hmm...That's kind of tricky depending on the methods of someone taking his energy but I'm assuming the method that your character uses. In that case since it's skin to skin contact (like X-men's rogue) He's either going to have his skin shift into material she can't draw energy through or since his body will not detect any immediate danger from her until she touch him, she may be able to take some energy until his body comes up with an efficient way to escape her touch, which I'm thinking, phasing.

Yeah but those are tests. I mean, if someone was trying to really harm him just to make him suffer. The person doing the torture will find any and everything to inflict pain or harm. One part, my character will simply sit there and watch in amusement, what this person would try to do but then again, if he creates several harmful situations at once, then he'd have a little trouble...i my opinion.

I think he could but I'd think that would be more for him reentering the earth's atmosphere. But since his body will need to adapt to space, his body will shift in different ways thats most efficient to survive (saying that he probably will not need the gases for his body to breath in space...also if he's not getting hit by fast approaching debris or going towards the sun.)

You know...this is the first time I picked a power where others were curious on the "if" factor lol. To be honest, I picked that power to play along with it to see how creative I could get.

Yeah I thought about that too. more than likely, he will only survive the vacuum of space but getting burned and stuff...he's on his own lol but let's just hope he don't get into that situation.

lol yeah he's like Darwin (The guy you're thinking about.) And yeah I'm sure he could survive, but like before, depends on how extreme or severe the exposure is.

Hell...makes me want to do more research on what counter measures my character will have to make to survive various things. I'd hate to see him on a torture table.

Hmm...that's a good question...his body may have to turn into energy itself to survive it but then again, she may be able to manipulate that same energy or if need be, his body may have to teleport itself away from her. The body will try to find ways to adapt if it's not too extreme but it depends on how extreme your character's power is.

Power/mutation: Reactive evolution - his body automatically adapts to any situation or environment he is placed in, allowing him to survive possibly anything Ex: if it's pitch black, his eyes can adjust into night vision for him to see. gains gills if submerged in water. fire proof skin is exposed to flames. no longer requiring oxygen if shot into space with no protection...so on and so forth (all adaptations are temporary functions). the only weaknesses in his ability is if the danger or situation is too extreme or too fast or unable to see the attack coming to defend against it. And if he was to intake a substance that he can't adapt to. Another limit is that he can adapt to one thing at a time. if there are multiple things to adapt to, he will be vulnerable to the others while adapting to one.

Yeah pretty much. His body is like the eyes and ears. If you can't see or hear something coming, you can't brace yourself or be ready. Well the body won't sense danger until I presents itself and at the same time, his body will have to identify what dangers or situation its about to go through. I just takes a couple of seconds to respond to something depending on how extreme it is. Don't worry, I'm not gonna godmod or make this power broken or anything lol

Not really because his body will adapt to the on coming blow from the sword by making his skin metallic or something hard enough to withstand it but the only ways he could get harmed by the bone sword is if he's adapting to one thing already while the bone sword impales him after. Meaning, he can adapt to one thing at a time and also if the attack is too fast to react to. Meaning, if your character was to shake his hand and bring about a surprise attack, his body may not react in time to protect him.

And also if he was to swallow something his body could not adapt to.

You know, there's gotta be some things too extreme or fast for him to adapt to, right?

Yeah he'll have his limits. If its multiple dangers at once, his body will not be able to adapt to them all. And there are some extremes he can't survive or have a hard time surviving to.
