As Shiranui watched Numeru receive and then shower the egg with nuzzles and affection, he felt overjoyed at seeing the start of a family. "Your mother will be as overjoyed as we are when she sees our Goodra with egg," stated Shiranui.

"I'm proud of the two of you!" Shiranui praised. Numeru handed the egg to the father Goodra and gave Shiranui a hug.

Some time later, the Goodra couple returned and Numeru was holding an egg to her chest.

"No arguments from me," Shiranui agreed. He knew after beating the Battle Frontier, the time would come to choose out of at least three regions and Alola was looking to be high on his list.

"It probably goes without saying that Alola is yet to have an official Pokémon League," stated Shiranui.
"It is likely considering how isolated that archipelago is," replied Majin, "Far, far away between Kanto and Orre."

"You'll love that region," Majin assured, "Though it has a bit of an abnormality."
"Which is?" Shiranui pressed.
"Alola has some similarities to the Orange Archipelago when it comes to the climate and the fact it's an archipelago as well as how their challenges work; but unlike the Orange Islands, Alola has no gyms and fewer islands. Each major island has a Challenge Trial that involves either a quiz or a scavenger hunt. At the end of the trial, you'll face a Totem Pokémon that will summon an ally that will put you in a two-against-one battle. Once you defeat the totem Pokémon, you will be able to face the local kahuna—their equivalent of a gym leader and yes, they have type specialities."

"Alola, huh?" replied Shiranui, "I've only heard a few things about that place; mostly from Majin."
"That's right," the Hoopa chimed in, "New Pokémon, new variants of Pokémon local to nearby Kanto, Pokédexes powered by Rotom and even new moves that can only be used through special stones."
