| Greetings friends, partners, enemies, acquaintances, and strangers. I am Kassarock, or just Kass if you prefer, welcome to my profile. Anyway, I am a 30 year old male roleplayer from the UK and a long time user of the site, although I have come and gone a fair bit over my time here. I used to be more active on the old site, and I still am relatively active in the off topic sections today, as well as in the guild's discord. So you might see me around. I generally consider myself to be an advanced writer, I pretty much always write multiple paragraphs, and will drop walls of text if the mood takes me. My grammar is okay, but not formally perfect, so I do not expect that from my partners either. I normally like quite dark and dramatic themes in terms of content in my roleplays, regardless of genre. Unless I have got an interest check up, or have messaged you, I am not usually looking for new partners to write with. I think that covers just about everything. I did it a lot in video games and just y'know... *cough*by-myself-on-my-own*cough* ... as a kid. But the first place I started play-by-post role playing online was here, waaaaaaay back in the heady days of 2009.
Y'know I'm actually gonna edit my character's backstory a little, mainly getting rid of the NPC wife I was thinking of doing because I can't be bothered with the extra work that will entail tbh

Tbh I'm fine with moving at a slower place, as long as people are still committed to continuing.
I recognise that some people may feel more inclined to jump ship if an RP seems to be slowing, but personally I see this as necessary for getting long term players. We often need to balance busy RL lives alongside what we do here, and setting a pace which avoids burn outs or people feeling snowed under by the sheer about of posts being generated is key to doing this.
I've been in RPs that have lasted for around 5 years, and generally these have had more relaxed schedule than most. But there does need to be a middle ground, between holding attention, and avoiding overload. Where this golden mean lies differs on an individual level. For me, its probably posting around once a week.
