The interruption to the battle along with the sudden drop in temperature made Shiranui realise he had been getting as riled up as Chuck was when the latter had not been listening to reason. He performed the kuji-kiri to calm himself down although it had barely worked as he was on the verge of breaking down before he felt a consoling paw on his shoulder compliments of Zoro. "Thank you, Elisa, I needed that," he said.

"You're right about the battle being decided," Shiranui rebutted, "Just not in Azriel's favour—can a Mega Alakazam read hundreds of quadrillions of possible futures every second?" Nayamashii pushed through Christa's Flamethrower and amidst the flames said something to the Celesteela through the move Confide, hoping to break Christa's concentration enough for the Salazzle's attack to land.

"Nayamashii, Inferno Overdrive at Christa!" Shiranui sent his Salazzle out and activated the Firium Z on his Z-Power Ring before performing the dance. Nayamashii channelled her Fire Blast into the Z-Move and let loose a torrent of blue-hot flames at Christa. Shiranui didn't know if Christa could survive two Inferno Overdrives, but he was confident that Azriel could not beat what was essentially a living octa-core supercomputer.

"Yuugou, intercept that Heavy Slam!" Shiranui sent his Metang out and Yuugou floated over and started pushing Christa back with all their might. The determination to not let Christa's attack cause enough damage to be lethal triggered Yuugou's evolution. In the bright glow, Yuugou gained two more limbs and the glow subsided to reveal a Metagross. Shiranui activated the keystone on his Z-Power Ring and Yuugou's Metagrossite reacted. The Metagross became a Mega Metagross and the small disparity in weight allowed Yuugou to stop Christa's attack.

Ashika was glad to see Bastille help out in her effort to make Chuck fall asleep and thus upped the relaxing cadence of her song.

Askika kept singing after the Metal Sound ended. "We will subdue you if you keep up your berserker rage!" Shiranui added with a hand over Nayamashii's Poké Ball.

Shiranui saw the drama between Liam and Chuck escalate. "Ashika, give Chuck a song!" He sent his Primarina out and the seal started using Sing to try and get Chuck to fall asleep before tensions boiled over.

Zoro shot a Flamethrower into the air, trying to get the attention of any of his human friends. Shiranui saw the rising flames and went over to take a look. "Well, well, well, look what Maui, Moana and Zoro dragged in," he quipped after seeing the damning evidence, "Great job, you three."

Shiranui shook his head at Jessie's stubbornness while Zoro noticed Moana and Maui dig up the frozen person and snapped into action by using Flamethrower to warm up said person.

"What makes you so sure we won't?" Shiranui asked, "We have a piece of poisoned meat as forensic evidence and Okami or any of our Pokémon who knows Odor Sleuth could identify the poison and sniff out a trail. Failing that, any crime lab in our vicinity can analyse it and we'll let the police handle the case."

Shiranui was wary of the Absol as he knew they appeared to warn people and Pokémon of an imminent disaster. "Great idea, Liam," he commented after he saw his friend bag a piece of poisoned meat he found.

"Jessie and James are tailing you!" came a familiar voice with a Unova accent that raised red flags in his mind.
"Meowth? Why are you warning us when you're in cahoots with those baka?" Shiranui asked.
"Because I'm your Zoroark, that's why," came the answer.
"俺が何処捕獲したか?" Shiranui continued, asking a question only his Pokémon would answer correctly.
"ポケモンの村で、カロス地方。" answered 'Meowth'.
"You're my Zoroark alright," Shiranui said with a smile as Zoro relayed what he heard and dropped his Meowth guise before leaving to speak with the Absol.
