I like writing about strange people put into uncomfortable situations that force them to think creatively to overcome them. Brain worms currently include the Yakuza franchise, The Last Sovereign JRPG, Dragon Age, WH40K, Disco Elysium, and True Detective. Writing sample down below.

I can certainly imagine them having more prominence in the story than the original if we're working with an Origins story. Going into their culture, traditions, flushing out the cast to include more of them, that sort of thing. Having them be the focus would be difficult considering the vast majority of them end up dead and there's an ongoing apocalypse.
