Shiranui saw the battle and wondered if all Rockruff had to battle a Lycanroc before evolving.
Shiranui noticed the sun making an appearance on the eastern horizon as he beheld Brooklet Hill. A loud howl was heard in the distance, scaring away a large flock of Pikipek and Trumbeak.
Shiranui followed Liam and Moony, curious about what Moony had found and hoping it was Okami.
"Alola," Shiranui said in parting to the Rockets, giving them the I'm-watching-you gesture.
Shiranui checked his Pokénav app and noticed what direction they were going. "Liam, we seem to be getting closer to Brooklet Hill where the next trial is located," he stated, "Could Okami have gone ahead of us?"

Shiranui decided to go with Liam in his search for Okami. "Moony should know Okami's scent," he stated, "He should be able to track her down."
Shiranui marked the Pokémon Centre on his Pokénav app. He agreed with the rendezvous point.
"There's one problem with your plan, Mike," Shiranui commented, "Saisei is not capable of putting anyone to sleep and I doubt that Ashika, Ariel or Bastille have learned the moves to do so as of yet. I have however made some metsubushi filled with Spore attacks compliments of my Breloom that would do the trick."
"I do agree with you, Liam," replied Shiranui, "But, if we find Okami still as a Rockruff, she would be a danger to everyone around her."
Shiranui listened in to his friends' banter from his location. "Well, Rockruff aren't sexually dimorphic so you'd have to use other means to find out their gender," Shiranui mused before leaving his location and rejoining the group. "I have a hunch that Okami wants to evolve to a form different to Moony's and if it's right, we're picking the wrong time to look for her," he said.
