Shiranui scanned Sharpedo with his Pokédex. "Sharpedo, the Brutal Pokémon. Nicknamed 'the bully of the sea', Sharpedo is widely feared. Its cruel fangs grow back immediately if they snap off. Just one of these Pokémon can thoroughly tear apart a supertanker."
"Gimansha, I choose you!" Shiranui sent his Mawile out and the battle was on.
"Sharpedo, Swagger!"
"Gimansha, Play Rough! Mega Ring activate!" Shiranui activated the keystone on his Mega Ring and Gimansha was enveloped in an orb of energy. The orb shattered to reveal a Mega Mawile. Sharpedo swaggered about and that caused Gimansha to be so angry, her Attack stat sharply increased. This of course rendered the Mega Mawile confused. Gimansha was able to have enough mental focus to charge at Sharpedo and deliver the roughest roughhousing anyone had ever seen thanks to her Huge Power ability. Not even Sharpedo's Rough Skin ability was enough to deter Gimansha as the Mega Mawile let up on her assault and left Sharpedo knocked out in one hit.
"I'll just have to force my way past!" replied Matt, "Sharpedo, you're up!"

Once the cameras were rolling, the duo sent out a Loudred and a Magneton. "Magneton, the Magnet Pokémon and the evolved form of Magnemite. Magneton emits a powerful magnetic force that is fatal to electronics and precision instruments. Because of this, it is said that some towns warn people to keep this Pokémon inside a Poké Ball."
"Loudred, the Big Voice Pokémon and the evolved form of Whismur. Loudred's bellowing can completely decimate a wood-frame house. It uses its voice to punish its foes. This Pokémon's round ears serve as loudspeakers." Shiranui sent Kinoko and Niwatori out and the battle was on. Magneton tried to protect Loudred from Kinoko's attacks, but one Flamethrower from Niwatori soon took it out. Kinoko had badly poisoned Loudred and Loudred was stamping the ground in preparation for an attack. Loudred let out a Roar at Niwatori and the Combusken could not have gone back into his ball fast enough. Both Shiranui and a badly poisoned Kinoko were reeling from Loudred's vocal onslaught as Gimansha was dragged out. Kinoko started glowing and after a while, the glow subsided to reveal a Breloom. "Breloom, the Mushroom Pokémon and the evolved form of Shroomish. Breloom closes in on its foe with light and sprightly footwork, then throws punches with its stretchy arms. This Pokémon's fighting technique puts boxers to shame." Gimansha charged in with a Play Rough attack at the ready and Kinoko charged in with a Superpower at the ready and Loudred was soon getting pummelled by a two-pronged attack. After Kinoko and Gimansha let up on their assault, Loudred was knocked out.
"That was a battle befitting of the newest inductee of Kalos' Hall of Fame," said Gabby.
"Thank you very much," replied Shiranui, agreeing to be interviewed.
"In one or two words, how would you describe your feelings about our battle?" asked Gabby.
"Deafening," answered Shiranui.
"Thank you for your time, Mr. Tsukiko," said Gabby before calling a wrap.

"Next stop: Fortree City," said Shiranui, heading east.
Shiranui stocked up on supplies for the trek to Fortree City.
"We should stock up on supplies first as we have another long trek ahead," replied Shiranui.
Shiranui was waiting at the Pokémon Centre for his Pokémon to be healed. "Our next destination is far away at Fortree City," he stated, "We can warp to Mauville City, but we'll have to trek northward along Routes 118 and 119."
