Shiranui was Coordinator #20 and thus followed Lucy in the appeals order. He sent out his Electrode, Bakudan, and through a combination of Magnet Rise, Swift and Gyro Ball, Bakudan looked like a planet with a system of rings. The appeal finished with a literal bang thanks to Bakudan's use of Explosion.

Shiranui registered for the contest and had his plan of attack sorted out.

"We better get ready for the contest," Shiranui suggested, hoping to change the subject to something less melancholy.

"Has your mother given her consent?" Shiranui asked Smaug.

"I really feel for you, Liam," stated Shiranui, "It's this kind of empathy that will make the bond you have with Smaug that much stronger." He thought of Smaug as one of the two Mega Charizard forms blitzing through his opponents like a juggernaut.

Shiranui addressed Smaug. "The three of us as well as Nurse Joy want to send your mother to the Charicific Valley so she can recover with minimal risk of being poached," he stated, "I suggest you go and talk to her about it before we start making arrangements."

Shiranui looked over at Zerina and knew the Charizard saw a lot of battles. "Looks like we all have one," he stated, wondering how his own Charizard, Kaki, was doing.

"Liam, you should ask Smaug about sending his mother to the Charicific Valley," Shiranui suggested. He thought about the natural hazards a poacher would face if any were foolhardy enough to poach there.

"What place would that be?" Shiranui asked, curious about such a place.

Shiranui handed Senritsu and Higitsune in for healing.
