I'd say sure, only I'm wondering how your character can communicate, if at all?

Also please specify what you would like your Reaper Name to be, so I can add it.

Faction Sheet for The Reapers of Castletain

Name: The Reapers of Castletain
Graphic: WIP (Hoping for a Castle Battlement with a curved scythe slicing across the front, colours undecided.)
Motto:
Death lives in all of us. -Motto of the Reapers
The Reaper does not sow, but subsists on carrion and graven earth. -First tenet of the Reaper Credo
The Reaper takes not debt, but collects on broken promises. -Second tenet of the Reaper credo
The Reaper brings neither justice nor redemption, only silence, and bloodcurdling screams. -Third tent of the Reaper credo

Leader: "The Reaper's Will" - Risherasja "Risk" Keen formed the Reapers out of sheer boredom, and he commands absolute authority and final say over which contracts the Reapers can or cannot take out. Each and every mark must be confirmed by written or recorded consent of the Reaper's Will.

Description: If you go to the less scrupulous bars, you'll find that on their corkboards are a plethora of pinned papers and ads, the sorts of banal and abase kinds of nonsense that only a drunk could seriously consider. There is also a distinctive, glossy black, and unblemished note, which reads as follows;

"The Reapers of Castletain ~ We kill people, so you don't have to. The best rates this side of Frixion Prime."

This glossy black note also contains the necessary contact information to gain the attention of the Reapers. However, this is typically the only kind of contact that ordinary, and more importantly alive people, ever have with the organization.

No living person sees a Reaper coming. For the dead, it's the last thing they see. And not even necessarily. They are an assassination guild, a group of ruthless killers exempt from the law, if only because no governmental body could hope to contain such a group for terribly long. After all, when the state tries to conquer Death, leaders tend to start dropping like flies...

Goals: Every Reaper comes to Death for a different reason, but they all know Death. Death is what binds Reapers together, and keeps them tightly knit. To deal Death in excruciating methods, in ruthlessly efficient methods, in merciful slow methods, to develop the science of Death; All Reapers practice Necrology, and in its exploration and experimentation, they further their understanding of the true Final Frontier. Reapers take money to fund their upkeep and further enrichment to continue this scientific endeavour. Their methods are those of assassination contracts, however the ultimate goal of the Reapers of Castletain in the long-term, is to become masters of Death, and avatars of what they view as the most primordial force in the universe.

Unique Abilities:

The Reaper's Eye - The ritual of initiation to the Reapers of Castletain grants each Reaper a scythe-like pattern in their eye (Characters without eyes have no discernible change). The Reaper's Eye, or informally "Deathsense," allows each Reaper to determine the precise cause of any living organism's death. This ability has a natural progressive ability curve, and also relies on the Reaper's personal body of knowledge regarding anatomy/physiology and methods used. For ex. A chemist could explain the precise chemical reaction and its effect on the victim's cells. A layman's Deathsense would only indicate to him that the victim was "poisoned."

Territories: "Castletain" is a codename for a classified planet which is not known under that label in public record. Their influence and control over this dwarf planet is absolute, as they are among the few residents of said planet. This planet is barren save for the actual residence of the Reapers, and all but the most basic of resources are imported under private commission. Most anybody who calls upon the Reapers will have heard rumours of where they dwell, however concrete details are next to non-existent. Of course, nobody has ever had the daring to attempt to track down the Reapers... Yet.

  • Critical Point: The Reapers of Castletain's Stronghold - The Headquarters, base of operations, and centre of communications. The nexus of the organization, if this Critical Point is lost, there is little to no hope for the continuation of the Reapers. As with the planet upon which it resides, there is an incredible dearth of information available to the public.
  • Critical Point: The Reaper's Eye's Focus requires a Reaper bequeathed with the ability take a life regularly to maintain the acuity of the Eye's power. The relative proportion of life ended affects the sharpening of the Focus, which means that if Reapers were prevented in some fashion, whether through isolation or other means, the Focus can be blinded. This can occur to individual Reapers, however an organization-wide Blinding would be devastating. P.S.: The Focus will be sharpened more by a healthy young male, than an old withered man. A squirrel's life sharpens less than a bear's. Etc.
  • Critical Point: The Reapers of Castletain rely heavily upon their notoriety and reputation of mystery, fear, danger. The first and easiest step to bringing down the group would be to demystify and humiliate the Reapers. But if you wish to start humiliating those Acolytes of Death, you'd best be prepared to fight for your life... And there is an uphill battle, trying to circumvent the oldest fear in the universe, of the monolithic END.

Allies: Death makes no allies.
Enemies: Death makes no enemies.

Any room for little ol' me?

@Kalleth
I am afraid your character is not exactly what we are looking for. We are keeping the homicidal Zelthis alive due to his value as a research subject and even he treads the thin line of being too violent. As things are, Risk is, well, a risk the Fleet would be more likely to put down than use for anything.

Very well. Perhaps we'll cross paths in the future... Until we meet again.

>: D
Greetings.

Was wondering if I could join your Motley fleet.

Risk Keen
"risk-free, eh..?"

Don't suppose you'd care to indulge in a little irony?

Risk Keen

I'll join if you'll have me.

Oh shit sorry! I almost forgot. Yeah you can join. Right now we're on a freighter we stole. Maybe your character was a deactivated robot?

<Snipped quote by Kalleth>

I'm sorry, but your character is too evil. We're pirates, but we're really more about adventure and occasional theft as opposed to murdering people for no real reason. You might fit in better among The Reapers, The Ragnarov Fleet, or maybe the Cult of Lychholme. Or you could start your own faction.

Okay. Maybe our paths will cross in the great starry black seas...

:D

Headmaster not only saw Jordens wang but, as he IS the water, I will let what that means linger unsaid.

Oh I am well aware of the ramifications of my character's actions. The real question is, will Kano make JORDAN aware of these facts?
