Okay, I am off break and able to post more frequently again. I'll spend tomorrow catching up on reading then go from there~
I very much agree with that, @vancexentan.

And I feel it, @RoflsMazoy. Powerful, OP characters aren't always bad. It's just that a lot of people don't seem to know how to play them properly, I guess.
Oh my gosh how exciting! :D Hope you found one you love~

When I went to prom, I just borrowed a friend's old dress. xD It was very lovely and I was very happy with it, but I feel like I missed out on the big spending that goes with prom. (Boo hoo I saved money, right?)
I'll be honest and say I started RP'ing at about 9/10 (I'm 20 now), and it was awesome. Granted, I was very lucky lucky and always found patient and kind players and I ended up learning a lot. And looking back now, it's not a big deal. And RPing with younger people now isn't a big deal to me.

That said, when you start that young, everyone is going to be older than you. So keep this in mind if you're a pre-teen or young teen; more often than not, the other players will know better so don't be rude or quick to anger. Also keep in mind your characters will often be older than you--ask what it's like to be at this age or that age. Ask questions when you don't understand. And stay OUT of 18+ RPs. ALWAYS read the rules before going in and ask if the age level isn't listed. Personally, I would also advise avoiding one-on-ones unless you know your partner very well.

Stay safe, don't do anything you're uncomfortable with, and save all your characters so you can laugh at them when you actually learn to make better characters.
I don't like the words "good" and "bad" to describe it, but I do enjoy using more antagonist characters at times. It's also really hard to do, I think, but it's awesome when y'can do it well.
"Shy" characters that have no problem interacting with others.
"Rude" characters that are surprisingly polite in the "right" situation.
Lots of white characters, even in a setting that should be diverse.
On that note, a lot of straight characters (which is fine by itself but the instant romantic chemistry it leads to is way overdone).
OP characters.
"Asshole with a heart of gold" (but guilty as well).

I'm curious as to what y'all would like to see in a RP, though. Also curious if anyone here has taken measures in response to these things you see a lot of. For example, I see a lot of OP characters, so most of my characters are relatively weak in their settings haha. Make a lot of queer characters, too, so I don't have to deal with the romance.

Mira pursed her lips, contemplating his reply. Where would Lucian have fled to? Damn that Blackmoore woman--though the thought was followed up by guilt as it wasn't her fault she had been kidnapped. At Praetor's order, though, she nodded. "Okay, okay. I'll rest," she agreed. "Please take care of yourself--call off work if you have to. She patted at his arm, gratitude in her gaze, and hesitantly turned to retreat upstairs. "And please talk to Klaus by the evening. We have some new information thanks to Jenna and he was listening in," she added, turning to glance at him. Then she returned to her room where she finally fell into the fluff of her bed.
As Klaus walked by to return upstairs, he stuck his tongue out at Praetor; due to the shape the other man was in, he left his teasing at that.

When Praetor arrived, she was just finishing up. She turned her blue eyes on him, filled with worry, and stepped away from her work to talk to him. "What happened? Where's Lucian?" she asked, struggling to keep her tone even. She wanted to wrap her arms around her bodyguard and hug him tightly, but she restrained herself so she wouldn't agitate his new wounds. "And yes, she's upstairs resting for the day. We have another guest, as well, who's quite the bloody mess so be kind when you see her. Jenna is her name."
Aaand finally fixed my character sheets to match the new-old coding system lol.

Aaaaaand I wanna get at least Klaus out of the house, but I won't be on much after today to actually have him do anything. :c
Mira nodded politely when Jenna declined the offer for a bath and clothing. She was exhausted after all, and definitely needed the rest. "Well, if you need anything, you're free to ask anyone in this house," she reminded the new vampire. She watched for a moment as she disappeared into the room to collapse on the large bed; Mira much wanted to do the same, but she instead returned downstairs to clean up the kitchen. After putting the fallen chair back in its place, she went on to break out the cleaning supplies to deal with the blood.

"Go get some sleep," Klaus said from behind her, arms crossed over his bare chest.

Her eyes widened momentarily. Then her lips parted to argue; however, she supposed he had a point since he was able to sneak up on her. Still, she replied, "I need to clean up."

"I'll do it."

She scowled at him, but remained silent for a moment. Then she said, "You heard what she said?" When he nodded, she continued, "Okay. Then you know you were right, and I'll offer help to the Blackmoores this evening." The words tasted bad in her mouth, so she moved on. "Anyway, I'm almost done cleaning up and I don't trust you to do it." She nodded and turned back to her work with a yawn.

Klaus watched her and didn't object. Instead, he shrugged and turned to return upstairs. He'd like to leave, but he didn't trust two strangers alone with Mira and Praetor--especially when the former seemed to be injured.
