"Hyper Beam!" Both Pokémon executed their respective attacks and an explosion issued forth, covering the battlefield with smoke. Shiranui hoped Raijuu survived the attack, but the chances were slim.

Nikola's attack struck home and did some heavy damage. Both Pokémon had to recharge.
Nikola did a loop-de-loop and swooped in for an attack that did not do much damage. "Raijuu, Hyper Beam!" The Raikou gathered a lot of energy and fired a powerful beam at Nikola.
"Bulldoze!" Raijuu stomped the ground and sent a quake at the roosting Zapdos.
The damage was even less than Raijuu's attack. "Raijuu, Extrasensory!" The Raikou's eyes glowed a gold colour and an iridescent beam issued forth.
"Thunder!" Being the speediest of the trio, Raijuu sent out a bolt of lightning.
Kitakaze was electrocuted and combined with Vesuvius' Solar Beam from earlier, the damage was enough to knock the Suicune out. "Kitakaze, return; Raijuu, I choose you!" Shiranui switched one legendary beast for the other.
"Ice Beam!" Kitakaze went for a less powerful, but more accurate attack as the Suicune's crystal fed power into a bright blue orb of energy and a lightning-like beam issued forth.
"Kitakaze, Blizzard!" The Suicune's crystal glowed a bright blue as it launched a strong blizzard at Zapdos.
"Kitakaze, Hydro Pump and follow it up with Mirror Coat!" The Suicune fired a powerful jet of water at Vesuvius before taking a defensive stance.
