Moving away from the group, Joshua stopped once they were a good distance away and took out two pokeballs.
"Murkrow, Froakie, arise!" He said, tossing the balls up into the air. They opened up and the usual beams of light came out and hit the ground. When the vanished, the two Pokémon would be there, ready for battle.

Personality: Lucus is a care-free man who can come off as a bit lazy at times. He loves doing what he wants when he wants to, though he knows his role as a Gym Leader is important and will do his duties when he needs to.
Outside of the gym, Lucus is very friendly and kind to everyone around him. He acts as he sees fit and doesn't turn a blind eye to any wrong doing. In Ambra, he is well known for looking after every and trying his best to keep the children of the town out of the abandoned warehouses by letting them play in his gym. He also heads up several programs to rebuild the town, making playgrounds and parks for the children to play in safely.
In battle, Lucus is very relaxed and has a tendency to look like he's not really focused on the battle. He is actually very aware of the battle and simply does this to test his opponent's ability to keep their cool.

Past/History: Very little is known about Lucus. What is known about him is that he comes from the Kanto Region and belongs to a rich family that he ran away from at the age of 15. He traveled the world as a trainer and came to love Flying-type Pokémon because of their ability to roam the world quickly and freely.
His record before becoming a Gym Leader is an impressive one, having won a Pokémon League and even challenging and beating some of the Frontier Brains. Despite this, he chose to be the first Gym Leader for unknown reasons. Despite being the first Gym Leader, his philosophy is to give his challengers as hard a battle as possible, in hopes of shattering their egos before they challenge any of the other Gym leaders.

possibly but it's Joshua's way of making things even. He'll take any suggestions though, so long as he gets to test everyone out and see where they stand.
