"Higitsune, come on out!" Shiranui let his Delphox out. "A Gengar snatched one of Liam's Luxury Balls. Can you please help us locate it?" Higitsune nodded and read Liam's mind, finding the memory of Rotom's capture and the Gengar stealing the ball. Severing the mind link, Higitsune scanned the house and located his quarry. "Del!" shouted Higitsune before taking off running like a hunting dog.
"That you do," Shiranui confirmed, "It's all yours." Numeru started glowing, growing to double her height and growing stubby arms and a snail shell-like protrusion on her back. The glow subsided to reveal a Sliggoo and Shiranui scanned her.
"Sliggoo, the Soft Tissue Pokémon and the evolved form of Goomy. It drives away opponents by excreting a sticky liquid that can dissolve anything. Its eyes devolved, so it can't see anything. Its four horns are a high-performance radar system. It uses them to sense sounds and smells, rather than using ears or a nose."
Soaked by the Rotom, Shiranui scanned it. "Rotom, the Plasma Pokémon. Its body is composed of plasma. It is known to infiltrate electronic devices and wreak havoc."
"That's it, Rotom, it's on!" rebutted Shiranui, "Numeru, Dragon Breath!" He sent his Goomy out and the little gastropod blew a gust at Rotom. "Liam, do you want a Rotom or shall I capture it?"
"There's something in that washing machine," he stated, "Come out of there, whatever you are! You are not fooling us!"
Shiranui heard the thudding as well. "Liam, what could that be?" he asked.
"Well, this place is definitely haunted," stated Shiranui, "A playful Haunter and a mischievous Gengar among other Pokémon."
"Except it tried it right in front of Yoto's watchful eyes," added Shiranui with a chuckle, "Gengar, that was silly; trying to make my bag fly open with a Doublade watching my back."
Yoto sensed the Gengar and wrapped a cloth around the ghost. The sword that didn't wrap the cloth unsheathed itself and tapped Gengar. "Yoto, what's going on?" Shiranui asked after feeling something on his bag.
"That was creepy," Shiranui remarked, knowing some of the tricks Ghost-type Pokémon can play.
"That's a Silph Scope," answered Shiranui, deducing what Haunter was asking, "It allows a human to see Ghost-type Pokémon when they're invisible or in illusion."
