Shiranui had thoroughly trounced a Tauros through point depletion by having Tachi use Attract, Captivate, Fake Tears and Psychic.

Shiranui entered the contest and waited in the green room.

"Hello everyone and welcome to the Pacifidlog Pokémon Contest! I'm your host, Vivian!" Vivian announced. She waited for the applause to die down. "Now, let me introduce our judges! The Head of the Pokémon Contest committee,Mr Contesta!"
"Hello everyone, let's see some good appeals."
"The head of the Pokémon Fan Club Committee, Mr. Sukizo!"
"Pacifidlog is remarkable!" Suziko commented.
"And last, but not least, our town's very own, Nurse Joy!"
"Let's have a fun time, everyone."
"Now, our contests are competing for this ribbon!" Vivian announced as she held the ribbon up. "Now, without further ado, let's begin!"

Shiranui saw several great appeals before it was his turn. "Our next contestant is someone who has conquered the Kalos League. Give it up for Contestant #14, Shiranui Tsukiko!" The audience cheered really loudly for Shiranui as he made his entrance.
"Tachi, I choose you!" He called his Espeon out and a few people were awestruck at the smoothness of Tachi's fur and the shininess of her gem.
"Start with Swift!" Tachi conjured several stars that circled high above the stage in a perfect ring formation. "Light 'em up with Flash!" The Espeon let off a flash of bright light that caused the stars to glow with iridescence. "Finish with Psyshock!" Tachi conjured an orb of psychic energy from her gem that exploded into a ripple that hit the stars, causing them to shatter into iridescent sparkles.

"What a dazzling colourful display!"
"Espeon is remarkable!"
"You've taken excellent care of your Espeon."

Both Shiranui and Tachi were basking in the joy they felt after their appeal.

Shiranui got on the ferry and after it left for Pacifidlog town, he was busy thinking about his next appeal all the while defeating anyone that challenged him for a battle and giving autographs to those who asked, signing his name in the old language he was taught back in Ecruteak City. "One of the more bittersweet facets of being famous, I suppose," he mused to himself.

The ferry had arrived in Pacifidlog Town and Shiranui was excited about the upcoming contest.

"Sounds good," Shiranui agreed, "Sayonara." With that he left the Pokémon Centre and made his way to the port.

Shiranui handed Niwatori in for healing. "Sounds like you have business back home," he said.

"That's quite a distance away," stated Shiranui to Liam. He was determined to win the Pacifidlog Contest and was thinking about what he would do appeal-wise.

"Change to Brick Break!" Niwatori smirked at Plasma as the Mega Blaziken performed a series of karate moves before chopping the screen, causing it to shatter.

"Niwatori, Night Slash!" Plasma may have copied Niwatori's speed boosts, but Shiranui knew the Rotom had also copied Niwatori's Special Attack drop and the evasion boost from the earlier Double Team was nullified. Plasma successfully dodged the attack, but Niwatori was already readying another attack.

Shiranui lost more points. "Flare Blitz!" With Niwatori's Speed at its maximum and time running out, the Mega Blaziken ran laps around the stage with his whole body ignited before turning towards Rotom.

Shiranui lost a lot of points however Niwatori was unscathed except for a broken Substitute. "Niwatori, use Overheat!" The Mega Blaziken sprung into action and put all of his firepower into a blast of flames that was white hot with a slight hint of blue.
