Shi resisted pumping her fist when she was told that she would be allowed to use Kido, though she was unsure about how fair it would be given what the other shinigami had said. She would have to make sure to make sure to use just the right amount and not just blast him from a distance, after all she wanted to look good for Captain Yoshi! It was at this point that sai had vanished and within a moment returned with the wooden swords and Shi was taken aback to say the least, she had never seen anyone move that fast! "Understood Captain Yoshi" Reaching out with one hand to take the wooden sword she handed off her Zanpakuto to the captain before looking around to find a good place to stand and face her opponent. "I am sure we wont disappoint." She commented as she moved to her place, lowering the blade to her side she held it with both hands and seemingly leaving her defenseless. "By the way" She gestured with a nod towards the other shinigami she was facing. "My name is Koyoshi."
It's highly probable that she met Gin in business, but would they ever talk considering what they are? Even if there is a, uhh...height difference D:
True, since I was told half onis mostly reside within the oni tribes so I guess we would have common ground to talk to one another. Due to his size she would treat him like a kid though XD
How does my character look? Any suggestions or criticisms?
Hmmm, I really like him but I think the main problem would be his purpose? Why would he be sent on this trip with everyone?
Shi shook Captain Yoshi's hand with a big smile on her face, glad that she was being so eagerly welcomed into the squad like that. "It is nice to meet you as well captain!" After letting go of the captains hand Shi adjusted her scarf and listened to what she had planed for them, and as expected it would not be as easy as Shi was hoping to join squad 13. "Umm..." She could not help but mutter in a soft toned voice, her head turning and then trailing up the much larger man beside her. However with the captain already on her way Shi had no choice but to start following, if this was really going to happen then she had to know if she would have any kind of advantage in the fight. "Captain Yoshi, I was wondering. Are we going to be able to use Kido? Or is it swords only?" She looked towards Sataro, really unsure if she could take him in a straight up fight, well if one was going by looks alone.
Well we can talk about it now right? For instance I am pretty such that Yuu would know her fellow enforcers like Jiang for just plain working together or maybe something more.
She may have met Gin before, maybe to take a weapon or two to him for fixing? Of course not her own since it is a piece of junk XD
Looks nice. So refreshing to see so many Japanese inspired characters who aren't total lone wolf badasses with dark names. One character is great at cooking and wants to share that gift. Another is great at preparing tea and enjoys a simple life. You both did very well so far in my opinion. You gave your characters personality and ambitions over making them the strongest, coolest bad ass.
Honestly I think it has just as much of the tone that has been set up already, the world is detailed and it makes you want to make complex chars that can fit within those roles.
Also just saying, Gut's sword ent as big as the real life biggest sword used in combat at 7 foot XD

Master of Posing: As a member of his family, being able to strike a pose and look great during all that he does is paramount. They may be separated right now, but posing is still a very important skill to maintain.

The small figure exclaimed as her pony tail waved back and forth, causing some of the other shinigami to chuckle as they saw the small girl struggling to read a crudely drawn map, but soon enough she had enough of it and just chucked it to the side. She scowled at it for a moment, but soon sighed and started looking around for some kind of sign to tell her where she was. At least she was in the location of the barracks, all she had to do was wait and-, "ah-hah!" spot a shinigami with the squad 13 mark on their armband!
Shi tried her best to pretend like she was not following the guy but was sadly failing, but at least she saw the barracks! Dashing past the one she was following and making her way inside Shi almost stopped dead in her tracks as she looked around in awe hardly able to believe that she was finally in such a place. It was then that she saw part of a white coat vanish around a corner, this was the perfect chance. Straightening her uniform and hair she made her way towards where she had seen the captain go. She did stop at the door for a moment when she heard talking but soon discovered it was her chance to introduce herself as well! Though she waited until the other shinigami answered first "E-Excuse me? My name is Koyo-Shi, I have been directed to join sqaud 13 and....Wow" Shi was looking towards Sai with a little blush on her face, a real captain amazing!

Combat: As expected of someone with Oni blood running through their body Yuu is a natural fighter capable of taking on both armed enemies and beasts with her bare hands. She tends to only use her fists as to not accidentally kill anyone, but she does wield large weapons with surprising amount of skill. Though she does not have any 'martial arts' training, her natural talent and instincts combined with her oni blood more than make up for any downfall.
Cooking:A secret Passion for Yuu is cooking! She will more than happily cook for almost anyone and enjoy it, even if she complains about it. She hopes one day to outclass even the best cook in Baji.
Handy: Being raised by a seemingly lazy women who often went out a lot, Yuu was left to defend for herself most of the time and learned a lot of basic skills. Ranging from sewing, fixing a cart wheel to stopping a old roof from caving in!
Youkai Mystic: When one is the adoptive daughter of the Legendary Youkai Mystic Kyuki Wakahisa, one is commonly expected to know a little something themselves. Yuu's knowledge is in demand given that her mother does not take requests, and given it often lands her good money she does not mind.

A massive old blade of the oni tribes that has been mostly mistreated. She often wont carry the blade around unless traveling.

Sake Jug: Filled with fruity low alcohol sake. Money wallet bag: Something to keep her money in Thin wire: Something she picked up for tieing things up and it can even be used to cut wood, works as a sort of weapon too. Youkai Survival kit: Basic things such as a small knife, fishing line, hooks, incense, fire lighters, super basic seals.
Personality: Yuu may seem indifferent towards the world and its problems but deep down she cares, she just chooses not to show it on the surface. She loves good food more than anything else, even more than booze which she tries to avoid the strong stuff out of fear of becoming addicted and the ... Incident happening again. Despite her indifference towards modesty she has a shy weakness towards compliments. However her half blood nature shows when she is in battle as she enjoys a good fight more than anything, even holding back in an effort to make any fight last longer.
Brief history: On a stormy night many years ago a Oni women came to the house of Kyuki, a old friend, and pleaded with the women to care for the small bundle that she held within her arms. Out of friendship the women agreed and take the bundle into her home, watching the Oni rest her sword against the side of the building before sprinting off into the storm. A sad look overcame the womens face as she unwrapped the bundle, reveling a small baby within with eyes of darkest night and brightest gold.
That was the day that Yuu came to reside within the Legendery Youkai Mystics hut, being raised by her human mother whose methods while unorthodox were effective in raising a world wise child. Though she had only a few friends within the near by human village and was feared for her rather unqiue eyes, she grew up relatively safely and by the time she was a teen was fending off bandits and beasts from her home. On the day she had come of age a rather noble looking man came to their home begging with her mother to come join the Shima clan, however in a sudden twist of fate Kyuki gestured to Yuu "Why not take her. Tis good enough" She smirked, taking a puff from her pipe and staring down to a shocked Yuu. A rather heated argument came about from that involving words Yuu wished she had never said, as now she knows that Kyuki was only trying to get her a good life. Thankfully the very next day was when she noticed this, and so joined the Shima clan.
