If you're buying "health food bars" make sure you check the sugar content. A little natural sugar is normal, but it ain't heathy if it has 20g added sugar.

Just shout to the heavens "UWOH SEGGS" and wait for divine inspiration. Or your family's disapproval. Whichever gets there first.

I love when I shovel myself out, drive through a snowstorm to get to work on time... and then my boss calls me 5 minutes after when I was supposed to arrive that he's not coming in and to go home...

OK. Trying to put anything resembling a specific "why is he like this" in his personality felt awful, but I did expand and tweak it. I also tweaked his history a bit. Everything in his personality should more or less link to something in his history and I don't think I was too subtle about it.

In hindsight I definitely got a little lazy just copy-pasting his old personality blurb. And his previous CS didn't even have a "history" section so while I knew what I wanted, I hadn't yet put it fully into words. Hopefully it's good now.

I also got rid of Krabby since we're confirmed now to be in training. But don't worry, Krabby will return in the next Avengers movie.

Edit: Oh, and I went back real quick and changed his pokemon stats a bit. Mostly slight nerfs for the same reason as Krabby's temporary removal.
I would definitely like up and coming. Then the RP can eventually evolve into the pro scene anyway if we want.
Gives more room for character development and stuff. And we can still have tournaments and much of what the pro level would have, just with slightly different framing.
Well I'd love to join, but I'd hate to make you step into a GM only role if that's not what you were hoping to do. I won't cry if it'd be easier for you to not have me.
This sounds highly intriguing to me if you're still open to people.
Tentative character sheet. Subject to change. From reading everything here it seems like it's up in the air whether we'll be starting as Pokemon League winners or not, but this is more or less what I'm going with.

Also when I was digging through the site to find the original CS to edit, I realized Yankee was part of the RP this character was originally made for lmao. What a coincidence.

I am very open to suggestions too! I wasn't sure the best way to format this rp just had a vibe I wanted to capture. Did you have a character in mind?
Birdboy

Not much for suggestions at the moment, but I'll let you know.
And I figured I'd recycle a character a made for another game a long time ago, though obviously modify them as needed to fit this better.
You said lots of angst, so they'll be a perfect fit for this.
Should I put the sheet together now and post it here? It's been a hot minute since I joined a group RP...

As for PvP, that makes sense too. I imagine it would be part of training, and possibly like rankings within this pre-league program (if that's what you're going with). I guess it would be slice of life (life on the road or in dorms or whatever), practical training with each other (PvP), and then professional matches with NPCs until tourney brackets pit the characters against each other for real?
Yankee

I do like the sound of that if that aligns with the original vision for the RP.

Well... it sounds cool and you get big points for mentioning Hajime no Ippo so I guess I'm in.
You have my attention.
Maybe this is a dumb question, but I would ask if this intended to be, for lack of a better way of putting it, PvP focused or...?
I mean I assume obviously players will battle each other at some point no matter what. Just curious to what extent it will be emphasised.

I feel like words are failing me and there had to have been a better way to ask that. I hope that made sense.

He probably should have been paying attention to what Reman and Jin were talking about. It was no doubt very important. However... the woman in front of him had just literally spoken his language. His eyes lit up instantly.

Now this wasn't an entirely novel experience for him. A fair number of people knew bits of sign language in the lower city for one reason or another. However, the few who had ever been willing to speak to him would quickly grow exasperated, unable to keep up with the speed and fluency of someone who literally relied on it as part of their normal life.

That said, he could already tell she was at least a step above the average individual he'd "spoken with" in the past.

You know sign too? His excitement was palpable. How much do you know? What made you learn? There was a slight "stutter" to his signing as he kept getting carried away and then forcing himself to slow down. He didn't want to scare away his new friend.

OK maybe it was a bit early to call them a friend, but where else was he going to find someone he could properly talk to out here?

Of course, if he was gonna ask her questions, it was only fair to give his own answer first, I didn't have a choice. He told her, tugging at his shirt collar to show the scars on his neck. He'd already verbally shut down before that incident, but it had certainly cemented things, and showing the scars on his neck was more straightforward. So no, he wasn't a big talker. He wasn't a talker at all in the traditional sense.

Weiyuan honestly had no idea what he was doing there. He had no idea why they were letting him tag along. It was plenty clear by now how useless he was in a fight.

Or at least this was a line of thought that kept repeating. Both had easy answers. He was staying with the only people he knew. They allowed it because they were aware his other half could pick up his slack if things got dangerous. If anything, he was under the impression that his other half might have actually been one of the most experienced benders in their group, though most of them had various other skills that tended to be far more useful minute to minute.

Once the coast was determined to be clear, he slowly trailed behind the rest of the group over to the wreck. Seeing the huge holes punched in it left him feeling uneasy, more so than was normal. Something must have happened with his other half. Occasionally this happened. If one of them experienced something that left a strong impact, the other might pick up on it if they came across the right trigger. Specific memories never came with these feelings, so he could only shudder and wonder why this was causing the phenomenon.

He had a feeling he didn't want to know the answer.

The woman from yesterday suddenly approached him, offering him water and asking his name. He didn't answer. He glanced at the others, but they were busy discussing something they'd seen. He'd only glimpsed her from a distance before, so why-?

Oh, right, he'd switched. His other half must have interacted with her, but... not enough to introduce themselves to each other?

He quickly fished around inside his coat and pulled out a notepad. Brand new, though still a little worse for wear, as part of the "reparations" the group had received. He furrowed his brow. It was annoying not having anyone he could communicate with normally, so he might as well prepare for the future while he was at it. He quickly wrote his name down directly onto the cover and held it up for her to see.
