Roxy silently made her way through hospital. She couldn't believe the call she had received. Of all the ways her father could try to force her to work for him this has to be one of the lowest he had tried. The doctor assured her it wasn't anything serious. Just a coma. As if being unaware of the world was a good thing. Well considering the magic that her father had available to him she was probably lucky that he had only but her lover to sleep.

That won't make me part of the group."Katherin told her. She had tried. It wasn't like she hadn't. But she couldn't contribute anything.

Katherin looked over her shoulder and shook her head. "Why? There isn't any point in me staying with the group. I will never be a part of it." It was clear that she was so far behind socially that she would never catch up. They would always be talking about things she knew nothing about and would never be able to experience.

"Oh...I hadn't thought of that. I guess that is helpful. But don't you still have to do the cutting, measuring and turning? I've never cooked but I don't think there are machines that can do those things. And there is knowing when the food is done. Can a machine do that? Katherin frowned. It was impossible. She would never understand these people. She had none of there experience. She felt alone and left out. She couldn't talk about the things they were talking about. She couldn't share funny stories like that. She had very few experiences to share. She had had to avoid people all of her life. Tears welled up in her eyes and she walked as far from the group as she could.
