The next day, Shiranui was up and ready to head east.

"Indeed," Shiranui agreed before getting into bed.

"I sure am," replied Shiranui, "Do you think she has any counter-strategies for Fairy-types?"

Shiranui managed to arrange an evolution trade for Ryou to evolve to a Kingdra. The person he traded with also had a Shiny Stone he was happy to be rid of so Shiranui used it to evolve Kanki to a Togekiss.

Shiranui went there as well and grabbed a soda from a vending machine to drink away the trouble of saying his password. He thought about the gym battle with Clair and realised he needed a Shiny Stone and to trade evolve one of his Pokémon.

Shiranui was left with the rest of the Electrode. He had Hikari battle them and every time the Electrode tried to zap the Lanturn, Hikari only recovered any damage that was inflicted. Two went down and the third used Self-Destruct to take Hikari out. Shiranui sent Sundan out to battle the last Electrode and a couple of Fury Cutters heavily damaged it. "Great Ball, go!" Shiranui threw a Great Ball and the Electrode was drawn in. A few shakes and the Great Ball pinged shut. Shiranui named his new catch Bakudan and the machine was shut down.

"The Pokémon at the Lake of Rage can now live in peace," Shiranui said with relief.

The trio beheld a massive machine that was powered by six Electrode. "Could this monstrosity be the cause of the Lake of Rage incident?" Shiranui speculated.

"Same with mine," replied Shiranui, "Here goes nothing…" He activated one of the password locks and said, "Slowpoke Tail".

"I did," answered Shiranui, "You?"
