Mary | Eidolic Cairn

Suddenly, Mary was in a wall.

It all happened so fast. Mary was rushing towards the old man, sword in hand. He simply stood there with a warhammer in his hands, lax but obviously ready. Then suddenly she just... Couldn't see him anymore. He was obscured by a blur, something so fast Mary could barely just see it. A demon, full fleshed beast. The woman was cutting at him in Mary's place. They both stopped, and the demon crouched. And then,

Hell.

The demon activated it's devil trigger for just the tiniest of moments. Only a trained eye could catch something so fast. Especially when being launched into a wall. The demon released a painted shockwave that knocked Mary into one of the wall of the ruin. It crumpled on impact, and Mary felt herself cough up some liquid. She wiped it away with out looking at it for fear of it not being spit or bile.

Mary waited there for a while. Simply watching the demon play with her toys. Mary didn't bother listening to anything the any of them said. She only listened for Nero's voice. She looked over to him. His devil bringer was revealed, and he too was standing by. She pulled herself out of the rubble, and began to make her way over to him, on guard at all times so as to not get in the demon's way. Mary did not even fire a shot at her though, as a cocktail of fear and resignation spread through her. If only things had gone different, maybe they could have succeeded. The tall man who seemed unaffiliated actually managed to hit her once, twice even! But it was over now.

After ascending from below the pit (did she have a teleportation technique?) She unsheathed her blade. A ravenous demonic form appeared, chaos incarnate. Mary's entire body tensed, Falling Leaf Blade out and adrenaline pumping. Two beings made of some sort of substance appeared from underneath her feet, color's chaotically splayed all across its form. She began to dodge before it even ran at her, but even with Mary's enhanced speed, the construct managed touched the edge of Mary's face. The cut was clean, and silver began flowing out of it. Mary felt sick, and bile began to rise from her stomach, and tears began to form in her eyes. Without the help of her devil trigger, she would not even be able to survive two slices of the blade.

"Nero, we need to leave now!" She called out with a scream. But she couldn't even check if he was alive. If she gave this thing even an inch, it would not hesitate to decapitate her. The thought of activating her devil trigger crossed her mind again. She would rather die with honor.

I don't know who it is, actually. Pacha's pretty great though, I might bring him back.

Its Lord Hater from Wander Over Yonder
Jesus you guys are postin friggin fast. Ill need to step my game up over here.
I'll try and crank out a post tomorrow, but I'm unsure if I can.
Alright. So my plan was to roll, dodging Mary's sword, turn back, grab Mary by the leg, holster the hammer, and then swing her into Gomory.

I'd be cool with this, but Snider just got combo'd and Mary just got hit, if I'm reading Lug's post right.
@Kafka Komedy Hey fam, mind if I grabbed your character?

Like... physically grabbed?
Mary | Eidolic Cairn

Mary carefully circled around the rocky center of the ruins, hoping like hell the demon girl hadn't spotted her. Her movements mimicked Nero, crouched behind columns and broken walls to find the perfect position. She had to be careful not to alert-

"Hey there, Beelzebitch!"

Mary's head whipped around to the voice, a scowl on her face. She saw an old man, hopping across with some sort of portal magic. She face palmed, but stayed quiet. If he survived, she'd get him medical attention later. For now, he'd have to suffer for his stupid move. But somehow yet another person was foolish enough to make an attempt at her life, this time a robot. Weren't robots supposed to be smart and purely logical? A chip in him must've malfunctioned. The woman defended herself with ease, making quips all the while. But something other than her quip caught Mary.

"A civil demon will defend the world against a foulmouthed human."

Mary gave Nero a look of confusion before quickly switching her focus back on the action. Just quick enough to catch the demon destroy a significant amount of floating rocks. Did she not want to fight? Everyone quickly lowered their weapons. Slightly. It appears reason would prevail. For a second at least. She really wasn't impressed with Gilgamesh's operatives. They seemed so impressive at first glance, but... The DHO too. Had one of these agents really taken down the old Order? Mary would chock the victory up to Nero. Though he was a loner, he was smart, could be levelheaded, and fairly attractive. Mary followed him towards Gomory, as he directed the attention to himself. He, like a rational person, wanted to talk this out, but wasn't ruling out violence.

Suddenly, gunshots rang through the air, most whizzing by her boss and the demon. A cursory glance told you all you needed to know. A gruff looking man in his 40s, holding weaponry and some outdated technology. He commended them with all the respect of a used up dish rag, especially using literally the exact same line as that other guy. In fact they seemed pretty similar, down to their stupidity. Mary normally didn't get that angry at stuff like this. But this was the fate of the world and everybody was acting like... like idiots!

"I'm very sorry mister old man..." Mary began, a glint of anger apparent on her blank face. "But if you want a fight..." She began walking towards him now, hand gripping on one of her swords; she didn't even bother checking which, but the handle felt like the Burial Suit. She ran her hands up and down on the wrap that covered the handle. "Than please. Fight me instead." With that, she dashed in his direction, sword in hand. Hopefully while she was dealing with this annoyance, Nero could work out the issues with the demon.
@Kafka Komedy I'd like to post first, if that's alright. ^^"
