i prefer to RP casual but if you write more than a screenful at a time i probably can't keep up with you.
i work monday tuesday wednesday and saturday, play DnD on fridays and sometimes i'm just not around. if i’m afk for several days, i’m probably just working or depressed and you can always reach me by dm. i’ll pretty reliably check the site every night even if i don’t post anything.

He could meet up with Haddie, my necromancer, or maybe run into Lucian and/or @KiwiTime’s characters heading out for the day.

The icy silence that followed Aava’s testament was punctuated by a thud as the clerk passed out and slumped forward on her desk, dropping her book onto the polished floor. In some measure he was horrified, sure, but above all he was confused by Aava’s manner. She was a persuasive beast, cunning and playful like a wicked barn cat. Her habits and needs for flesh were revolting, that went without saying, but she didn’t ask to be that way. They were all horrible prey to fate, to bad fortune, to a vengeful god somewhere; they had all suffered more than their share, to bring suffering was the way of things. She was no more a monster than he or James, right? As he watched his skeletal friend go he scrambled to quell the flames.
“J-James, wait, she’s not a monster it’s just—“ he choked on excuses, withdrawing somewhat as he watched James leave. He looked back to Aava. “Where… (Aava, where have you been? What happened to you?)”
accidentally posted my next IC here bc i’m a fool
Liked everyone’s last post because I’m FINALLY over my sickness. Finally mostly over my sickness. Same thing. I’m living again is the point lol.

“I don’t work for the cops, I don’t work for anyone!” Beck squawked. She felt her phone buzz again and realized all at once she was just being taunted, and he was really getting to her. With a restrained sigh she composed herself enough to walk away. “Whatever, man. Good luck hunting, if anyone needs it it’s you.”
She turned on her heel and returned to her vehicle, taking out her phone and reading Vanessa’s texts. Safely in the driver’s seat she responded, trying to be inconspicuous when she looked back to the row of buildings in case Hayato was still watching her.
werewolf. hes looking for vampires.
Beck casually drove out of Hayato’s view, rounding the next corner and to the other side of the block, scanning the area carefully to see if there were any alleyways that might connect back to where she’d left Vanessa.
@Eviledd1984 Don’t apologize, that’s fine! If someone irl told me they eat kids I’d do the same thing, completely fair and realistic reaction lol.
I’m at work so I’ll respond late tonite, but that clerk who saw them walk in absolutely just passed out hearing that.

EDIT: i’m tired and empty will reply tomorrow before DnD 💫
Yeah there’s no way Evren could have softened that blow lmao.
oh god, Luc's crimson and Evren's cc3300 look absolutely the same on my computer screen unless my brightness is jacked WAY up. i'll change that later to be more distinct. Luc might get a respectable dark blue or something, lol.

i have a few bits of info for y'all

first @KiwiTime it's probably confusing that i'm calling the character Luc OOC but IC he's Lucian but Evren calls him Lucifer. They're not-boyfriends and Luc has had a lot of names over time, the name he uses now is Lucian. and he's infinitely more well-adjusted than Evren lmao

and @Eviledd1984 if you need more info on Näkki try here. unfortunately atm i don't have anything much better than wikipedia, but i'll check my huge folder of links tomorrow and dm you if i find something helpful. @Cio do you have any resources?
@KiwiTime

Bring your companion, I’d love to finally meet her. I’ll treat for breakfast. Pamela’s?
Lucian set his phone down on his coffee table and sat back on his plush sofa, elbows on his knees and fingers interlocked. He rested his chin on his clasped hands and let out a tired sigh. He was a man of secrets, but with the supernatural being normalized he often felt terribly vulnerable. In some ways it was a good thing, outcasted peoples were able to connect with each other more easily than ever, and while there was invaluable safety in numbers there was perhaps more in shadow. He knew that better than anyone else.
He'd founded Redhaven, created a place where vampires could hide securely from the world. At one time their peaceful coven had hundreds of brothers and sisters; he was the only one left now. Children of the blood remained, descended of Those First but distanced from their ancestry; distanced from the heritage that lay solely within Lucian's own blood. That was how he saw it, anyway.
It was odd to see new bloods living so openly. For someone so old this was very new, almost uncomfortable territory. Certainly uncomfortable. Especially with the Guard of the Holy Spirit running amok and with so much public support from weak-minded mortals, whelps who were too young and honest stood to lose a lot for mistakes they didn't make.
Girlfriend. Sorry, I’m showing my age.

"You were very handsome, if you don't mind me saying so." Evren said softly. "I know what you mean, though, James. Living too long and losing too many, I suppose it's in our nature." He spoke generally about the undead, knowing his statement was empty and impersonal but lacking a real answer to Duckie's grief. Instead he quietly read the passage Duck had pointed him to, wondering what ever came of this Jeremiah.
Evren finished reading as Duckie asked his questions about sirens. "She's like a siren. She's a näkki, from a lake in Finland. If there's anything you want to know, though, you can just ask her." Evren looked back to Aava and asked her to join them.
In the past, in Finland, Aava certainly knew when she was speaking a foreign tongue. Though he was sure now that his friend was cognizant of the world around her (at least for the most part), her manner of speaking seemed unconscious, as if some control had gotten away from her.
@Eviledd1984 absolutely not, your posts have been great!

@KiwiTime it’s not a problem, I check the thread regularly. I’m subbed so i’ll always get notifs.
And holy post!! That’s very long lol. I’m working right now so I probably won’t be able to write an adequate reply until tomorrow morning.
