Yes well the way you reference D&D and how this game does things differently made me wonder if you were aware that there's plenty games with a focus on narrative, lack of classes, less stat inflation, and other things mentioned.

Also game looks aight I suppose, an offspring of D&D with some rules light type game

Last round descartes got targeted with a power move. Like I said its perk makes you give up a turn if you acted before to defend yourself and I doubt he'll want to take full damage.

Also Defendia only hurt it slightly but not enough to kill it and it doesn't interrupt the attack.

Anyway Ot your turn as I doubt Descartes is gonna take that power move to his face, which due to its perk if used in the same round on someone who already had their turn makes them lose their turn. So yeah
