Elara knew she absolutely shouldn't have poured the man another drink. However, not only did Americans tip, they tipped more when they were drunk. So she shrugged as she poured him another whiskey before turning to her register and adding another to his growing tab. A smile remained on her face and her long--wavey today--dark hair bounced as she stepped between customers. Her tank top brandished the the bar's logo, but that's not what the other was looking at as she got on her toes and leaned over the counter to better hear a man's order. She was learning quite fast--she was already fluent in English, but working as a bartender had given her the chance to learn a variety of alcohols and bar slang. Granted, she didn't always get it right.

The young woman bit her lip, eyes wandering the ceiling for an answer to her question: "That's with vodka, yes?" Her accent was thick and low.

The answer was interrupted by the shattering of glass. Elara immediately pulled her away to her full height, eyes looking to the whiskey pooling over the counter and the man grumbling. The man she was serving had been stunned to silence, but she was on the move. "Hey, are you okay?" she asked as she quickly moved to pick up a rag--almost too quickly. It wasn't until she dropped the rag down on the spilled whiskey did she also smell the blood and see its red soaking into the white towel. "Oh non--" She abandoned the rag to try to reach over the counter, to check the man's hand. But he simply stumbled away and into the men's restroom.

"Um," she started, looking around for help--ideally for another man to follow him into the restroom while she cleaned up the bar.

@Blazion Honestly I really like it and I can see a rivalry blooming lol. They have a similar persona to play but in appearance and personality they are nearly opposites (Vivian seeming friendly but being an ass and Zoey being an ass but with a better morality). I think itll be interesting to explore.

Her round face and golden brown eyes; and her dark hair falls straight, stopping just short of her chin. She uses makeup to accent her eyes: the black eyeliner is thick, the eye shadow gold, and the mascara volumizing. Much of her strength is in her toned legs as she's always on the move. Her clothing of choice is mostly neutral colors: browns, blacks, and greys. She wears fashion inspired by post apocalyptic fiction with a sprinkle of goth. Her jewelry tends to be gold in color and is often decorated by skulls. However, the intimidation she was going for is easily lost to her size: she stands no taller than 5'2" and weighs in at only about 105 lbs. Other notable characteristics are the many earrings, piercings on the side of her nose and belly button, and the tattoos that start on her upper arm and extends to her back.

PERSONALITY

As a child, Vivian was--to put it bluntly--creepy: she was a quiet kid with an intelligent and perceptive gaze, and she hasn't grown out of this. There is still a knowing gleam in her eyes, but its often accompanied by a smirk nowadays. She likes chit chat and has a broad sense of humor, finding almost anything funny. Because of this, she is extremely charismatic and has a natural gravity: people tend to be drawn to her despite her edgier appearance. She certainly stands out even in personality. She's snarky and sarcastic, and it's usually charming, but she can definitely take it too far into mean territory, giving further insight into her personality: she is not nice. As quirky and fun Vivian can be, she cares little for other people and has much more fun being antagonistic than she does friendly. Her personal interests include comic books and anime, inspiring the impracticality of her alter ego.

Vivian was born across the Atlantic to a pair of dentists. All her youth, she was pushed toward education and tradition when all she wanted was to explore and experience the world. Instead of continuing to higher education, she skipped out and followed her at-the-time boyfriend's band to America. However, the band broke up, then they broke up, and Vivian was alone in a foreign country. For a few years, she bounced between jobs trying to make a living--often jobs that paid too little for too much work, off the books so she wouldn't have to return to England.

When her powers developed, all that changed: she took what she wanted and no longer worried about where her next paycheck or meal was coming from. Super Heroes are on the rise, however, and she needs a villainous persona to carry out her deeds.

SKILLS

- Pick pocket: Vivian came to America as a tourist, but now she preys on them. Her powers developing have only increased her success rate--or at least, her escape rate.
- (Novice) Combat: now that she risks tangling with superheroes and she has the ability to flee, she wants to develop her ability to fight. She's taking kick boxing classes twice a week to improve her athleticism.

The Reaper

Teleportation. Vivian is limited to teleporting how far she can clearly perceive. At her skill level, that means she's limited to as far as she can see. This is a distinct weakness for her because if it's dark or if she's blinded in some way, she's not going anywhere.

TOOLS

- Supervillain outfit: in order to conceal her identity, Vivian wears a gasmask and hood. With her boyish figure and cloak, as well, it's not easy to tell it's a woman under the clothes. People are generally unsure of The Reaper's gender.
- Supervillain weapon: a scythe, unused (for now). Vivian is one for theatrics, and while the scythe is an impractical weapon, it serves to define her motif of death. It's ultimately for the aesthetic and she doesn't know how to fight.

EXTRA

She does try to limit using her powers when she's dressed for the part, but she's also rather impulsive. In addition, while Vivian is rather talkative, the Reaper is ominously silent--truth is, her accent would be too recognizable if she engaged in conversation as the Reaper.

Alright, here's Vivian. She's a baby villain right now, but I can see her growing into the role if this RP continues on long enough. Or maybe anti-hero role, we'll see. I'm not even sure if you want villain-like characters, and I'm willing to scrap and start over if this isn't what you had in mind for the RP. Also I know I said was considering genderbending, but that didn't happen because goth gf, lol.

APPEARANCES

Tall heels hide her shortness and she's scrawny for your typical werewolf due to being turned into one rather than born. Though her once skinny arms and legs have gained lean muscle, giving her a slender and athletic appearance. She tends to dress in modern, high end fashion and slightly conservative. She feels most comfortable in clothing that drapes over her small frame and small amounts of jewelry--especially with her natural aversion to silver. Winter fashion compliments her pale, freckled skin and full dark lips. She has sharp eyes, deep grey-blue in color, generally accented with heavy and dark makeup. Elara has moderately thick eyebrows, adding to her intense and sharp features, the same color as her long dark hair. It's naturally extremely curly, but she maintains it so it's straight and few people have seen her with curly hair. Her hair is usually falling free about her shoulders, she sometimes styles it or ties it back so it's out her face.

As a werewolf, though, Elara has more than just her humanoid form: she can transform partly, her eyes growing brighter and her teeth and nails extending into animalistic weapons. Her ears grow pointed and her muscles bulge as she takes on a more aggressive persona. If she takes her transformation further, black coarse hair covers her body as her face changes into that of a wolf's. She grows taller and stronger, hands and feet turning into paws. In this form, she is a typical werewolf, if smaller, making her relatively week. Aside from the werewolf form, Elara is also capable of turning into a simple wolf, a shape shifting-like ability likely induced by the magic she had as a witch. Like her werewolf form, the wolf is relatively small with dark fur and bright grey eyes.

PERSONALITY

Elara's upbringing is reflected in her mannerisms: she's proud and well spoken. She demands to be treated with respect and can come off as judgmental when that respect isn't given in a correct way. Humiliated and unable to fully discuss the magical details of her family's fall from grace, she is careful and reserved when it comes to her personal life. However, she is generally extroverted in nature, enjoying time with and around people. She's surprisingly clever and likes to tease people--with pranks as a child but now white lies as an adult. Granted...she is used to the life of an heiress. She is materialistic and feels uncomfortable when her environment is unsavory. She's concerned about her appearance to the point of vanity and can be rather shallow.

- As a former witch, her magic affects her now as a werewolf. Rather than having one werewolf form like those in the pack who turned her, she can take the form of what appears a normal wolf as well.

WEAKNESSES

- Her magic affected in another way, however: also unlike the pack in Europe, she is bound to the moon as a werewolf. Her strength is highest on the full moon, but she is forced to turn. She is essentially human during a new moon. She thinks it was a witch's bond to the stars and astronomy that forced this upon her.
- Even as a werewolf, she is relatively weak. She is new to being a werewolf and struggles to find her new strengths. Other supernaturals are stronger than her; and on a new moon, humans are, too.
- Being a werewolf makes her weak to silver--honestly it's more of a fashion tragedy than a hazard to a beautiful winter like Elara.

BACKGROUND

Abandoned as a baby witch in America, Elara was adopted by an older French couple that had struggled with conceiving a child of their own. This was well before people new about the supernatural world, and her parents were surprised when Elara started showing her abilities for magic. Looking back, Elara is impressed in how the Decauxs handled their little witch. While she was strictly forbidden to practice it off the property, her parents were hesitantly supportive of her strange powers. Her mother went so far as to seek out other witches to her daughter to learn from while keeping well under wraps from the rest of high society. Needless to say, a lot of money went into her education--on and off the books. Through her teenage and college years, she remained spoiled but encouraged to grow intelligent and powerful. She lived the luxurious life of an heir without much of a care in the world. In addition, she always had a potential suitor--either found in her everyday or introduced to her by her parents--but none quite stuck. She preferred having friends, and the potential of being used for her money was always a scary thought for her--not to mention having to disclose the fact that she was a witch.

She lived the luxurious life of an heir without much of a care in the world, save for being given her father's fashion and design business as a means to prepare for running a business on her own. However, while acting as his protégé, he was confronted with accusations of embezzlement on multiple accounts. They didn't act like it, but neither she or her mother were surprised, and Elara knew her and her family's future could be at stake. So without even hesitating, she stepped up to the plate to put her magic to the test. Using her powers to erase evidence and meddle with minds and numbers, she was able to twist the story and free her guilty father from suspicion. With the family happily reunited and Elara proven to be a powerful weapon, they didn't quite learn their lesson. Instead, they sought more--unknowingly catching the attention of other supernaturals.

Encouraged by her parents to continue after the close call, Elara started to sit on more of her parents' meetings with clients and business partners. With her magic, she continued to meddle into their minds, creating deals that heavily favored the Decauxs at the cost of whomever went in with them. They came into ownership of the rarest art pieces. They bought out companies for much less than they were actually worth and over the course of several years, they became one of the wealthiest and most powerful families in France. Elara started taking on more and more responsibility, adjusting well to her role that would one day be head of the Decaux family. Her parents were older, after all, since they had waited so long to adopt a baby.

The Decauxs accumulated large sums of money thanks to Elara's deceptive magic. However, it all came to an end after the assassination. Once people realized magic and monsters existed in the world, powerful people came forward against the Decauxs with suspicions toward their strange adopted daughter. Among the people they had to deflect suspicion from was a werewolf: nothing like one you'd see in the movies. He wasn't hairy or feral, but rather sharply dressed and too cleanly shaven. He was the pack leader of the French 'wolves, but part of an older and larger European pack alliance, a superpower not only in the supernatural world, but the human world as well. To her parents, he offered to erase the mess caused by magic with a minimum sentence in prison to the father if Elara never used her magic again.While her parents agreed, Elara silently did not.

She would not let her family be torn apart and her magic taken away. As the case against Pierre Decaux was handled in court, Elara secretly used her magic to tamper with evidence in her father's favor. However, she was up against a powerful pack of werewolves and their witch allies. She was instantly discovered and punished: by the end of the case, both her parents were imprisoned on accounts of fraud, embezzlement, blackmail, and more. And Elara, who was never supposed to use her magic, lost the ability to use it all. She was turned into a werewolf by the same man who had visited her family, and then exiled from the pack for breaking the deal.

After that, with funds frozen, she struggled to make a living for herself without her parents. She jumped between waitressing jobs in France, saving as much money as she could to leave the country. While beaten for now, she didn't plan to just lie over and take to the rules of some dumb wolf. She would go to America, find her birth mother who must be a witch, and take back her silver throne. Now, she resides in Redhaven as a bartender until she figures out her next move.
