Shiranui, joining Liam on the way to the Pokémon Centre.
The crowd cheered as the Sea Priestess Maya awarded Shiranui a Mystic Water pendant and declared him as a Sea Hero.
"Not gonna work! Hikari, Thunderbolt!" Vaporeon sharply increased its Defense stat again before Hikari unleashed a bolt of electricity.
The Shadow Ball struck true and Ryou was down for the count. "Ryou, return; Hikari, I choose you!" Shiranui switched his Seadra for his Lanturn.
Ryou's rampage had ended and the Seadra was now confused. "Ryou, Smokescreen!" As Vaporeon covered itself in acid to sharply increase its Defense stat, Ryou tried to spit out a murky cloud of ink, but hurt himself in his confusion.
Ryou charged in for another Outrage attack.
Ryou was starting to show signs of fatigue. "Ryou, Outrage!" The Seadra made another attempt at his berserker attack. Shiranui wasn't as confident it would work after the previous attempt had missed its mark.
"Ryou, Swagger!" The Seadra swam around in a smug manner.
