Universal Hub

The last thing you can remember is playing some game. After hitting start, things go all fuzzy. You must've fallen asleep at the keyboard or something. That must explain why you're feeling a bit tired. Your eyes groggily open to your new surroundings. It's very blue, reminiscent of tron certainly, but white instead of black. It's actually quite bright, and for most this would do nothing good on the eyes. It's an endless expanse of white and cyan, and there's no ground beneath you. Though there's no density to it, you can easily swim, and if you could fly, you're sure that would work as well. In fact, maybe you can fly. You can feel it- your body has changed. For some, the changes are minor. Others, their body is not only their's anymore. It's surprisingly un-ephemeral though, it feels that whatever's happening is happening for real. Or maybe it's just a really weird lucid dream. Who knows?

Cirka - Universal Hub

The young fairy boy yawned and groaned in annoyance as he woke up, not even bothering to open his eyes. "Urghh. Eye'm sleepin' here, Mom..." He complained. Getting no response though, Cirka decided something was up. He yawned and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes before checking his surroundings. It was quite bright, and gave off a very sterile feel, making him shield his eyes from all the bright white and cyan. He tried to get out of bed, but he couldn't. There was no bed. In fact, there was nothing under him! He scrambled to find something to hold, only to see he wasn't falling. He looked around to see why, but all he saw was some weird people.

He couldn't remember all of them, but judging by those he could, they were from videogames. Except Jack. He was from a comic. Also, he was evil, probably. Cirka tried to charge at the enemy, but when he moved his body, he realized it had changed. He quickly took stock of himself. His hair felt the same, though until he got a mirror he wouldn't be sure. He couldn't remember wear he had gotten his clothes, and he felt much shorter. There were two cool things about him now though. The wooden sword strapped to his side, and the icicle wings on his back. That explained why he wasn't falling. He quickly resumed his jack attack, flinging himself at the enemy with sword in hand, screaming at the top of his lungs.
D'you think we should have a reboot? Similiar premise, but without the number constraints?

Number restraints?

Also, I'm fine with a reboot. Would we be starting back from the beginning, or what? Like, how much are we gonna keep it the same?
<Snipped quote by Rune_Alchemist>

We should have an entire world that's dedicated to saturday morning cartoons and have the whole thing be an anti drug thing!

"Remember kids, Don't do Crucible."

Nah but seriously a Saturday morning cartoon world sounds hilarious. It'd probably be a Clusterfuck again though, so let's stick with one world. Like you said, G.I. joe is totally an option, but I'm torn between TMNT and He-Man.

EDIT: I'm gonna go and play some videogames for an hour or two, and if they aren't back by then, I'm just gonna finish up and post. I won't progress the plot without them or anything, but I'm getting impatient as well.
What they said.

Anyways, as soon as @Duthguy gets back online and says whether or not Dan has the ring on, and Happy Go Lucky makes a character, if he's going to, then I'll finish up the first IC post.

EDIT: @Chronothesis, are you still gonna make a character?
Still here, but I'm dangerously close to deleting this from my subscriptions and officially resigning.
<Snipped quote by Kafka Komedy>

Awesome, can't wait to start.

I hope this goes well xP

Yeah, me too. I'm gonna begin writing up the post and such now.

EDIT: Being combined with an idiot can take a toll on one's memory. here's a list describing which fandoms out of the one's that people have characters from Cirka remembers.

Homestuck: Yes
Magicka: Yes
Zelda: Yes
Kirby: No
DMC: Yes
Borderlands: No
HM: No

I used that coin flipper on Random.Org.
Least I kept Homestuck.

EDITX2COMBO: @Duthguy, Does Dan have the ring on when he spawns?

Also, unless you guys want to not do this, everyone has some semblance of knowledge on how their powers work, passed on from when they were combined.
I'll probably begin working on the first IC post tonight, but I'll put it out tomorrow. Half because I'm sure it won't be finished by then, but mostly because there's still one person who wants to join but hasn't posted their character yet.
I think a Miami level would be pretty cool. So would Pandora, and with Homestuck there are a lot of choices. I'd want Alternia, but considering this is B1 Jack, I think Derse or one of the Kids' lands would fit better. Or wait, did you mean a world that's a combo of all the fandoms the characters come from? That would be interesting, but also kind of a Clusterfuck. Still, it'd be cool.

As for a zombie level, I vote Dead Rising.
I've got a few suggestions for worlds:

  • Planet Zebes
  • The wastelands of Mad Max
  • Midgar (the city from Final Fantasy VII)
  • Asgard
  • HELL (interpretation pending)

I could name more, but let's start with that and see what's good before I start branching out into all sorts of zany stuff.

  • It'd be cool, even if a bit labyrinthine.
  • I'd probably pick a specific settlement from Mad Max, OR (better idea): The team either has a war rig, or separate cars, and is traversing the wastes. I have a feeling that'd be cool.
  • I like this idea, even if I'm not super duper familiar with Midgar.
  • Not bad. We could fight gods. That'd be pretty awesome.
  • I feel like having a Hell level is a must. Which one though, that's a big debate.

Overall, I'm rooting for Mad Max, with Midgar as a close second.

@Camerch I totally did not see the "respawn" comment. So, here's my explanation for it now

When a Player gets damaged to much, their physical forms begin to break down and the code begins to show itself. If too much of your code is destroyed, you're insalvagable and attempts to restore you make you corrupted. Naturally, this is not meant to happen, so Eddy has created a device to pull you out of a situation if you need time to recuperate. Because Alton's code is so simple, he doesn't need much time at all. Though, I would boost the 5 seconds to about 10.

Is this good? I'm super tired right now so this might not make sense or be a good idea.
<Snipped quote by Scarifar>

That's a fair point. I should change it from "one hit kills" to something a bit more standardized across enemies. How about "Damage is 2x the health of generic enemies of that area"?

<Snipped quote by Kafka Komedy>

Again, a fair point. Having x-ray vision or map awareness sounds useful. I might add that.

Question: What's the rules regarding Death? Can I have it so Alton can respawn faster/at all?

Sounds good.
